She ran across the fields of grass, running into the forest, dodging trees and rocks as the almost full moon lit the way. Her white fur swaying in the cool breeze as she ran, feeling the smooth soil beneath her paws. She howled as she ran, hearing several more howls in response.

Suddenly she ran into an open field and stopped. She had reached her destination. Smiling, the white wolf walked toward the stone archway, seeing the Otherworld, still and peaceful as it had always been. She stopped at the arch and closed her eyes, shifting back to her human form.

Her fur disappeared, her ears shrunk back down to human size, her muzzle shortening back to a normal human mouth. Her canine teeth shifting back to her human teeth, her tail going back into her spine until there was nothing. Claws were shrunk down to fingernails and her paws returned to human hands. Her brownish blonde hair reached down to mid back. Her amber eyes going back to their natural blue color.

Looking at the archway, she stared into the Otherworld, smiling happily and eager to enter. She looked at the stone dragons, bowing before them in respect, then walked through the arch and into Otherworld, the entrance shimmering and becoming hidden once again as if there had been no one there.

She breathed in the clean and fresh air as she walked calmly towards the castle, hearing the waves of the ocean nearby, crashing into the cliff the castle was near. The grass felt cool and soft under her feet, also getting wet from the dew. She loved the feeling and enjoyed it.

When she reached the castle, she looked around.

Everything was clean and rejuvenated. It had taken her a long time to rebuild and clean everything here but she succeeded.

As she looked around, she stopped and stared a bit. "So quiet and empty."

She hoped others would find the entrance leading to Otherworld. It was nice here but she was the only one there with no one to talk to, except for the animals and other creatures that lived there. She wanted someone that was like her to find this place and discover how beautiful and fascinating it was here.

She went back outside and sat in the grass, her jeans getting wet but she didn't care. She smiled as she remembered the first time she discovered this place, being excited and running around like she was free. But she kept asking herself why only she discover it first.

The shapeshifter answered her own question in a whisper. "Everything happens for a reason."

Another figure enters the area. He wares a large cloak."But nothing is set in stone." He looks at her. "Have we meet before?" He has wite seagull wings and he streaches them. "Either way, this is a beautiful place." He sits next to her.
The shapeshifter looks at the figure, still smiling, then looked up at the sky. "Yes, this is a beautiful place. And if we have met before, I'm sure I would remember you." she looks from the sky to the forest, watching as the animals ate in peace, walking around.

The sun started rising, creating a very beautiful view of everything. "Such a wonderful world that is in perfect balance." then she grew quiet for a minute before saying. "But not everything stays in balance forever."

He gave one last sweep of his scythe and beheaded the foul Arch Daemon, but as he turned from his foe the Gate opened and in he fell along with the banished creatures of the shadow.

Awakening, he finds himself upon a grassy knoll, a great castle rises before him.

"How hath I come to be here?" he wondered allowed to the world.

Her wolf ears twitching, hearing a voice coming from the right and she looked, seeing a figure wielding a scythe, then she shifted to her wolf form and quietly went over to him, staying hidden among the tall grass.

"Hmmm. A stranger...friend or foe? I will find out."

She was intent and eager to find out if the newcomer was a friend or threat to her world.

He gazed upon the land about his vantage point, noting the tall grass that covered a majority of the surrounding land from the foot of the knoll.

Tilting his head back slightly, still obscured by his hood, he sniffed the wind trying to determine his location.  As his gaze returned to the fields he sees something is not right, but does not know what.

Being cautoius, he places himself in a more ready position, calling out to the grass, "Hallo out there, show yourself be yee friend or foe to the people of Ulric."  Patiently, he awaits a reply.

She stopped and watched him, her ice blue eyes glowing. Then she moved closer, not sure how close she could get without being attacked. Her tail twitched and her ears perked forward as she sniffed the air, getting his scent.

Aura circled him quietly, each step she took was quiet and careful, her eyes locked onto him as she watched him. Then she growled a bit, letting him know she was there.

He stopped, hearing the soft growl.  In response the scythe dissipates from his grip, and the cloak grows, as if the being within is growing broader and having greater build.  In place of the scythe a glaive fills his hand, which is encased in overlapping scales of deepest blue.  The glaive's shaft is of an alien metal, its tip shaped like a flanged sword with a vicious back swing.

"I'll assume that since your not trying to sneak up on me that you're not my foe.  If I have offended I would ammend the offense.  If you seek to test my metal, then come face me upon this knoll."

He plants the glaive in the ground head first, slowly turning to face the source of the growl.

She stopped in front of him, staring, then calmly walked into view, showing herself to him. Her body fur was black but her face fur was a snowy white and her eyes glowed a very icy blue. She looked at his eyes and stared at him, waiting for his response.

Aura knew not to attack one that did not attack without warning. So she showed no fear or hostility towards him.

Slowly, as not to alarm the newcomer, Loziras drew back his hood.  Revealed in the morning light was a rough hewn human face, framed with Auburn hair and eyes that swam between hazel and brown.  His steady gaze locked with that of the wolf, gaguing her intentions.

After satisfying his curiosity, he spoke "Show your true self, and I'll show mine if it pleases thee."  He rested his hand on the hilt of his sword, not threatening, but not trying to hide the movement either.

She nodded in understanding and closed her eyes, her body shifting back to its human form. When finished, she opened her eyes and stared at him.

"Hello. What is your name and why are you here?"

She held no weapons of any kind, nor said any chant or spell against him. She remained nonthreatening.

He removed his hand from the hilt, quickly studying her.  Then he closed his eyes, and his skin slowly faded leaving a midnight blue skull in its place, eyes of a soft almost kind fire filling the sockets.

"I am known as Loziras, as to how I cam to be here I do not know.  And who might you, so fierce and majestic as the winter wolf, be?"  He leans on his glaive, allowing himself to relax slightly.

She smiled softly, her eyes calm. "I live here. This is my home. In this world is balance and peace. My name is Aura." she bowed in respect to him, showing she was polite and had manners.

"So Loziras. You have no rememberance of how you ended up here?"
