Multiverse Chat
While our community has many features which are used by our members for storytelling, there has always been a lot of activity centralized around the chat. Unfortunately, many of the features that are required for the chat to remain a feasible utility for us as we grow are not included by the providers of the software that this site is built on.
Because of this we have tried to integrate third party chat applications into the site, to provide features such as multiple rooms, the ability to ignore others, and the ability to record a chat log of events.
We recently employed a new chat service that integrated into the site, and which has been quite popular amongst users. This was labeled "Test Chat" or "New Multiverse"
Unfortunately a recent update by the software providers of "Test Chat" has made it so that this platform is no longer viable for our community. We have worked with the manufacturers of this Chat for several weeks, but have been unable to reach a resolution. Because of this the "Test Chat" feature of the site will be deleted in one week.
To replace it we are reintroducing the old Multiverse Chat, which was used for over a year by the community. This is a Java application, which means that you have to have an updated version of Java on your computer in order to use it. If you find that you are having trouble getting into the Java Multiverse Chat, go to this site http://www.java.com/en/download/ and download updated drivers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause any of you. If anyone has trouble accessing the Java based Multiverse Chat please contact myself or one of the administrators. Thank you.

(Thanks for all the hard work to provide all us players and writers with so many outlets for our creative needs. I think with the ability to create "private" rooms so that several players can get together and play out their storyline without interruption or "clogging" main is sometimes an important part to character development. Please note, I am certain all of us are appreciative for your efforts.)
