A Serpent’s Truth

-There is an eerie chill set upon Paracosm. Of course the island is usually a little cold given its location. But this is the type of chill that tickles the spine and makes one feel like they’re being watched, or something scary is waiting just around the corner to jump out at them. The island is reacting to the Queen’s emotions. And she is very very nervous. Currently the dreamwalker paces the empty tower lab that Helve used to frequent, scratching at her armor leathers and muttering under her breath… no, calm down.. Trying to take a deep breath, she sits and holds her head in her hands.- “Calm down, girl.. whatever happens when you find that serpent, you’ll be fine…. Tcch. If Helve was here, he’d crack some jokes to lighten the mood… He was good at making me feel better.”

-For one lovely moment, there is that familiar joy and hope, along with a bittersweet pain in her incomplete heart, reassuring Magicia that her work is nearly done… and then it is stolen from her. The island shifts from a huge wave. Everywhere she can hear her maids give off lots of fweeps as they go on instant alert. Frowning, she quickly leaps out of the tower and uses her dream wings to safely land below, demanding a status report from a nearby guard. But she’s afraid she already knows the answer.-

“… Well aren’t I lucky. I need the last ingredient, and its bearer starts to make an appearance. Fate is being kind to me for once. KNIGHTS, BERSERKERS. Prepare for battle. We do not know where this thing is going to pop up or when, but we will be ready! Maids, prepare yourselves! Blindfolds for every Fwuf! All of you, this is an order: Do NOT look the beast in the eyes!”

The black fabric of the scarf she wore fluttered as she ran to retrieve her saddlebag with her bow and quivers. Settling it onto the mare she rode, she tied the saddle bags in place, stepping up on to the horse, she gripped the mane and the horse made way across the land, leaving a dusting cloud in their wake. Her black leather coat fluttered behind her as she urged the mare onward, passing through the cropping of trees to a shore where the land stops and the great ocean seas began. The horse pulled up short, and she watched as the waves crashed high into the rocks, smashing and causing the earth the come away and fall into the dark waters. Blue eyes glowing, Sarnai moved in the saddle, searching for where she could go to find out what could be going on. “…That quake shook the world.. People must know what this is!” Her fingers dug into the mane, the horse speeding across the edging of the cliffs, far enough away so that she didn’t have chance to look over the edge.

-A maid rushes to her side to help her get equipped with her daggers, hammer, and her double ended chain sickle, though they have to rush to keep up with her as she’s quickly storming her way down to the northern shore to watch the water. She meets up with the two brothers and rushes to them.- “Is.. is that what I think it is?”

“… Do not apologize. I intended to face him sooner or later. At least now I don’t have to track him down.” -Her shoulders tremble despite her best attempts to keep on a brave face. Gripping the hilt of one of her daggers, she grits her teeth and stares out at the water.- “.. I know. No eyes.”

*Daimon could feel the shift of balance, in one quick, powerful thruat of his wings, he launches towards the worlds serpent, when he gets there, he sees chaos and death that make him shiver in horror.*

-Her citizens are ordered to evacuate to the underground realms of the island, where maids and a few knights are stationed to protect them The wildlife sanctuary is also evacuated, despite the flatulent roars of protest from Barnanbus Analheimer Buttmunch.. The entire island is in a flurry as it prepares for the arrival of the beast and whatever it may bring.-

*Daimon strikes the serpent with a pod of orcas, their teeth trying to chew through it’s skin.*

“Wh.. what?” -She’s taken aback as she whirls around to face the brothers, her daggers drawn as dark tendrils spring from her back, ready to defend.- “And here I was hopeful enough to think you might actually HELP me.. STAND ASIDE.”

And so, answering the mighty call of fate or plot convenience once again, did the mighty champion Gwen Poole come to the aid of Paracosm on a day unlike any other! The Vorpal blade sliced through reality and into Paracosm did she come on her mighty steed, a pink skateboard. Looking around, she tried to assess what was happening. “…So… what’s going on here? There seemed to be stuff happening, and I checked out all the other major spots, and this is the only one jumpin’.”

