Misaki
There was sunlight, but the afternoon was cold. Not that it bothered the black-haired Kitsune. She hovered in the air, some few dozen feet above a small village. A smile stretched across her lips, painted red today. She was in a black tank top, black pants, and combat boots. Nine snow white tails flicked as she watched the mortals scurry about. A giggle escaped her as she lifted her hands in the air. And in those hands, balls of lightning formed. She let out a cackle and tossed the lightning towards the village, watching as buildings exploded, trees caught on fire, and people screaming as they ran about in fear. Misaki inhaled deeply, feeling the emotions pouring forth from the people. She flew towards the village, this time letting little beams of ice flow forth from her palms, freezing most in their tracks. Screams. Yes. She twirled in the air, flicking her tails about as she started to pull the positive emotions towards herself. Let them fear. Let them cower before her. And as she flew about, freezing mortals in their steps, she sang to herself. “I can’t quite contain, or explain my evil ways. Or explain why I’m not sane. All I can say is this is your warning.” She giggled again, repeating those lines. And then: “I have a confession that you will not believe. I’m insane! I’m your end.” She flew over to another person, this one a fairly handsome man, and she placed a hand on his cheek. “It’s a shame. You’re so cute too.” And she kept that hand there as she closed her golden eyes and pulled every last emotion from him. Soon, a dried up husk of a man fell to the ground and she let out a cackle. “So much emotion,” she purred. “That was almost satisfying.”

Misaki
Afterwards, she moved on to the next person. This one an elderly woman with a bit of a squint to her tired, brown eyes. Misaki placed a hand on her face as well, grinning that devilish grin of hers. “It’s all right,” she said softly. “It’ll all be over soon. How many of your loved ones have died already? Don’t you want to see them?” Fear registered in the woman’s eyes as she could feel the emotions, the energies, being pulled from her. The snow white tails flicked as she let out a sound almost like a purr. Oh, that one had so much sorrow. So much lonliness. She giggled again, moving through the village. Husk after husk of the people she drained dropped to the ground behind her. As she moved, lightning was tossed casually at buildings. Fire, ice, water, wood. All of the elements would flick forth from her tails and she hummed as she floated through the rough streets of the village.

Misaki
What next? What should she destroy next? She tapped her chin, floating up to a roof and perching there. She crossed her legs, tails flicking behind her. When she spotted someone who thought they could escape her, a quick blast of frost took care of that. “Will you /stop/ running?” She let out a huff and down to her little groups of poor, captured souls. “How is a girl supposed to think if you’re scurrying away like little mice?” She sighed and circled them a bit. “Maybe I’ll save you. Yes. Leave the four of you alive and call someone else here. Perhaps he’d enjoy feeding on you too!” She grinned, trailing a tail beneath each of their faces. Some of the people twitched, otehrs let out cries of pain. She had lightning sparking through two of the tails. The other two had flames. “I wonder which of you I should feed upon first. I can /feel/ all that fear. That sorrow. The despair.” She giggled again, her golden eyes glowing slightly as she pulled more and more emotion into her. “I’ll give you to the count of…. ten. Then you have to tell me which of you should die first. Ready? One…. Two…” She counted, and the people began to argue amongst themselves, one pleading with her not to kill them. “Eight…. Nine….. Ten. Well? I think /this/ one should die. Look at her. She thought she could beg for her life!” And she started to pull the emotions out. Grinning and closing her golden eyes.

Edam, The Unstable
The sudden lost of many lives normally goes unnoticed by many on this cruel world where only the strong survive and the weak are used as either food or entertainment for some bored individual. Yes, something like this wouldn’t warrant a second glance by anyone who morals have dwindled as they’ve spent prolonged time on Hellifyno. Though, the sudden appearance of this individual has nothing to do with morals or sense of duty. He’s not even here to feed or find entertainment. “What is this?” His soft spoken, but strong, brassy voice mutters as a random gust of cold wind blows around his person up on the hill he spectates from. His first movement forward is followed by the skies greying, his second step calls down the snow above the village falling gently covering the corpses of those she’s drained, the second step douses the flames of the burning village as the frozen water covers more and more of the area, and finally, his fourth step, and he feels her presence. Before a person could even blink, he’s gone from that hill, his body eaten by the darkness of the world as he shadow travels to her location stepping from one of the shadows her tail creates. The fifth step calls down the frozen winds through the city announcing his arrival with howling fury. “Misaki.” He speaks softly through the howls; his voice projected as if the winds voice and his are one. Though, with sniff of his nose, the wind dies, and he looks upon the people she currently prays on with his hands in his pockets. He wears his usual get up: white collared shirt, black pants, and shoeless as always. His snow white hair is highlighted by the falling snow that burns once falling too close to her burning tails. “Feeding?” He then questions; his facial expression mute as he looks upon the people who cower with dark red remorseless eyes. “I thought you were done with feasting on the innocent.” There’s no indication of anger in his monotone voice as he moves his eyes onto her. An explanation would be nice of why she has a sudden need to devour a village and destroy lives for her highs.

