Claudia is the only daughter of Lucrezia Borgia, as fathered by either Augustus or Amadore Giovanni. Claudia came of age under the rule of her Grandfather, Rodrigo Borgia who was at the time Pope Alexander. She was raised by Rodrigo's mistress, Giulia Farnese, and her Uncle Cesare. Lady Lucrezia had very little to do with her daughter's upbringing as a child. A punishment from Cesare, but that decree also fed directly into the beautiful vampire, Giulia Farnese, plans for a child of Borgia blood. It was Giulia who had instructed her lover's daughter to bed Claudia's father, and in return, Giulia would agree to Embrace her as a Farnese vampire once the child was delivered.
Claudia had a unusual upbringing at the hands of Giulia. She was raised as any Farnese daughter would have been, in the ancestral home of the Alaczar of Segovia and given an education that was thorough in all aspects. Weapons, literature, history, even the arts of espionage.
Claudia excelled at studying human behavior. Able to see the smallest patterns in events and behaviors, and decipher what they meant. It was that gift which gave Giulia cause to set her to purpose for the Farnese family. At the tender age of 12 she was one of the most capable spys the Farnese Clan had. Giulia would take her with her on state visits and no one would pay attention to the pretty, if odd, child who said little and heard much. Though Giulia was always careful to keep her away from her birth father's equally formidable line.
By the time she was 15, her grandfather had died, the Curia in Rome was under a new Pope and her Uncle was soon to be Embraced into the Farnese Clan at her mother's insistence and in exchange for fighting Farnese wars. Once officially a vampire, Cesare took back Claudia from Giulia, keeping her with him and Lucrezia as they proceeded about Clan business. Claudia continue to excel in the arts of espionage and the more subtle nuances of European politics as she grew. When she was roughly 20 her mother turned her into a ghoul.
On Giulia's death bed, after having been mortally poisoned by a magical concoction of unknown origin, she warned Claudia to be wary of her mother but more importantly, her uncle. Claudia took that warning to heart and began spying not only on the enemies of her Clan, but the Clan itself, in preparation for a future departure to seek the favor of the other powers. Claudia remained with her original Clan until her uncle had her mother murdered to remove her as his consort and elevate Claudia to the position, one she did not desire. Claudia refused to become Cesare's mate. Reasoning that it was a hallow thing to be a Cesare proclaimed 'queen' of what was essential a lesser house in the world of the Dark. She would have a larger prize, and it was certainly not Cesare Borgia.
Sable dark hair, vivid sapphire eyes. Always described as elegant, if not beautiful. Very dangerous, though you'd never guess it to look at her.
Claudia is very different from her pale haired, rose and milk skinned mother, Lucrezia. She resembles her Uncle Cesare or Juan far more. Though she does possess the same ivory snow complexion of her maternal grandmother, Vanozza Cattenei. She's taller then most women of the age in which she was born, standing around 5 foot 7. She's shapely and lithe, but with admirable curves where females ought to have curves.
Claudia strives for subtlety, precision, and elegance in all things (save passion). She fights like a dancer, favoring blades and close weapon work over guns. A stiletto is her preferred type of blade. She has found that the weapon's reach, and its slim, easy to hide blade suits her needs well.
However, when required, she is most capable with firearms, and carries twin Browning Hi Power 9mm pistols in addition to a Keltec .380. As a Borgia, one can never be too careful...
My Secrets Are...
My secret (or at least one that I am willing to share) is I was able to learn very quickly how to make the best of the world into which I was born. While still a child, I already understood the role those in power would condemn me to if I allowed them, namely being quiet and doing what I was told. This afforded me the perfect opportunity to listen and observe, so that I might give the appearance of a dutiful girl while accruing knowledge through any means possible, so that one day I might be able to have a say in my own fate. I listened not to what people told me or each other, which naturally was of little to no interest, but to whatever it was they were trying to hide. I practiced detachment. I learned how to look serene, content, and absolutely inscrutable, no matter what I might truly be feeling. I became a virtuosa in deceit and manipulation. It wasn't the pleasure of my self-appointed masters I was after, it was knowledge. I have consulted the strictest moralists to learn how to appear, the most creative philosophers to find out what they think, and the most charming scoundrels to better understand what I can get away with. In the end, I have distilled everything to one wonderfully simple principle: win or die.
The end justifies the means. Always. And that the only way to know the future is to have the power to shape it.
Well, well, well... If it isn't the Borgia Princess. You owe me a thank you. It was me that sealed your families fate with a kiss. Rodrigo sold his soul... Cesare sold his... Juan... The list goes on, Luv. Even your blessed mother. I made you, and all I want is a lil chat with your highness. I'll be waiting....
~*Ok! This is a long over due reboot for Claudia.*~Claudia sighed and looked out over the glittering lights of Consequence. Something was missing. Somewhere along the way... her hands had been tied behind her back by one who claimed to only wish to protect her. This wasn't protection, it was imprisonment, being cut…See More