-A Fwuf maid is there to fill Gwen in.- “Mistwess is gonna fight a big planet eating snake and we are all blindfolded because we aren’t supposed to look into its eyes because it has the evil eeeeeye and we’re all gonna die yay!” -It bumps into a lamp post.-

A portal open up and Abel fell through landing on his feet, he looks up as he sees what is going on and ask, “….what the hell is going on here?” He stands up as he pats the dirt off of his jacket as he heard one of the Fwufs saying ‘not to look in the eyes’. Abel pulls a scarf out and cover his eyes and said, “Well this is going to be interesting.”

“PLANET eating snake? That is… super hardcore.” Gwen got a chill. “And where is it? Is it in the water? Do you guys have any more blindfolds? What about scuba gear?” Was Gwen seriously thinking about going for a swim to fight a giant snake? Yes. Why not? She was a champion.

“Shit!” -She leaps back barely in the knick of time, strands of her dark hair sliced away. Dark tendrils lash out to grab at Askeladden, while she mutters something under her breath. Suddenly, half a dozen other Magicia’s take form from the light blue sands, all bearing the same weapons as the original, ready to fight.- “I don’t want to have to hurt you!”

Sarnai reached what would appear to be a group of people, she quickly drew her bow, and an arrow with it, knocking it. She drew the string back, the pad of her thumb gently resting against the joint where her jaw connects near her ear, “What is this?!” Her voice was stern, but light upon the wind that was drowned out with the sounds of the crashing oceans and howling winds. Her scarf remained up over the bridge of her nose, never before had she encountered the likes of this creature. But fear was a thing she did not learn to have, an emotion stripped of her kin.

“Damnit… forgive me for this, then.” -A flash of sorrow is seen in her eyes, but she can’t back down, not before the serpent even emerges! A wave of a few dozen dark knights is sent in to go after one brother while Magicia faces off with the other, her clones going after him all at once. Two with daggers, two with a giant mallet, and two with the chain scythe. The tentacles meanwhile increase in number all around Magicia as they keep trying to grab her opponent out of the air.-

Abel starts walking with the blindfold on, he can hear all the fighting going on. He sighs and said, “Why is it that it is always something that requires me to be blindfolded?”

Putting on her blindfold, Gwen pressed her hands together and took a few breaths in and out. “I must evolve… most past the need to use my eyes for sight. I must become one with the world around me…” She did something she saw in a movie once, stretching her arms out and using her hands to make a circle, before she struck a ninja-like stance! “I must use my ears, my nose, my skin, even my tongue…” She wiggled her ears, sniffed, and then stuck her tongue out. And then she very carefully tried to just… move towards the water. Arms out, and using the Vorpal blade as a stick to feel around in front of her. Eventually, she just raised the blindfold and ran forward. She didn’t see any planet eating snakes yet, though, but she did see Magicia fighting two dudes at once. It was pretty badass.

Sarnai moved quickly, the mare prancing as she moved to where the man fell onto the ground. She reached her hand out, “I don’t know! It’s… indescribable! Come on, grab my hand!” She was bent over the edge of the saddle, half way to the ground, balancing.

-She feels as if the brothers don’t want to fight her either, but that certainly isn’t stopping them, just as her reluctance won’t stop her. So she calls upon another resource of the island to try to get more of an edge. The Dancers of Paracosm swarm the beach, each one feeding upon the positive energies and emotions of those who dare to get in the way. Magicia, meanwhile, is trying to figure out how to land a blow when each strike seems to be easily anticipated.-

“…Oh.” Well, if Gwen was looking for a giant snake, that seemed to be it. She yanked down her blindfold in a mix of fear and trying to get ready. With all this noise, SURELY she could see without eyes! Instead, once everything was dark… it was just really loud. And pretty fuckin’ scary. “Shitshitshitshit…” She smacked herself. “FOCUS GWEN!” Either stupidly or bravely, she decided to start walking towards the water. With itty, bitty, teeny tiny steps.

Abel sniffs the air and said, “This smell doesn’t smell right.” As he starts to breathe calmly letting himself take in all of the different smells and noise, then he looks at the direction where all the fighting is happening and said, “Over there.” Then he starts running.

