Better Living Through Art

The first time it only happened a little. I was working on a painting, it was a bit of an impressionistic piece, depicting in hazy illuminated tones the spirit of a giddy schoolgirl at play. I was especially enjoying the light springtime greens that sparkled across her forehead.

Tiger in the Paint

Today I painted a tiger. I don't know why i did it, I knew what was going to happen, but I guess I was just feeling a little bored with life, so I went for it.

He started pacing around on the canvas before I was even done, making it quite difficult to get his lovely stripes straight. But I did, because I am a perfectionist.

The second I was finished wham, he leaped right off the page, and there he was, a 10 foot long tiger pacing back and forth in my living room.
