My Story Is...

At the age of 5 I was taken away from my family because I was a "witch". I was put through test after test until they let me go back home for "Faking it all along." Three weeks after being home my mother died, then my father a few days later, then my oldest brother, my sister, everyone died that stepped foot into the house, other then me.

Because I was an orphan now I was taken to the orphanage in the main part of town. No one wanted me because they thought I was something else now. When in fact I was just a normal human girl, or so I pleated. A few years past and it was around my 7th birthday when a sweet younger woman and her husband came in. They were very new to the town and had bought a beautiful home on the other side of town. Because they didn't know about the history of my family and everything that happened, I was adopted. I felt very happy until the woman fell sick. I had been with them about 4 months. When she pasted away everyone started to talk about how it was my fault. They told the man what they thought I was, he tried to tell them she was just sick and it wasn't because of me. But, they wouldn't listen and soon he started to believe them. By this time I was 7 and knew better then to go back to the orphanage if I was lucky. So, one night I packed up some clothes and took some food. Then I wrote a note saying that I never did anything to my parents or his wife. But, I wasn't going to stay around to see what they thought about it.

For a few years I wondered in the woods, growing very smart with plants and animals. I even built my own small tree house in one of the bigger trees. All was well until I knew it was time to go to a town that no one knew who I was or what my old home thought about me. I packed my things up once more and left my home in the trees for a real one I would have to buy.

I didn't have much money but by this time I was about 13 and knew I could work. I lied about my age and got a job at a diner. It was run by a husband and wife who were very nice. As time went on I told them how old I really was and what had happened. When I told them about my family the wife pulled me into a hug and said I would stay with them, they didn't care if death followed me wherever I went.

Nothing bad happened and I lived with them for a while. Then, one night, I was sitting outside on the porch and could hear something inside the house. I got up and went inside to find a man with black eyes standing in the kitchen, both the man and the woman who owned the diner were dead. I started to scream when the man with black eyes grabbed me, shaking me he said "You are marked Clementine. You can not get away from this. I will be with you, wherever you are." And he was gone.

To make matters worse I went for a walk a few weeks after the man and woman were buried. There I found a man, covered in blood. He had fangs as well. I went to run but was grabbed and knocked out. I was kept in a cellar for many years, until now. The demon that was following me gave up, the vampire who had me was killed, and I'm 17 years old without a family to go home to. And I still don't know what I am.