Sarnai growled and straightened. Looking around, she saw they were mostly blindfolded. Why? She whistled and rode towards the fight, to the edge of the shore of the cliffs. Drawing the bowstring back, she adjusted her angle. With a deep breath, she let loose the arrow; the feathered fletchings of pure white sliced the air as well as her cheek through the scarf she wore. She aimed straight for the thing scattering the knights upon the shores below, watching its movements so that the arrow would strike where she anticipated where the thing would step.

“Ugh, I don’t have TIME FOR THIS!” -She leaps back again, creating some distance between herself and Askeladden with a wall of thrashing tentacles and plenty of dancers as she lowers her daggers to form a handsign. It will take a moment to prepare this spell. If she can’t hit him physically, then she will go for his mind…-

Abel smell the fire coming at him, he jumps to the left dodging the fireballs at him. He smirks and said, “I maybe blind right now but I can smell that a mile away.” He start to crack his neck and said, “Well what are you waiting for? Come down here like a man and fight!”

“.. Time for a walk.” -Suddenly her eyes glaze over and a flash of purple smoke quickly exits her head. Her body is left vulnerable, but a wave of maids immediately swarms in to protect her while she uses her powers to go after Askel’s mind, intending to infiltrate.-

Abel pulls a whip out and wraps around a pole, he starts running and and swings to the other side with ease. He put the whip away and start running after Solringen.

Thankfully, she had the time to move from her spot when he snatched the arrow. Watching that a solid hit was landed, she smiled, seeing that she could be a distraction. She watched the arrow fly past her, with such an incredible speed, one she was thankful that didn’t hit her or her mare. Sarnai leaned up, knocking another arrow and running the edge of the cliff upon the mare’s back, standing in the stirrups, she let the arrow loose down to him, into the place where his wounds were bare. Very few misjudged the strength of her peoples horsemans bows, the recurve allowed for a stronger stride upon anything from such a distance. And with the help of gravity itself, the arrow nearly always felt it’s mark. For her twenty three of her twenty seven years, she had gained master marksmanship with the bow her kin make.

Well, that was kinda new! The giant snake seemed to be trying to talk to her? Or everyone. It didn’t feel right. “Uh… Hi?” She waved at the water blindly. “Mister Planet Eater Snake, Sir. What’s up?” Kinda timid, Gwen. Clearing her throat, she spoke louder. “You’re kinda freaking people out! Are you here to eat everything, or are you just, like, stretching your… body.” Legs were probably a sensitive subject for snakes.

-Within the realm of Askel’s mind, the image of a small white haired girl appears. Wide purple eyes stare, the gaze a pitiful ensnaring one. Normally this is the point where she’d feed, but instead she just wills him to fall asleep.-

-As soon as Askel is down, she is gone, returning to her body and quickly reviving. Shoving a few maids out of the way, she shouts out towards the water, her voice strong and loud even over the noisy waves.- “You’re the worm for thinking he is worthless! He is a deity of Hellifyno, a hero of Paracosm, and your son! Face me and acknowledge him!”

Abel made it to the battlefield and said, “About damn time.” He can smell the blood and his thirst for blood as his fangs start to tract, he covers his mouth as he is trying to control his hunger.

-Despite all of her efforts and training to control her fear, it is only natural for her to feel her stomach sink and her shoulders to tremble as the serpent emerges. Still, she fights that fear, clenching a fist while the other hand points accusingly at him. Do not back down, do not look him in the eyes, do not stop until you get the Truth.- “If you will not speak the Truth, then I will force it from you!” -The island trembles. Was it from the serpent’s screams? Or from something else?-

Welp. This sounded like a family matter. And Gwen was now literally shaking in her boots, knees practically knocking together. This was so much worse with no eyes! And she wanted to actually SEE a giant snake! But she wasn’t about to take off that blindfold, nope. “H-hey, dude, l-l-like, I dunno what’s got your, uhmm…. snake undies in a twist about your son or something, but…” You know what? Nevermind. She was gonna let Magicia do the talking. She always seemed to know what she was doing. Gwen was gonna be there as… back-up. Yeah, back-up!

