Where Anyone is Possible
Is anybody else not able to move their Text Box on their pages? You know the box where you can add extra text and pictures and stuff to? Well, I can't seem to move mine anywhere on my page. I'm able to move my comment box and other boxes and stuff on my page where I want them except for the Text Box. I use to have it at the top of my page, but some how it moved itself at the bottom on my page and I can't seem to move it back for some reason. I'm guessing a site glitch? Even the "edit" button on it looks kind of funny looking compared to the other Edit buttons on the other boxes.
EDITED:
I just have been informed that the Text Boxes are now finally fixed! Thanks to my good friend Natasha Cooper for posting her comment on here and letting us know. Thanks Natasha. And thanks to the Rolepages administrators and Nings for their hard work on fixing the problem! And thanks to everybody for taking the time to read this post and to comment on it. Now we RPers are so happy to be able to customize our pages how we want them again. =D

Permalink Reply by Dante Mitchell on July 13, 2012 at 7:26am Well I totally fucked up my page even if I said I would leave everything way it is I had had to go and move my fucking music box :( I thought it would move if you touch text box thing cause that what I did on my other page.

I believe your problem is a Ning thing. Mostly happens if you try to do fancy things with the layout generally. Have seen the same thing happen on other Ning sites. You may want to look into a Ning Forum to see if the programmers have some work around.
Permalink Reply by Sonya Corvis (Lensherr) on July 15, 2012 at 10:27pm I don't know. I have a friend on here who doesn't use her Text Box at all for anything and she can't seem to move her's either. Have you tried moving yours to see if you can move it? Also, I have made a few new accounts this week and before I did anything fancy to them I still wasn't able to move my Text Box on them. Thanks for the comment and advice. I'll sure will look into it.

Permalink Reply by Joseph Gambit on July 17, 2012 at 10:51am This is a known issue which we are currently working to resolve. The technicians responsible for maintaining the Ning software that the site is based on have been contacted, and they in turn have given this situation an elevated priority. Right now they are working on it, and as soon as I have so more information I'll post here and let everyone know.

Permalink Reply by Joseph Gambit on July 19, 2012 at 8:09am I just wanted to update this thread and let everyone know that the engineers at Ning are still working on the problem. I have also linked them to this thread, and I ask that if you are still experiencing this issue, you post as much detailed information about it here, as possible. That will help them to identify where the problem is. Thank you.

Permalink Reply by Sonya Corvis (Lensherr) on July 19, 2012 at 9:16pm Like I said in my post above, I'm not able to select to move my Text Box anywhere on the page, but I'm still able to edit the box by adding pictures and text in it, but just not able to move it where I want it to be.
This all started about a week or more ago when a friend came to me stating they're not able to movie their box anywhere. I didn't know about this problem yet, because I pretty much had my stuff where I wanted it on my page. So I went to my page and tried to move my text box, but it wouldn't let me select it to move it. So I thought maybe if I tried moving my music playlist box above it to see if it would force the Text box to move down, but it wouldn't let me. So I placed my music playlist back where I had it. So after refreshing my page somehow my text box was moved from the very top to the very bottom on my page. I thought it was strange, because I haven't even tried moving it all the way down there. So I guessed after trying to move my other stuff on my page may have caused it to move at the bottom on it's own. I haven't been able to move it back since. I tried moving my comment box and other stuff underneath the Text Box, but it wouldn't let me place them underneath it. This is all I have noticed about the problem and I'm still not able to move it.

Pretty much same problem I'm having with text box
Permalink Reply by Sonya Corvis (Lensherr) on July 22, 2012 at 8:18pm It seems the Text Box is effected on how you arrange your page. One of my friends figured out if you move most of your stuff in the middle part of your page it would move the Text Box up. Sometimes above your comment section. But it depends how you arrange your page though. If you move something else back toward the side of the page it would most likely move your Text Box back down. But the problem is we're still not able select to move our Text Box where we want it to be exactly though.

A longer way to get around it is to move all your other boxes around it until you find it placed where you wanted it in the first place, yes its a pain in the ass but eventually it will get to where you need it to be - at least until Ning comes through.
Permalink Reply by Sonya Corvis (Lensherr) on July 31, 2012 at 11:56pm Yeah, but I would have to move most of all my stuff in the middle part of my page and thats not how I want my page to be set up. And even if I did, I can't get the box exactly where I want it, which is at the the very top. Like you said, it's a pain in the ass to keep rearranging until it cooperates where I want it to be. So I'm might just have to leave my page how it is until Ning can fix the problem. I hope they do soon. Thanks for the advice though.
