"He grinned absently, nodding in agreement. Klaus loved Constance more than life itself, that much was apparent - though nothing could compare to his books. "T-t-t-that she is-s-s." Giving a happy sigh, Mr. Todd turned to look at her,…"

"Fumbling about, Klaus very nearly dropped the books he had been carrying. Slowly, he set them down, contemplating on dealing with the clerk or leaving the much needed volumes on the floor. Mr. Todd, of course, went with the first option.
""My th-h-ings?" He asked softly, brows coming together. He was perfectly capable of carrying his books, seeing as he wasn't completely inept at doing anything just yet, and he liked to pretend that he could. Still, the help was…"
"Put off was a nice way of putting it. The poor man was petrified. His stuttering and shaking had only increased upon the discovery of his daughter-in-law, made worse by her apparent knowledge of medicines. Doctors had always frightened him, then…"

"She sh-sh-ouldn't-t min-d-d." Klaus said at once, his voice barely above a murmur. Constance was quite a matron, really. She was born to be a mother, God knows she became a mother to everyone. Keeping his ambling, shuffling gait, Klaus kept going, leaning heavily on the cane he had been using since his leg had given out with age. "Ah. A c-c-curfew?" He tried to smile, though it failed miserably. Klaus rarely smiled, and his shyness had only worsened throughout the years, though he was slowly getting used to Crougy.
He grinned absently, nodding in agreement. Klaus loved Constance more than life itself, that much was apparent - though nothing could compare to his books. "T-t-t-that she is-s-s." Giving a happy sigh, Mr. Todd turned to look at her, frowning at her anxious look. "S-s-somet-t-t-hing the ma-m-atter?"