Misaki
Ears twitched as she dropped the one she had just fed on. She lowered herself to the ground, fully, turning with a grin. Oh, that voice almost made her as high as the emotions now streaming through her. She grinned at him, her face flushed and eyes glowing. She moved closer to him, those tails seeming… softer somehow. More lustrous? She lifted herself up off the ground enough to face him. No, her prey wouldn’t be going anywhere soon. His cold was even more than hers. And she’d already frozen them in place. “Perhaps,” she said. “But look at them! Weak, cowardly. How can they be innocent? Creatures like them don’t /deserve/ to live.” She hovered back to one, her eyes peering into the woman as one of her tails took on a purple aura. She placed the tip of that tail to the woman’s temple. “Go on,” Misa whispered to the woman. “Tell him the truth. Tell him what this village serves as a cover for!” The woman whimpered, looking from Misaki to Edam, as if she were pleading with him to save them. “P-please, Miss,” the woman said. “I don’t know nothin! I swear it!” Misaki rolled her eyes. “You were /so/ willing just a moment ago to sell out your so-called friends. What, you thought I’d let you go after I killed them? After I feasted upon them?” She turned back to Edam. “Do you see? They’re no better than anyone else. Selling out each other for but a mere moment of survival!” She seemed angry now. But whether it was at herself or at the people of the village, it was unclear. “I need them. Need this energy. I need to be more powerful.” She turned to the woman she had been addressing, her tail wrapping around the woman’s throat as she pulled the energy free with a satisfied sigh. The dried-up corpse falling to the ground. She glanced at Edam. “Come, now, darling. You can’t tell me that you don’t want to cause a little chaos yourself.” She hovered over to him again. Her tails took on a pale blue aura, frost swirling around them. “Join me, love. Let’s watch them squirm. Hear them scream. Feed on their energy. Their life force.” She grinned as she waited for his answer.

This display of her more carnal desire to feed on others doesn’t seem to affect his mood or expression much. He doesn’t return her grins. Though, he listens and watches her not judging her; not stopping her; not truly caring for the people who’s lives have been lost. “Weak? Cowardly? Then, what’s the point?” He begins pulling his hands from his pockets taking a deep breath before sighing; his frosted breath visible as it leaves his body. “Is the energy wasted worth such a small meal?” He questions more not caring for the woman’s pleas for him to save her, for her life was forfeit from the moment Misaki grew reckless and hungry. However, a brow rises as he wonders what exactly this coverup is. “They are no better than anyone else; not even us, for are you the one for direct conflict, Misa?” He switches to a more casual way of speaking as his voice hisses his vowels slightly like a serpent. “If one stronger than us appeared, would you not hastily send others out for your own self-preservation?” He doesn’t like to think he’d be one she would throw away if it meant getting a job done or getting what she wishes. “Are we all not beings striving for it?” He raises his arms spreading them about signifying his meaning, but of course, it is lost in a village full of death; the snow building ever so slightly the longer the time passes. The corpse soon becomes buried under his grand display of a burial. “Chaos will come in time.” He lowers his arms stepping closing to her leaving his feet in the snow. “For this world is one that does not know peace for long.” His hand wraps gently around her midsection resting gently on her back as his other hand slides along her arm interlocking his fingers with hers rising their arms as if preparing to tango with her. His moves his head closer barely scraping her ear before speaking; his cold breath passing along her skin in a gentle caress of her ear long. “But I, for one, am quite full. Thank you for the offer though.” And he smirks; a diabolic expression on a face so bleak and chiseled as his head returns up. “Life is as fleeting as snow in the summer, don’t you think?” He mutters looking up.

Misaki
“I wouldn’t fight unless I had to. But I’ve told you /why/ I won’t.” She smirked, gasping slightly as he pulled her close. Her tails flicked behind her, that frosty aura dying down. “I’d send out the humans. The weak ones. Cannon fodder, darling. That’s what they are.” The smile she gave him was laced with her devious nature. Her golden eyes almost looked like two small suns within her face, glowing from the abundance of emotions coursing in her veins. “Their lives are as fleeting as snow in the summer, yes. But, my love, stick with me and you’ll last /far/ longer.” No, she wouldn’t toss him into harm’s way to preserve herself. He might have been the only one she would save. Even the worst of the worst had that one person they cared for. She rested her hand on his cheek, a tail wrapping gently around his arm. “No. You wouldn’t be one that I sacrificed. None of these other little humans matter. They’re just as powerless against me as I am against Ruby.” And that was her goal. To surpass even her. To kill the other fox once and for all.

Of all the beings for her to compare herself to, why must that Kitsune be brought up? He doesn’t show his concern for such life decisions, though, there is a small rise in temperature about him that she would definitely notice being so close to him. How would he proceed in such a situation that has the one he cares for pitted against the one he looks to as a partner in mortal combat? He does not wish to dwell on such a future event that may or may not occur knowing that his relationship with both may end up being a factor to their bout. “Humans are known for sustaining themselves despite the horrors around them. Despite being so weak, they still survive. I admire that.” He admits looking down at her; his dark red eyes quite plain in the bland light of the grey sky; his face more innocent than normal in this dreadful winter wonderland. “For just like snow, clump them together, and they’ll prove quite the hassle to remove.” He himself lets out a short chuckle before spinning holding onto her kicking up the snow around them before letting his fingers brush up against the fur around his arm. “I wouldn’t dream of letting anything harm my little Vixen as well.” He states looking a bit more expressive then before despite his still monotone voice; his eyes appearing more alive than before. “My psychotic little ball of fur.” He teases slightly hoping to catch her off guard with his sudden warmth and choice of wording.

