Alexandria Giovanni

-the holding bay was dark in most places, dim lights shinning on the specimens that were there. It was a little bit of a petting zoo, except for the petting bit. All the subjects were laied on metal tables, monitors linked to them in one way or another, cheking up vitals or pumping sedatives. Looks like the test she ran on the angel worked, since now it was applied for the baddies he got there. A cat girl approached her, pad in hand, flicking her tail back and forth when noicing her present company- It’s fine, they’re with me. I need you to partially wake up the subject on bay three, leave her aware of her surroundings, but unable to move. Test Beta 3 vaccine on her. It sounds like the right moment. -the kitty nodded and bolted with not even a word, though she did eye Nore on her way out.- Don’t ask questions about this place. I’m not sure I can give you the answer without one of you smacking me upside the head. Let’s go, straight ahead.

Nora Giovanni

As she walked, chains whipped around the floor beneath her. But they weren’t your typical chains. No. These were specifically designed to work off of her target’s weakness. Binding magic. One of Nora’s specialties. “I’ll have to bind her myself. The chains will leave her awake, but unable to strike at us. Though, I do like a good fight, I’d rather not have to stop in the middle of our task to heal someone.” She glanced around, brow raised. “I would ask questions, but I feel as if the answers would disturb even me.”

Lyon

“Ooh, this is neat!” Of course that’s his first reaction to seeing the medical procedures going on all around him. He was not quite a doctor… never a doctor… but he could admire some good science going on. As they speak about partial sedation, binding and healing, he lifted a patchwork hand to toss his words on in. “I can help with healing.” One or two elements of Soul Fire were good for such things like that, even if he did not use the full recipe. “And if we’re going to try and ask questions, I can make lying very… very difficult!” That is one of the more fun application of his special admixture.

Haruhi

Haruhi was awakened, her green eyes hazy and peering around. That long, white tail of hers flicked about, scales slithering over the metal of the table. It didn’t help that her particular breed of sedative was so damned cold that it knocked her out. She hissed, looking over at Lex. “Oh, sso you had to bring friendss to handle little ol’ me? I sshould be impressssed, but I’m not.” And as the cat girl injected that vaccine into her, she turned her head to snap at the poor thing, unable to reach with her long, venomous fangs. She looked up at the three once more, smirking at them, forked tongue flickering. “Oh, you poor, ugly sson of a bitch. You’re welcome to try!”

Alexandria Giovanni

-she kept some things to herself, that’s for sure. Behind her innocence, there was a scientific curiosity that needed to be satisfied. Hers was particulary … weird, yeah, let’s go with that. As they walked down the hall, one could see all sort of magicals, from fae, small and huge, to werewolves, vampires and even phoenixes. It seemed like one of each of the planet’s species was in there. She looked back to Nora and Lyon with a smile. That’s what she was, a scientist, a medic and one of Hellifyno’s best. They soon reached Bay three and the subject seemed to be ready for them. A retinal scan from Alexa and they were granted access in, the door closing behind them to prevent the subject from escaping.- I’ll monitor her vitals, make sure she doesn’t die before she gives us the answers we need. Do your best.

Lyon

“Haha! She called you ugly!” The jigsaw man pointed at Nora with a grin that threatened to split his face in twain. … actually… the staple on the left side of his mouth seemed to be pulling loose. Who knows what would happen should the dark and pale flesh actually peel apart. The deflection of the ugly comment was clearly a joke. The man took very little seriously, all things considered. Of course, with a crack of his neck and a snap-turn, the gray eyes were back on the serpentine woman. “So… How do you gal’s want to start this party? Ask nicely? Good cop, bad cop? Cup of tea and a few thousand cuts to get the conversation started?”

Nora Giovanni

Nora just clenched her jaw, moving to pull a smaller cart closer. The bag was set on top, opened, and unfolded. She didn’t even address Haruhi, at first. Scalpels, needles, knives, lighters, even a torch. Nora had many tools, small things that were arranged in each of the small loops of the inner pocket of the bag. “Alexandria, dear, if you’re squeamish you may not wish to watch this.” Oh, if only Amadore could see her right then. The sleeves of that shirt were rolled up, gloves added onto her small hands. Chains struck out from the floor, wrapping around wrists and the tail, pinning the snake to the table. “Hmm.” And she turned back to the bag. “I wonder if descaling you would be like descaling a fish.” And she picked up a spoon. Even if it wasn’t like taking the scales off a fish… Nora was strong enough, physically, to make it happen. “Now, before I begin, I’ll ask nicely. Just this one time, though. What is this so-called ruler’s plan for Hellifyno?” She stepped closer, glancing to Lyon. “Oh, that’s my method. I ask nicely first, and then just start peeling.” Well, flaying was more appropriate a term. “What can I say? I learned my technique from the best.”

