As some of you may have noticed, we have installed a new Multiverse chat system on RolePages.com - This is a new incarnation of an old system that was in place about a year ago. We are trying it out again because some of the issues that forced us to stop using it were fixed, and some additional features have been added to make it more desirable.

The new Multiverse does require you to sign up for an account the first time. However once you do it can remember your username and password, and auto log you in each time. You also have the option of entering as a guest with any username you want.

Some of the features of this new chat include:

- Full, automatically created transcripts
- Multiple Admin created rooms
- Whisper and direct talk functionality
- Sound indicated instant messages
- The ability to play music, sounds, and youtube clips directly in the room.
- The ability to upload your own custom avatar picture to match the one on Main Chat.

At this time we are leaving both old multiverse chat, and new multiverse chat installed, while we test the new system out to make sure that it is compatible with all users. Once we are satisfied that it is sufficiently stable and secure, the old multiverse chat will be removed from the site.

Then post a reply to this thread, indicating whether you like the new chat or not, and listing any bugs or problems that you had. You can also indicate whether you prefer the new chat or the old.