Sarnai felt the hair on the back of her neck rise on end, a feeling of something she had never felt. What was that? It wasn’t excitement, and it wasn’t joy. Could this be what humans outside her clan call fear? Her eyes narrow, she watched her opponent, whatever was in the ocean was not her problem yet. But the look on the man that she had struck with her arrow, it confused her. But the feelings of fear that were echoing from the beast in the waters was neck to neck in her mental anguish. Feeling old and familiar feelings rise, she smiled, pulling her scarf down to show it. She knew what he was feeling in a way. Gripping the horse’s mane, she charged down the slope of the cliff, where the grass was green, but quickly filled with snow as she rode down, arrow knocked and ready as she charged at her main opponent. As she neared, she stood on the saddle, balancing easily with years of training, and let loose another arrow. “Though death is not sometimes so easily given, a life after such I can deliver…” As she let the arrow loose, the rain from the serpent threw her from the horse, burning her face that was bare. She growled, rolling to the ground, onto her stomach, the leather of her coat protecting her skin.

Abel jumps into the battlefield on his feet, as he is raising his head and grabs the hilt of his blade called the Crissagrim and charges into battle attacking Magicia’s enemies.

-Both of the brothers who were in her way are out for the count. Now it’s just the serpent. The planet eater. The island quakes again.-

Abel felt the quakes and he yell, “What the hell?!” He struck his sword into the ground as he is trying to keep his momentum and yell, “What the hell was that?!”

Sarnai covered her face with her scarf and went to the warrior that was taken down. Looking through between the soldiers, she frowned, feeling some sort of sorrow for him. But then the waves crashing reminded her of the next enemy at hand, “….This battle isn’t finished yet.”

-Another tremble of the island in response to the beast rising up. Magicia clenches her teeth and grips her shoulders. Damn it… the island usually reacts to her emotions, but never has it been this responsive to her. Her feelings now are so strong that she’s causing Paracosm to shake. Still avoiding gazing into the beast’s eyes, she casts a quick glance around her at all who have come, drawn in by the serpent’s arrival. Most are blindfolded. Both a blessing and a curse. She shouts out to everyone.- “The eyes are more vulnerable than his hide, but do NOT look him in the eyes!”

Abel heard Magicia and as he looks up, still blindfolded, he can feel the evil presence and said, “That…is a big monster, isn’t it?”

Sheathing the Vorpal blade for a moment, Gwen whipped out two guns. Would they work? Probably not. But, if this was a giant snake, and she couldn’t look him in the eyes, she was wondering if she could just… spray and pray and hope to hit him in the eyes. So she walked a bit closer to the water, pointed her guns as high as she thought she could without pointing them straight up, squeezed the triggers on both pistols a few times. “IS THIS WORKING?!”

Abel is clinching his fists and said, “He’s going to sink the island, isn’t he?”

Sarnai leaned up, letting out a whistle, the horse charging to her. Reaching up, she grabbed onto the stirrup of the saddle, rising up onto the saddle. She ripped a strip of red fabric from her belt, tying it around her eyes. Reaching, she gripped an arrow, knocking it, aiming blindly to the creature. But the sounds of the ocean pulling away from the land caused her to stop and whisper down into the horses ear a gentle command of a pace, keeping her aware of when the beast reared up.

“Nggh!” -She quickly clenches her eyes shut to avoid his gaze. She hadn’t taken a blindfold like most, knowing she must face this beast with her senses not being dulled. Then the words of the brother make her snap into action.- “… Or crush it. Damn it. Knights, get those barrier cannons firing! Fwufs, attack that thing and hold it off as long as you can!” -Her head is rushing as she’s trying to think of a plan to fight back. The island keeps wavering, and a few spikes start to sprout out of the sand at her feet… she gets an idea. A bad one.- “.. The island…”

Abel walks down to Magicia as he gives her a new blindfold and said, “Here.”

-She rejects the blindfold with a stern expression and a shake of the head.- “No.. I’m facing this thing with my senses in tact.. I’ve always been good at avoiding eye contact. I’m a social retard.” -A bit of a smirk offered as reassurance before she returns to scheming.- “.. I think I can utilize the island itself as a weapon to get a good blow on this thing, but I need time.”

Abel nods as he puts the blindfold away and said, “You’re the boss.”

