Long ago in the lush, verdant world of Airmelia, there was a single race of magical beings. They became split into three separate races over disagreements in the usage of magic, creating the Elves, the Iumenta, and the Humans.

Humans had no magic, so the Elves and Iumenta came out more powerful, and eventually started to squabble over how the humans should be managed. Elves preferred to let the humans rule themselves, managing their own empires and enjoying freedom. The Iumenta wanted to subject them, use them as a work-force.

Several decades ago, war broke out as these two powerful forces clashed with one another, and the humans bore the brunt of the warfare. The Elves were eventually pushed back and the Iumenta forces took over the human lands, slowly warping them into the perfect workforce - one that thinks it has plenty of freedom, but in reality is being magically swayed against their own will.

However, the war is not over... Since their defeat, the Elves have set up a Resistance in the South. They continue to fight, taking the battle one day at a time, and hoping that one day the prophecy of the Ever Sol Vol will bring them within grasp of victory.
