Where Anyone is Possible
I'm looking for a group who would be interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons and also a (pref. experienced) DM.
There is a cool website called rolz.orgwhere players can create a username (no registration required to play) and chat rooms that allow them to successfully roleplay using character sheets and dice. The dice are rolled right in the room electronically.
I know most of us have a hard time either finding groups to join in a D&D game or schedules conflict or some of us have kids and we can't meet up for games.
If you're interested in playing, please send a message to my inbox so that I'm sure to get it. Feel free to also comment on this post but again, if you want to play the best way is to message me.
Hopefully we can get a party and a campaign going!
Once we do get enough players, we will have to decide on what version to play. I personally like 3.5 and it's the only version I've ever played. Actually, if you do e-mail me with an interest in playing, state which version of D&D you're interested in playing as well.

I'd be up for DMing a 5e game, if that's up in the air. I can also play other versions, but that's where I have the most experience. The only question I have is about the site.
Does it include maps? Like, I can make maps, but does it have a virtual board to play on?
That's awesome that you're up for being a DM. I thought finding a DM was going to be the hardest part.
Good question about the maps...
I haven't actually gotten to use it yet but it looks promising. I'll try to do some research.
As far as 5e, I've never played so I have no idea what it's like. I've only done 3.5 and I have physical books for that version and I believe version 4 but it could possibly be 5.
I'm willing to learn 5e as we go along but I don't know if that's gonna slow the group down or not?
Yeah, the handbooks I've got are 3.5 and 4e
5e is probably the easiest book to learn, and I can provide PDF versions of some basic books to anyone who joins the RP.
The site does not offer maps. I'll get a service to compensate.
Now, for this type of playing online in a chatroom which format do you think would work best?
I'm looking at a comparison video for 3.5 and 5 and it seems like a lot of the customization to your character is taken away in 5 like not getting to really make your skills any better?
From what I'm seeing I think I'd prefer 3.5 if you know how to DM a 3.5 game but if not then I'll still try 5.
Know anyone that would be interested in joining our group? Doesn't have to be a rolepages player.
Yeah, I plan on tweaking the 5e formula a whole lot. To begin with, no skill caps. I'm not gonna make you need books to pass 20, screw that.
Second, you can use any race or class shown on the dandwiki site that isn't obviously overpowered or designed for a tv-show/game.
And I'm also going to be a bit different on starting stats.
You know what, hell. I'll even free up monster races on a case by case basis.
As for the chatroom, I already got that covered. Just arrange the players.
Still looking for players. C'mon people the hard part is already done as we have a DM. Just need some players!
Don't worry about it- I'll cover everything with you. Does that mean you'd like to join? I'd like to have 3-4 players, and you'd bring it to 2.
I'm interested.... But, I have never played D&D before @_@
Awesome, group is starting to form. We just need 1 or 2 more people.
Draco what site were you thinking of using? Roll20?
I use the program Fantasy Grounds to keep character sheets and, yeah, roll20 for maps and gameplay.
