*Augustus had said to be ready for his man to show at 5; so I was currently sat within my study in the temple, back on Chalzan. My door open as I sat in the light of a small lamp; watching the door expectantly.*
~Dressed in his normal, hospital wear, light teal colored slacks and a button up shirt. Moments pass as he travels through the dark fold, the Giovanni means of travel and when he suddenly comes to, he's finally at the temples doors, briefcase in hand~ This is the place.. ~He announces before knocking on the temples door~
*And I finally stand from my office and move to the doors of the temple; which start to open wide when Sandro first knocks upon them. Having now been set to recognize Giovanni as free to enter. So when the doors open Sandro would find himself watching as I move down the hallway in my best clothes. A suit and tie actually. Black suit with a red vest underneath. The tie a crimson red as well. It was obvious how little this outfit was wore by the creases in it from being hung up so long.* Ahhhh; welcome Sandro. I've been expecting you.
~The Giovanni is quite timid, tensed despite his masters words of reassurance. When he spots Alexander coming down the hallway toward him, he lifts the briefcase higher and continues on in toward the man. His hair is well combed, falling back behind his ears~ I'm sure you have. I have some papers that you need to sign.
Of course. *I meet the man part way down the hall; turning around with him and setting my hand between his shoulder blades to lead him towards my office.* Let's move to my office where we can speak in a more.... Private location. *I say; people peeking out of doorways at us as we walk past; but a stern look from their leader sends them scurrying back to their duties.*
~Sandro continues his brisk pace forward with Xander, a simple nod of his head delivered when Xander utters something about going to his office.~ Let's continue on, then. I have another meeting after this with the Kuarien people of planet 9.
*I nod simply at that; steering the man towards a plain wooden door near the end of the hallway; obviously just put in since it contrasts greatly with the majority of doors here. Most of them being made of stone or concrete. I open it and usher him inside; the room lit by a few lamps and not much else. The far wall lined with book cases crammed full of leather bound books in a variety of colors. A desk sitting near one end of the book cases with two chairs. I motion him into one of them and sit opposite him at the desk; stacking a few of the scattered pages about my desk so that he could set down his paperwork.* Of course; let's not make it take forever. We both have obligations it seems.
~Almost immediately, Sandro slides into the seat, ignoring the surroundings. Or at least it seems as if he's ignoring the surroundings. Little time passes as he snaps open the combination locks on both sides of the briefcase and when he's finally finished, it opens up to reveal a few set of deeds, keys, a thick stack of papers and a single feathered pen, sharp point glinting in the light.~ Augustus told me the details of the deal, had me write up the contract. Firstly, I'd like to mention that I have years of practice writing these since it's originally what the Giovanni wanted me to do. The first order of business is the conditions and obligations. Xander, Augustus has offered you two planets to do with as you please along with man power and war assistance and you have offered him a way to boost the magic abilities of the Giovanni. Am I correct so far?
*I listen quietly to the man's words; watching him through calculating eyes as I prop my elbows upon the table; the five fingers upon each hand held against each other at the tips as I watch him just over the top of them. Once he finishes speaking I stay quiet a few moments longer; as if listening to another voice; perhaps my own thoughts most likely. When I finally speak it is a simple voice; back in my element, as it is, I am much calmer than the shaken man who had addressed the archon just yesterday.* That is correct.
~Sandro gives a brief nod of his head, dark brown eyes passing between Xander again and the documents within the brief case. He pulls them free of the leather wrap that covered them and places them on the desk~ This is all the information about the planet, clauses, peace treaties, several book worth information sheets on the several species, people and creatures there. Also the resources that the planets have to offer. Since you've also promised to stay out of the Giovanni's personal business, I've added that to the contract and information there as well. You can look it over if you wish. Nothing else is added there and ... Just so we're clear, Augustus decided on something else yesterday. A new condition. Neither of you shall kill the other or send others kill each other. Is that clear? ~Sandro asks, his fingers slipping into the briefcase again to grab for the feathered pen. He holds it out to Xander~ We only accept contracts through blood. Please prick your finger before you sign.
*I nod softly; slowly looking over a few of the pages as I nod at what I see at first glance. When Sandro speaks of a new condition I stiffen; but when he says it I go back to relax once again and simply nod.* That's understandable. I'm surprised neither of us thought of that condition at first. *I flick through a few more pages before bringing my finger up to my mouth and running it across my fang slowly; blood slowly welling from the bite wound.* And that condition is clear as crystal. Where do I sign? So that you may be about your business. *I say as I reach for the feathered pen with the bleeding hand; slowly wrapping my fingers about it.*
Right on the bottom of page one. ~Sandro announces. Already he's began taking the keys from the briefcase, two deeds as well to placed on the desk~ The keys are to the main city of the planets. Everyone knows they have a new leader by now. Keep that in mind.
*I nod softly; slowly setting the quill to the bottom of the page; my blood flowing down to the tip as I write out my signature; the letters flowing and burning onto the page as I write out simply "Alexander Equinox". A soft dab as I dot the i and then gently set the quill atop the page; the letters seeming to shimmer oddly as I gently nod and then look up to Sandro.* Would you like them back or shall I keep them and look the papers over later? *I ask as I reach out to take the keys into my hand; the deeds moving to the top of my own stack of papers.*
Keep them. They're linked to another copy in Italia. If they're marred in any way, Gus will show up himself to find out why. ~And with that, he's gone. Briefcase and other keys, deeds, gone..~
*I nod softly at his departure; all of the lamps about my office suddenly flickering out as I look around slowly; as if searching the walls for any ears that had been listening in; tapping the walls slowly.* Well... This should be fun.
