Questions that I don't understand.
Okay, I need to get this out there. I've been with this site for about a year now, but as a few different accounts. I've found some things with Rolepages that I had thought would go away, but clearly wont if I'm still bitching about it. If I'm correct this site is Rolepages - Where Anyone Is Possible, correct? So why do so many of us bitch about the characters on here?
Some of us are original characters, others aren't. I've been both. When I was roleplaying as a character from Hellsing, I was constantly bitched about how I "didn't roleplay her properly." Yeh, I didn't roleplay her as a full on exact copy of Seras. I added my own touches to her. But really, I can't stand when people PM me telling me how she -NEEDS- to be played. If I went Seras as a full on exact copy, I would have gotten bored with her AGESSSS ago. I can understand if you lecture about it if I was far off. Like Seras being a guy, with brown hair, and isn't even a vampire. But why must people be pissed off if there is a few differences of how a character is played?
People bitch about being more then one of the same character, whether or not they are the same character as you. Can't you just find a way to make it work? It'd be much easier then spending hours on end arguing over who should keep the character.
Then the last thing I wanna ask is about the OTHER roleplayers. Most of ya keep to the same people and don't even give the other characters a chance. I can understand if you actually talk to them and they get on your nerves to were you don't want to do any IC shit with them, but before even giving them a chance? That's something that pisses me off, and it's not just because you miss their post. Some people go as far as reposting the same post 5 times to get the attention, and then just go off like "Blahhh no one loves me!" Some of ya don't even give a bit of acknowledgement of the other characters. Or how some characters (Such as the Pokemon when they had been around) would just be kicked, then ignored. I hate it when some characters don't have great roleplaying skills, but I still give them a shot. >o> Some of them are actually pretty cool...
I felt that these needed to be put out there...

Loki just gonna say this now, alot of the families on here are part of the main storyline so they're not gonna confine themselves to groups to role-play together, we're not saying don't approach us we're saying if we're busy dont be surprised if we either don't answer or say something along the lines of "I'm busy right now" we're allowed to rp family stuff in main, depending on the topic my lot usually reply to others too, however if it's important we say so

I agree, but they shouldn't be surprised or annoyed, especially if they are new here. I do agree that if you're going family on main is a good idea because you have a very interesting topic, but it is hard for people who want to converse but have no one since every action they do isn't seen or replied at. I understand though, so I am choosing to be impartial, despite many of the things I agree with on Sterling's part. Thank you. ( OOC )

I totally agree with this and I'm very glad some have noticed it as well. As you can see I play an already made character from Hellboy 2 and already people have ignored me or they tell me how I rp ((style or character wise)) is wrong, I've been rping and writing for 6+ years and I came from a site were everyone was included and let in on things. It didn't matter if you were an OC or a pre-made character, everyone got along. If someone was new to the site or alone in a chat, someone would interact with them. I do however understand that some people have other things going on and I respect that, but it does hurt peoples feeling and turns them away when they are ignored. I try very hard to include and interact with everyone I meet. I even go out of my wat for them in hopes that I can bring them joy in thier rps, it makes me sad that some are just to set on thier own stories and don't care for others. Basic point is that I totally agree and it's a real turn off to some to be ignored and bitched at.
Now some people may not agree with me, that's fine and I totally respect them and thier opinions. I just thought I'd express how I feel on the matter.

I'm actually happy that you brought this up Sterling with your point of view on role playing. I have been doing it for 4 years now and I hate it when people come up to my friends or myself saying "Oh your not doing your character the right way or oh are you using my celebrity"((for OCs)) It used to drive me insane but I have come to terms with it. And I agree with not having to be the "cookie cutter" type standard for a character that already exists. For instance, I play Morgana Pendragon, and her character is supposed to be somewhat evil but I chose to play both sides of her and if someone has a problem with it well they can GTFO my page xD! But hail to the power of the people

I for one don't care what other people do... if they are boring or unoriginal then I don't have to play with them. If they are arrogant snobs then they can get stuffed as well. I guess I just don't like people and I come on here to be able to vent at all the poor innocents that don't know what is happening to them when I interact with them. Have fun on Rolepages... I will be watching for you.

Amon makes a good point. We had a rough time for awhile when the second Girlycard appeared, but the two of them worked it out beautifully, but some characters can't be duplicated. We have ONE Satan from this dimension - Asmodelius. If anybody else wants to play Satan, he will have to come from another dimension, because the story background is extremely well established.
The other thing is - there are going to be some people (me, for one) who has no idea you are playing a character from some series or whatever. I didn't know Seras Victoria wasn't an original character. And nobody should get their panties in a bunch if someone develops a borrowed character away from the original. I don't think the anime Girlycard ever married a Felis named Devek, just for example.
I'm sorry you were treated this way, Seras/Sterling. It sucks.

I think it really shows a poor RPer when their true colors show they view RP as a competition for ego-points.
My character is an original character created for an unoriginal world and thus containing uncreative elements. I've never cared for originality one way or another. (Let's face it; If there's a god she could sue us all /so/ hard right now for ripping off /life/.)

Alright, im just finally gonna throw my take on all this. Amon, Fluffhy, Dal are absolutly correct. But on another standpoint to go even geekier and more pycotic, When i play Rom i have a certain realism 'i'will not break, if im talking to six other peple and you say my name from scrossed the bar im nt going to respond, if i just entered and all you do is wave? Not responding, for all you kmnow im not even facing you. And i react true to Rom, as he would, as my character would, if i didnt i would be being myself, and in truth f the mater those of us who roleplay want to be someone else, have that diffrent personality, have a diffrent person to be, be a diffrent person, and i have come t the conclusion that it is a Personality disorder for those of us that are like that, i even find myself talking to Rom in my head about what happens and stuff. To really get his take. Dunno if that makes sense about he cliques, but its really one of the main reasons. Or if your a super god whos been here for a week? Im not going to rp with you, its not fair to me or anyone else that you have all these powers, and demand respect, earn it just like we did, and have fun doing it just like we did. ^^
