Sweet Seduction - Vampires and Role Playing
The world is pretty much in love with vampires right now. Between Twilight, True Blood, and the glut of vampiric young adult novels out there, it’s pretty safe to say that fangs are in at the moment.
One of the great lures of these dark creatures is that people want to be them. To be immortal, sexy, and super strong for an eternity is a pretty attractive proposition. However all of these positive qualities are balanced out by that dark need, a lust that can only be absolved in blood.
When it comes to role playing there are a lot of nerdy games and practices out there. Weird is weird, no matter what crowd your talking about. However, sexy is also sexy, and vampire role playing has a sweet appeal that goes a little bit further than your average dungeons and dragon’s game.
Vampires are seductive. The lure of being taken into their dark world is appealing. Unfortunately it’s also unreal. However that doesn’t have to stop you from dreaming.
That is the true allure of vampire fiction, and the answer as to why it has suddenly swept across the nation. It is also the answer to why vampire interactive, fiction, is so popular right now. The ability to enjoy the creative process, focused through a sexy, strong, immortal creature, shared with others, is a powerful and moving experience.
In the end the idea of “role-playing” can be pretty ridiculous. It is a game of make believe. And yet creative visualization is the ability to imagine yourself as someone else, in order to become them. Maybe we can’t become real vampires, but we can come closer to them, through creative visualization, perhaps shared with a group of friends.

"role-playing" and vampires have been around for quite some time -- just recently us "vampires" have begun coming out of the closet. It is a very intriguing aspect of life and holds many dreams.
I think the biggest lure to being a vampire is mortality and power -- sexuality does play a role, but not like it once did. The unknown is more sexy then the tight black dress and shapely figure. Maybe I just showing my age -- sorry!!
Role playing is a great way to escape realizty and let your inner child come out and play!

Trueblood, from what little I have seen in clips, is trashy, not sexy. Being a vampire is NOT about sex appeal, and there is nothing honorable about the exploitation of women, human or vampire. It is sad that over the centuries human society is de-evolving so.

The problem is that modern humans lack any sense of sophistication and honor, they are base creatures and are obsessed with sex and violence so of course, when they portray anything such as the vampire world, they are going to try to make it just as sleazy and they are.....almost all of the media has gotten that way these days.

thank you. i could have said it better myself. infact i think everyone should go along with the vampires who are different. like my char she just have fire for her powers. i also try to stay within vampire fact too. ugh. it would be alot alot of research though. lol. my thoughts!