“Mistress… If I may.” The Head Maid finally appears among their maidlings, kneeling besides their mistress. “If it is time you need, I can happily provide. After all, you’ve given me a lifetime. It’s only fair I pay it back.”

A dim outline on the crest of the water through the fabric allowed to see where the creature was, but no definite detail. She didn’t look into it’s eye, but she looked to the bend where it’s body met its head. She had the arrow ready on her bow, “…One good strike, I can make it to it’s eye.”

“Frick.” Well, a no to the bullets, then! What else?! Could she get close to a giant snake with a blindfold on? But, hearing Magicia… Gwen steeled herself and tore the blindfold off. “I’ll do it the same way! Fuck being blind.” And then she SAW the giant snake. It… it was bigger than she’d imagined. “Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhokay.” Shaky hands grabbed the Vorpal blade, and Gwen swallowed nervously. “I can, like… maybe buy some time.” But it seemed like she’d need to get in the water… Or on the snake.

-The cannons start blasting at the creature, bombarding his thick scales to try to slow him down. Meanwhile, Magicia turns to her Head Maid who’s arrived at her side and stares solemnly.- “… Do what you must. If that thing smashes the island everyone here is in big trouble. Buy us the time we need… Everyone else, remember what I said. The eyes are vulnerable. Keep aiming for that. Do whatever you can.. I’m sorry, I’m not a strategist. I’m a bad leader… but you are all here now, and if that beast stays loose Paracosm won’t be the only place in danger.”

Abel starts to ponder and he said, “I got an idea.” As he is starting to run he said, “Keep him occupied and I can handle it.”

“Gwen… I have a plan. Your blade…” The Head Maid gestured to it, even though their head was still hung in a bow. “It can cut concepts right? Like distance? Distance between me and his cursed eyes?” The Head Maid grinned, a horrid smile enough to rival the world serpent. “All I ask is you get me close enough to Jorungandr’s eyes, so he last sight he sees is the face that killed his son.”

“Alright. I’m counting on all of you.” -She nods to the group and disappears in a cloud of purple smoke, which starts to quickly drift off towards the Dark Tower.-

Sarnai pulled the blindfold down, her vision clear as she drew back the arrow. Letting it loose, she gave it a sharp angle, and listened as the feathers sliced and whistled through the air, aimed right for the great serpents eye.

Abel starts to run to the cliff and he jumps off as he is falling to the giant monster he pulls two silver daggers out and lands on him trying to pierce the skin, but the blades were not strong enough and just break. He grabs onto Jormungandr and yell, “HOLY SHIT!”

Looking at the Maid, Gwen nodded. “Yeah. YEAH! Okay! Let’s go!” She had to hype herself up, so she jogged in place for a moment, hyperventilated, and then let out a kinda pathetic growl. “GRR! LETS DO IT TO IT!” Giving the Vorpal blade a bit of an unnecessary flourish (she’d been practicing those), Gwen slashed the air, aiming for where she thought Jormungandr’s ‘eyebrows’ would be. “HAAAAAAAAA!” And then, with the Head Maid, she ran through the portal that formed! She WAS feeling legendary!

Abel is trying his best to hold onto Jormungandr even he is getting hit by the crystal shards, he start climbing up a little bit as he is trying his best to climb up to the head and pierce his eyes.

-She reappears on the roof of the Dark Tower, staring out in horror as she sees the serpent now on land. Thank the gods she decided to evacuate the island beforehand… Now she has to focus. She takes a strong stance and starts to form several hand signs, clutching her eyes shut tight. It is time for a spontaneous spell creation. One she has no idea will even work or if it will be effective against this creature should she pull it off.-

Her hand quick, she began knocking and letting loose arrow after arrow, a volley of sharp arrows piercing the air straight for the serpents head, mainly it’s eye. Her fist quiver, by the time she was done with her volley, was a quarter empty, firing about twenty arrows from it. As she reached for another, she saw the blood that was coating her fingers. When the serpent came up upon the land, the horse pranced, “Ay-ha!!” The horse moved, dashing towards the beast, her final arrow knocked before death could very well meet her head first. She held herself steady, moving with the horse, her arrow steady upon the serpents eye. As she neared it, she let the arrow fly from her bloody fingers, the feather slicing her cheek again.

