Earlier this week you all got a chance to experience the beta version of the Main Chat which is going to be implemented on RolePages.com. Since then several updates have been made to the code, and the programmers at Ning are now ready to bring the new chat out of beta.

As such, the new chat system will be implemented permanently on RolePages.com this Sunday, January 15th, at 12:01 AM. This new chat should run faster, and have fewer bugs than the beta system, however if there are any problems, we will bring them directly to the programmers who will be able to fix them in future updates.

I know that some of you are not pleased with some of the features of the New Chat. You will still be able to access the old chat system for a short time at the following address:

However, eventually the old chat system will be completely discontinued, and the new HTML chat will be the only Main Chat we have in place. Multiverse chat will of course also continue to function.

I am hoping that the updated features of this new Chat System will help the site to grow and become an even better medium for artistic collaboration.
