He crawls across the ground beaten and battered

Simply lying there he thinks about what was it he did

Why are the gods so angry at he

What was it he did to deserve such a massive punishment

Was it because he fell in love with a seductress

Maybe it was because he had loved at all

Once he used to soar almost as high as his heart did when he thought of her

Now he had crash landed to the ground and his bones shattered

Leaving him to wallow in his pain and self pity

But is self pity really such a bad thing in a time like this

He will never fly again after the gods themselves broke them out of jealousy

All because he let his heart open and let his feelings pour out

He let her in time and time again and she was only the Delilah to his Samson

Maybe one day he will find peace

But until then he will remain crawling across the earth waiting for her to return

The true one who broke his wings....and his heart.