The Head Maid followed through the portal, but they did not go gently. Not for what they had planned. They bounded through with enough force that by the time they’d crossed the threshold, their OWN eyes would have ruptured if they hadn’t been so tightly blindfolded, and bits of flesh had peeled off from the friction. “Now then, World Eater, see the world through your son’s eyes… As I carve yoours out!” The Maid hurled out of the portal towards Jormungandr’s left eye,hurtling at their own terminal velocity. They raised a claw as they maid “ground”, leapt from the serpents brow… and struck. With the fury of an entire generation of dead maids in their arm, Fwuf lashed out with a hellish primal scream and gave the World Serpent the same greeting they’d given Helve so long ago… A strike with their claws so vicious, that the acceleration broke the sound barrier. Their Mach 10 strike was backed with enough fury, that the friction melted the air in their strike into plasma. It had been far too long since they’d been able to lay claw into this wretched vermin’s bloodline. They were going to make the most out of their moment.

Gwen did a bit of a belly flop onto the serpent, stabbing downwards with her sword. She landed just past the ‘brow’ of the giant snake, hoping that the action of sinking the Vorpal blade into his face and holding on for dear life would be enough to both cause him pain and keep her safely pinned as it moved around. “AAAAAAAAAAAH!” It was… like a really awful rollercoaster. She felt like she had to pee. Or hurl. Instead, she just screamed, and hoped she didn’t die. She held onto the hilt of that sword like it she was the last Twinkie in Zombieland.

Abel was sent flying and he yell, “SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!” Then as he fell he lands in Jormungandr’s injured eye, but actually went inside of his head through the eye socket.

Sarani was thrown from her mare by the passing of the serpent. Flying through the air, she collided with the ground, her head cracking against the ground, her sight instantly going bright, then black. She tumbled across the ground unconscious.

-She focuses on her task, pushing her panic about the serpent’s progress into the back of her mind, which makes the island lurch violently in reaction. Focus. Focus. Focus on every emotion you have. Everything Helve made you feel. The joy, the calm, the sorrow, the anxiety, the awkwardness, the fear, the hope, the love… Harness this power. The island is the reflection of the dreamwalker.-

The Maid is stuck to the mighty serpent’s head, their broken ribs helping to anchor them in place like staples. Desperately clingling with claws, fragmented bones, and teeth. The skin on their striking hand was severely burned from the friction, but after living with Magicia for so long, pain was but a memory to the maids.

Abel’s skin is burning as he is inside, then with the intense burning his eyes turns black as his iris is blood red. He grabs the Crissagrim and stabs the other eye making him completely blind. Abel is free from the corrosive acid and he yells loud as his hair turns silver and his skin pale, he swings his sword and stabs his wounded eye making him squirm in pain.

-Every memory of Helve floods Magicia’s mind, threatening to overwhelm her with the amount of emotion. This is the energy she will redirect. That she will force into the great serpent. Beneath her, the roof of the Dark Tower shifts and reshapes itself, growing into a spire with a sharp spiked tip. She has to cling on to the side to stay on while she continues to focus her energy. Nearly there. Just keep stalling him, everyone…-

It wasn’t uncommon in times of giant monster attacks to hear the sound of women and children screaming. Well, in Gwen, you had a bit of a combo, seeing as how she was just barely a legal adult and a woman. The high pitched screaming and squealing of absolute mortal terror she was letting lose was probably music to someone’s ears. But! She was no one-trick pony! For she had not one, not three, but TWO swords! Her hand dove into her shark backpack, where her first and arguably mightiest blade slumbered. SHINOBU… the Chinchilla of Champions. From the zipper maw of the great white shark-shaped bag emerged a revving chainsword, which joined the Vorpal blade in Gwen’s slicing journey down the length of Jormungandr, tracing the same path as the sharper blade until Gwen pulled the Vorpal blade free, and hoped the more sturdy chainsword would take its place in holding her to the serpent’s scaly body.

As Abel is still striking the bloody eye socket and he yell, “I’M GOING TO RIP YOUR HEAD OFF YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!!”

