DEAR PRIVATE MESSAGE SNOB
It has come to my attention, that many of the players on this site, including the newbies, are being harassed and criticized OOC or because of how they role-play IC. I happen to like getting chewed out, so I will be so kind as to turn off my moderation of comments to hear your criticism. I happen to like the new people and would like to keep them. This may be one of those discussions I never get a message on, but I thought this should be brought to Admin's attention. It's not right for a new person to come on and be harassed in private messages and be scared off the site. So I will be sacrificing myself for it. So. If you hate the way I roleplay, hate this message, think I'm just dumb, or I should just fall in a hole (teehee). Leave a comment here or on my profile, hell, if you see me in chat send me a message.

the only problem *i* can see with it is that nobody can do anything if it's NOT reported. the cops can't catch a criminal who doesn't exist and can't prosecute without evidence... screen capture everytime! i know i've had issues before and without some bit of proof, there's really not much that can be done. if anyone knows something is going on, ya gotta help the admins! they're there to help us.. but we gotta help them help us

Eh, Nary's right. But also, that's just common disrespect. Which people seem to be lacking. I JUST saw this, so I apologize for not posting sooner GC <3. But honestly, if you see that, just report it. Or if you don't want to do that, make them well known and accepted ICly. Then people wont chew them out or harass them. There's also the ignore feature, which has proved to be wonderfully handy. but yeah... I'd go with Nary's advice and just report them.

Report them.....then guide the newbies in expanding their world and....sticking up for themselves in a creative way!

It's so easy to forget there is another human being on the other end of a chat. Someone who is sitting at a computer, laptop, iPod, whatever, just as you are. I've been guilty in the past and I think most of us have.
It really is essential, though, that harassment be reported. It will NOT be tolerated by the administrators. Take a screen shot of your PM screen or give a link to the offensive comments on profiles and blogs. The admins can't police PMs or read every comment, but they do take action as quickly as they can.
