Where Anyone is Possible
Here's Chapter 3!
"You have to WHAT?!" Daloki exclaimed.
"Travel back in time, save Echo and Romulus, and figure out a way to torture Lex because next time I see him his ass is grass." I said easily. But it wouldn't be. Time traveling is dangerous and cost us big, like our lives.
"We can all agree on that part." Girly said and I had a tight smile on.
"I don't agree with this. It's too dangerous." Gus said. "You could create an Inbalance of Time."
"A what-of-what?" I asked so confused.
Rye sighed in exasperation. "Don't you pay attention at all during missions? An Inbalance of Time is when you mess with the past and it screws up the future."
"Right, must have slipped my mind." I said lamely.
"Obviously Annie's the one who has to go." Daloki said.
"I can't do this alone. I need some people to come with me."
"How many?" Rye asked. Daloki answered this for me.
"I'd say about 2-3 people." I took a deep breath.
"Annieke, you have to pick. Now." Sasuke said.
"Okay! Okay! I pick Girly, Rye, only because you can teleport, and Daloki." I can do this. I just kept on thinking to myself, I. Can. Do. This. Because somehow I had to kill Elexin without creating an Inbalance of Time.
"Let's do this, Bitches!" Girly said. Everyone was stocking up. Rye was getting her fill of food and Girly was getting knives. Me? I have Fire on my side, while I just happen to notice that Daloki stashed a gun that was the same gun that Elexin used to kill two people that didn't deserve to die.
"Daloki, wait! Don't put that gun away."
"Why?" She asked curiously.
"That's the gun Elexin used to kill Rom and Echo."
"Are you sure? Because they make a lot of Instakills, Annie."
"Where did you find it?" I asked.
"Elexins table." She groaned. "So, what do we do with it?"
"Give it to me. I can burn it." I said and she handed me the gun. When no one was looking, I put the gun in my boot.
"Oh and Annie?" Daloki asked.
"Yeah?" I said.
"That's not where you burn a gun." She looked down to my boot.
"I can't do this without having a weapon. I feel useless." I said sighing.
"Close your eyes and take a deep breath." I did that and then I felt a burning sensation on my cheek.
"What the FUCK was that for?" I yelled.
"Listen, I don't know why the Gods have chosen you to do this task. Maybe to get higher up in ranks, I don't know. But you can do this and you can't break down otherwise all Hell is going to break loose."
"Fine." I said rubbing my cheek.
"Then let's go! Rye! Open the portal!" And Rye did. God we were really going to do this. Oh God, I'm going to be a hero, I thought as we went into the portal. Oh. My. God. The pain was excruciating. It felt like I was getting hit by a bus and burned alive. At the same time. Then it all stopped. We landed in Elexin and Echos bedroom and I landed on the bed. Rye landed on top of me.
"Oomph!" I said.
"Well, this is awkward." Rye said.
"Just get off me!" I said as I pushed her off.
"Shut up! Both of you! We need to find Echo first. She dies first, right Annie?" Girly asked. I hated thinking about it, but I pushed that thought away.
"Yeah, she was."
"She's probably in her study." Daloki said. "Let's go."
"You think this is where they, like, do it?" I asked and everyone groaned. Rye slapped me upside the head.
"Let's just get this done." Girly said.
"Agreed," We all said. We opened the door to her study and Echo was reading a book.
"Echo, we have to go." I said as calmly as I could.
"Why?" She asked looking at all of us.
"Elexin is going to kill you. So, let's go!" Girly said.
"Girly," I whispered, "Calm."
"Girly," Daloki said, "Go get Romulus."
"Fine." And she darted off.
"Darling, can we talk?" Elexin asked.
"In a minute, sweetie, I am, um, on a great page." Echo said
"Alright." He said, not sounding too happy about it. I listened with my vampyre senses.
"Shit guys, he's not buying it. I can sense him, which means he can sense me. We need to go now." I said.
"Alright," Echo said. She stood up.
"Girly," I whispered sharply. They darted in.
"Sorry. SOMEONE over here is a fucking heavy sleeper." Girly grumbled.
"Guilty." Rom blushed.
"Let's get ready, I can hear him coming up the stairs." I froze. He sent me a message telepathically. You won't be able to get out alive Miss Annie. Surrender yourself and they can live.
"Annie, Annie!" I opened my eyes.
"What the hell happened?" I asked getting up.
"You froze and then fainted. What happened to you."
"You'll see." It's for the greater good. I have to die so they can live. The door opened and Elexin Harbindale walked through. My arms were in flames, my face giving nothing away except pure hatred.
"Don't come any closer, Elexin." Daloki said.
"I'm just here to talk with your Fire User." He said. Walk forward towards me. His words were so compelling I listened to them. One by one, my feet moved.
"What the fuck are you doing, Annie?! Rye asked. Then I came up with a last minute plan, but hid it.
"She has decided to join me." Elexin said. Throw a ring of fire around us. I threw my arms out and a circle was around Elexin and me.
"Annie, are you serious?!" Daloki asked and I mouthed: No. I got the gun out of my boot.
"I will never join you." And I shot him in the stomach. The fire died down. I moved away from him as he was dying.
"Did you seriously think I was going to join him? He was compelling me in my mind. Leaders sort of have that on you. I hate Elexin." A shimmering light appeared before us and who the fuck appears? My maker, Savannah.
"Looks like I missed out on all the fun." She said.
"Would anyone care to tell us why we were in danger?" Echo asked.
"Elexin was a part of the AMRA, you have to kill the people you love and then kill yourself. Elexin woosed out on that part and ran. Sort of suicide bomberish, but without the bombs. Or you can use bombs if you like."
I eyed her suspiciously. "How do you know all of this?"
"I've crossed paths with the AMRA numerous times. When you were first created, they wanted you. Said a newborn could be useful. But they saw into your soul and the only other person you loved was on Earth. They don't interfere with other planets. It gets too hasty."
"Wow, thanks Savannah." I threw a fireball at her and it hit her in the shoulder.
"I've always hated that ability about you. The 'genetic defect.'" She brushed off her shoulder.
"Whore," Girly said, "She is not worth your time. Let's go! Rye! Portal!" Rye opened up the portal and they practically had to drag me through it.
"Oh and P.S.?" Savannah said.
"What?" Daloki said narrowing her eyes.
"Elexin's dead." We went through the portal in horror knowing that it was going to be a shitty future, that we could die. Something along those lines. We got back to the present and only something that Daloki and I would realize was happening. There was a Blood Hunt, and it was for us.