The Head Maid lets out a shriek for more attacks. The Maidlings swarm the serpent’s body, trying ot get into the wound Gwen cut to eat the World Serpent from inside. Meanwhile, Robo-Maids have been called from headquarters to elicit so hot death from above! Superheated rays of ionized neon bombard any opening left by the other heroes with almost surgical precision!

-As the beast rears its head back, Magicia suddenly leaps from the top of the tower, sprouting wings from her back to keep airborne, and surges all of that built up energy at once. The tower suddenly is propelled forward, given a shove by the island shifting rapidly to send it up, and it lurches right at his good eye with great speed!-

The rumble of the ground brought Sarnai back to consciousness. She leaned up, shaking her head. The body of the serpent stretched, and absolutely huge. Pulling her seax, and shortsword, both made of the finest damaskus her land made, and charged, slowly staggering at first, but, the sharp biting edge cutting into the body once she reached it. Her momentum used pulled her up, her feet planting against the body as she used her weapons to climb up onto the top of the body.

Abel is climbing over to his other eye and start to bash it as they are underwater, then he expose his claws and slashes his good eye soon to be another bad eye.

“Gotcha!” -She pumps a fist and sneers as the tower makes its impact. Not the eye like she intended, but still a very good hit! … And then its underwater. Which means everyone else is underwater… shit, she hopes they are good at holding their breath. Magicia quickly flies towards the sea. She has a headache that feels like her skull is being stabbed. And she would know. She’s been stabbed in the head before. That rush of using so much mental energy at once was not kind to her.-

As soon as she felt herself in a kind of free-fall, ‘the rollercoaster is going down’ motion, Gwen took a deep breath. Not because she was fully aware of the fact she was going to hit water, but because HOLY FUCK SHE FELT SHE WAS GONNA DIE. And then… everything was wet, and she pulled her chainsword free and tried to find out which way was up so she could get back to sweet, sweet, firm, not moving around like a crazy snake, solid ground. But she was also panicking like a mofo because of course she was!!!

Abel rips the other eye with his claws and exit out of Jormungandr’s head, he grabs his head as they are underwater and can still feel the burning sensation from the acid.

“Gaaah!” -She clutches her head, her descent slowing to a halt as she flaps overhead. The serpent’s voice within her mind just makes the headache worse. Still, she can’t relent. She WON’T relent.- “Face me.. and acknowledge your son… “

Anthem came fast, almost flying across the water with as fast as she was going. She stood at the bow of a simple rowboat, her arms moving in windmill motions as she propelled herself forward with waterbending. Truth be told, she didn’t even know exactly what was going on, but she was in the Spirit World and was granted with this specific vision. So here she was, towards the sound of battle.

Considering the size difference and equivalency, the maids would not only win out against the puny mantis shrimp, but bring the water and blood within the serpent to a boil with all the ruckus. The Head Maid meanwhile continues burrowing through Jorm’s fat head, trying to get to the other eye… Damn skull is in the way though, so they have to make a detour through the sinus. Ew.

-She ends up having to land on the cliffside to keep herself from simply plunging into the depths. Tears stream down her cheeks as she holds her head tight.- “No.. you.. you will speak the Truth… Each blow you feel from me, from any of us, that is a blow from him. Abel starts to dig into the eye socket with his claws as he is trying to dig into his brain, but the acid keeps hitting his skin, but he bares the pain as he continues.

The Maids make a mental note to have a meeting with the Shrimp King at some point to discuss the terms of a truce. But for now, the battle continues. The Head Maid’s sinus journey brings then to…ohey is that a tongue? They summon some maidlings to try and tie it into a knot so he speaks with a list before continuing serious attack time

Doing her best to swim towards the surface, Gwen felt herself on the absolute edge. This was… insanely hard. Insanely very hard. She HAD to get up! She had to breathe! HAD to! Almost there! She wasn’t even close… But she had the Vorpal blade in one hand, and with a swing… She cut a path for herself right to the surface of the water– or more accurately, a dozen feet ABOVE the surface of the water, with water and herself pouring right back down into the ocean, But! During that short bit of free-fall, she gasped for air, sucked it in, and hit the water again. Lame, but effective. Her head bobbed back up to the surface after a moment, and she breathed in again, deep, drinking in the air.
