Where Anyone is Possible
Troops mass in the courtyard before him, many races and cultures mixing in one unified whole, this was the Rebellion, his rebellion. Warships, Transports, and Freighters formed a ragtag fleet above, interspersed with the real fire power Odd had brought himself, and the remnants of the Old Alliance. This was it, Civil War... die laying down, or live standing up

Comment by Robert Oddman on November 15, 2012 at 7:18am -This place had become somewhat of a hub for edge dwellers... a fact he had become painfully aware of on his return, with an eyebrow cocked at the ramshackle city that had risen around the old fortress, tin roofed shacks and full prefab buildings stacked one one top of the other as the sand slowly claimed what once belonged to it... ships careened overhead, weaving between the heavy chains that secured antique barrage balloons, larger ships standing above the them, holding vigil over the rebel city... he stood on the ramparts of the old fortress, glancing down at the yard below, hundreds of languages chattering at once in the bizarre that had grown up below-
*She keeps an eye on things from the shadows as always, hitting the rumor mills, watching those that come and go...and those that make a show of it. Kurz was caught in her gaze but since she didn't have any information to offer as to joining the ranks, she said nothing and remained anonymous in the crowd.*

*Kurz shoulders his way into the courtyard, pushing past the rebel soldiers. He hefts his rifle on his shoulder and looks up at the baffling array of ships; some rusted heaps of scrap metal, others shimmering fighters bred for war. He asks one soldier after another if they know where he can sign up, but they shake their heads and go about their business.*
*Curiosity always got the better of Lark. Whispers reached her ears of an official grouping of rebels. Since the day of her first breath, she's always been defiant. Though she never was much of a "team player" she popped by anyways. Whether or not this circle needed funds, she didn't care. She left with a small sack of donated coins amounting to about 1000 gold pieces, a calling card. No name, no number, merely a white card with a sketched outline of a bird. Her point was made. She was here, listening and watching from the shadows.*

I wish to speak with the Leader of the Rebels

My blade and skills are of use for the Rebels now. Who's the one giving orders around here?

"To my fellow rebels,During my observations of the battles on the tavern's new screens I propose a few changes that should aid us.
1:I think that we should create an espionage branch of the alliance dedicated to countering the regime's forces, stealing information etc. This is because of the highly advanced nature of the enemies tactics such as the mechs.
2:Extending on point one,I personally think we should organize the alliance into several factions specializing in a different area each with their own commander who will report to the current leader of the Alliance and meet together in a council every few days to discuss our current situation. I propose that these branches are:
Training and recruitment:To win the hearts and minds of Hellifynans and teach them to defend themselves.
Engineering:Dedicated to maintaining the rebel fleet, anything mechanical, countering the various advanced technological threats of the regime etc.
Espionage:Self explanatory,explained above.
Treasury and Resources:To supply our alliance with the resources it needs. We can have all the guns we want but without food,we're still screwed. Perhaps Harry will help?
Healers to tend to the wounded,Communications,The navy, air and sea force. You get the gist.
3:I believe that we should be pushing for new members to join the alliance and find a way to save Odd whilst preparing for the trials to come. By the way hidden bodyguards may be useful for those at risk from capture such as Odd was.
I hope that these ramblings from a madman help you and further our cause. Please feel free to ask me any questions or discuss,I am... interested by your own opinions. Thank you for reading,Take care. Hail the cause!
-Anjalo.-
