Orconta is a large city that sits in the center of an ocean not too far from the Caribbean. Surrounding the city is a stone wall stretched to block the view from outsiders who may stumble upon it. There are sections separating the center of the city that holds the human population who are skilled in machinery, weapons, armor, transportation, and more. They loathe anything less than nor is human at all for which they rarely if ever cross the line from their area to the sections that inhabits the paranormals and supernatural beings of all kinds. Few humans who want to go visit them are forbidden to do so unless they can figure around to sneak there undetected. The same goes for the non-humans who prevents them to step on their soil without a good reason that is. Any intimacy with interspecies is often a cause for conflicts or worse, but there have been cases where some has looked past this hoping it doesn’t get out of hand too much. Orconta has several sections that hold a number of the supernatural creatures to the paranormals.
Getting to Orconta requires a boat or any vessel that can cross the water just to dock there. The city has many laborers who work to make a living, money talks in Orconta so even the races need income. There are the residential areas and the business district in each of the sections. Homes in the central part of Orconta are the apartments as well as single to two-story homes, hotels are available for visitors. There are the poor sections for those who are unable to get a decent job known as the slums, most stay in trouble there while the richer parts of the area have those who are either middle or upper class, while the lower class reside in the low costly homes.
In Character Rules
Those that are dependent may live with someone as long they help maintain the household for when an inspector comes around to check to see how clean it is. Any bills paid is biweekly, so be watching out for a bill in your mailbox and pay those taxes when at all possible. A dependent person does not need to pay bills or pay taxes unless their roommates who also have jobs can help out.
Central – Humans, they do everything manually.
Northern Section – Vampire island, it’s always dark there, phases of the moon do occur
Southern Section – Shifter Town. Cursed shifters must wear an accessory to prevent shifting into their animal form due to a spell cast upon them in the past. Others include shifters who are born of one or both shifting parents will shift earlier than 7 to 12 years of age for full blood who are very powerful as long they shift often the minute they start their first shift, each shift experience varies from one shifter to another. One animal per shifter such as a raven shifter may have the characteristics of a raven even when not shifted into while a cat shifter will be able to balance on beams to seeing clearly in the dark even as a human. Chameleons are humans who can shift into other people(dead or alive) through being born from one or both parents with this gift, there is the mixture of being able to shift to another person while shifting into their animal form all at once as long they have the genes of both parents. Mythical shifters are shifters that are dragons, griffons, roc etc. Mer is the offspring of aquatic shifters and human parents or two mer parents, most of them live in the southeastern section known as mer village on a beach front, here the merpeople is surrounded by ocean as well as beach houses they reside in. Taurians are the offspring of human and equine shifters who live in the southwestern village known as taur village.
Western Section – Magic City. Is governed by the strongest magic users and those who are born with the gift can start training the moment they come into power usually around 7 to 12 years of old for purebreds and half-breeds begin at 16-18. Purebreds can cast spells with no limits whereas for half-bloods it’s limited to how many spells they can learn so must choose which is appropriate for them. There are witches, wizards, sorcerers, and more.
Eastern section – Faerie Mountain. The faerie mountain is governed by the current queen and king of the faeriefolk. Faeries of all walks of life live in mounds similar to any house. They are born from some bug shifters and human parents such as those that shift into any insects with transparent wings such as flies, bees, hornets, butterflies, moths etc. There are light and dark faeries.
North eastern – Elemental Town. Elementals are paranormals who uses the elements to they’re whim. As they get stronger so do their elemental ability. There are the pure elementals who are a particular element while duality elementals are born of two elemental parents of different elements while those that harness three elements are known as the trinity elementals, four are the quartet elemental while having all five is the quinary elementals who is extremely rare.