Misaki
There was a slight purring from the Kitsune as she held back a giggle. His little vixen? She liked the sound of that. She would have rubbed her nose against his, but she was still a bit short for that. She was a little dizzy, her tails flicking and wiggling around as she chuckled. He was warmer now, she noticed. She sighed. “Should I let the rest of them go?” She looked up into those dark red eyes, her fgertips brushing his jaw. “Or just finish what I started?” She chuckled again, pressing herself against him. Already, she was strong, but she knew she wanted to be stronger. She grinned up at him as he called her psychotic. Oh, well, he wasn’t wrong. But she didn’t mind that at all. She didn’t mind that he was right.

Aren’t they both a little lost in the head; their morals and such twisted the way they wished uncaring of who sees or cares? As if he would judge one who sees life similar to himself, but with slightly less restraint in her views. He remembers when he thought of life as something to simply empower himself with. Now, however, he finds it a spectacle to watch and wonder; to see how many try desperately to keep hold to it and gauge who he feels is deserving of such a gift. Still, he does grieve slightly for the lives of the innocent she has taken on this day, for even among filth, there are many who’s live should be left along in peace; many who do not deserve such dastardly beings deciding if they deserve to live or die. “Finish it.” He says flatly. “Leaving it the way it is will only leave lives ruined and cause word of your doings to spread. It is best to keep yourself from the public’s eye, for many would still take up arms against beings who play with lives like chess pieces.” Though, he lets her go not looking down into her sharp honeylike eyes tilting his cheek into her soft caress before his eyes hide behind his pale lids. “I will clean up once you are done.” And then, he lowers his head planting a soft, yet, firm kiss on her forehead; his cold lips tingling as she feels a chill running down her spine before he ends his light play releasing her.

Misaki
A dark smile spread across her face as he told her to finish it. That was all she needed to hear. In order to avoid playing with her food again, she went out into the center of the village. She lifted up into the air, a good hundred feet or so. And soon, she lifted her arms, pulling the emotions as she hovered in the air. Screams filled the air, mixed in with the giggles from the Kitsune. As she pulled the energy to herself, it almost seemed as if pale blue ropes were attached to her tails. It was a sight that many of the humans, even in their death throes, still stopped to watch. Her black hair flowed around her like a dark halo, her pale skin glowing in the light. Her white tails seemed to shift in color, cycling through the element colors. Her forehead, even now, still tingled a bit from feeling his lips on them. It only took moments, but soon there was nothing left but abandoned buildings and husks of the people that once lived there on the ground. She smiled and lowered herself back down, face flushed once more.

And off she goes; his hand returning to his pockets as he body simply pool into any darkness around watching from the shadows as she did her thing. He must admit, even his eyes were locked onto her as she floated higher and higher until, at a point, she stopped. Then, she begins her massacre of the people; their screams causing him to shiver even though his body is far from corporeal. This chorus of death is music to his ears despite his disliking of senseless mass murdering. Still, his eyes focused on her transfixed on her brilliance of sucking away the energy through her tails; admiring the colors that they danced between. To be honest, he admires everything about her in this moment finding her to be a lovely siren of the end before it all simply ends. He can even feel the lack of life suddenly around him and gives a single prayer that she puts their lives to some good use at least before he emerges from the shadows of a felled home near her stepping forward. “Well done.” He congratulates for her efficiency; the snow around them falling at a more rapid pace covering the corpses as if they were never there to begin with. “Remind me to not get on your bad side.” He jokes feeling the energy now vibrant within her.

Misaki
Misaki strode over to him, more confident than she had ever looked before. Her skin was more lustrous, her eyes glowing as she looked up at him. “Oh, I don’t think you’ll be getting on my bad side, love,” she said with a chuckle. “Now, why don’t we head back to the cottage? I’ll show you what this new surge of energy /really/ does to me.” There was a wink from the Kitsune, her hand reaching to take his. “Or did you have a different plan?”

Edam, The Unstable
Plan? He has no plans for today. In fact, it was by chance he even arrived upon this village while she was having her fun with it. Though, the innuendo of what she promises him, has him feeling slightly warmer on the inside. “Let us return.” He answers. “I see you are raring to make /good/ use of these people’s lives.” He couldn’t help but smirk showing how truly unforgiven this man truly is to those who cannot preserve themselves; his moment of solemn for them long passing. He let’s his hand slide coolly into hers. “Lead the way.” And as they were to take their leave, the snow behind them begins changing discoloring to an ashy black before becoming an inky substance that covered the village. She may have taking their lives, but he can still make use of them after death, and so, the village becomes yet another stain on this world.