Haruhi

“I’d like to ssee you try, leech.” Haruhi snapped, trying to wriggle herself free of the chains. Unfortunately, for her, there was no getting free. She could feel the chains sapping her magic, slowly, keeping her in a state of near human strength. “Why the /fuck/ would I tell you? You really think Fen Long would have ssent me if he thought I’d talk?” She laughed, looking at the spoon. That… was probably not going to be comfortable. The tip of her tail twitched, as if it was trying to pull itself away from Nora’s gloved hand. “Don’t you dare touch me, you dissgussting leech!”

Alexandria Giovanni

-Ohh she would stay in there. As much as her mind was screaming at her to not look. It was the being’s fault her dad died. She was the one who stalled them, so she will watch. She took a few steps back to give them more room and went to check up on the monitors. That bitch needed to stay alive enough to give them answers. Thank Gaia the room was soundproof. Nothing and no one would be able to interrupt them.- She’s all yours, vitals are steady.

Lyon

“Aww, you went right for the best torture to start with…” It might not be hard to guess that somewhere along the lines, Lyon had experienced this type of torment. He was still missing quite a bit of skin, after all. It had to be pulled off somehow. A hand rose, fingers picking at the loose staple. “Ooh! If she doesn’t talk after that, I want to see if Naga’s have flamable souls!” That probably made about as much sense as trying to watch fire freeze. Already, the gray eyes had gained a vibrant blue swirl within the iris, like molten blue fire.

Nora Giovanni

Despite her obvious enjoyment, Nora simply raised a brow. “Fine, you don’t have to answer. But you will by the time we’re done with you.” And her hand snaked out, grabbing hold of the scaled tail, pressing the spoon into the scales, drawing blood. Slowly, methodically, she pushed the spoon down the length of the tail, watching as scales began to peel away. “Oh, look, Fire Man.” She didn’t know Lyon’s name, to be fair. “She does scale like a fish. She almost smells like one too.”

Haruhi

As that spoon dragged across her scales, Haruhi clamped her mouth shut. She wouldn’t scream. Wouldn’t give them the satisfaction of seeing her in pain. She did, however, speak up. “You think I want to /die/? Don’t you sstupid beingss undersstand? I’m fucked either way. I don’t talk, you kill me. I talk? He killss me. There’ss no winning. For me or thiss pathetic planet!” But she still twitched, trying to pull her tail from the vampire’s grip.

Lyon

Fire man? He turned around for a moment only to realize he had been dubbed the fire-man. He focused less on the nickname and more on the reveleation of death-either-way. “Oh, well isn’t that lovely? You want to know something cool about dying? It means your pain ends! But if we keep you alive… say, with medicine, magic, and whatnot, we can just… keeep torturing you!” That sounded way too happy. “And if physical pain doesn’t work, there are plenty of other parts of you to torture!” That grin… the split of his face was becoming perhaps more serpentine than Haruhi the way it stretched open.

Nora Giovanni

Nora actually chuckled a bit. Seemed the scales weren’t going to get her anywhere. Fine, fine. She moved back towards her table, picking up a pair of pliers. “Or, and this is a glorious idea. I rip out your fangs.” There was more than one way to skin a– well, snake in this case. She glanced towards Lyon. “Would you mind holding her head?” She could have easily dosed the serpent with her own venom, but she wasn’t sure that someone like this would be able to actually feel its effects. She inched closer with those pliers, blue eyes focused on the serpent’s face. One hand grabbed the chin, the other bringing those pliers closer. “Open wide and I’ll be able to avoid accidentally ripping out your tongue. That part we still need.”

Haruhi

She hissed at them both, taking a deep breath as her tail was released. “Pleasse,” she growled. “You really think ssomething ass mundane ass thosse plierss are going to rip out my fangss?” There was a tiny bit of fear in her green eyes. Removing her fangs would remove her binding to Fen, yes. But he could still get her out of this if it came to it. She needed him to be able to find her! She whimpered as Nora gripped her jaw, trying to twist and dig those fangs into the vampire’s flesh.

Lyon

Lyon swiftly took his place at the head of the table. His hands move in nice and slow to take hold of the creature – as if begging for her to bite him. Why? Would she really want to see what was hidden beneath the flesh that seemed patched onto his body? Especially when the hands steamed with some unearthly faux-fire. Let her try to bite the hands as they came close. Of course, if Haruhi thought better, the fire would quell before he took hold, letting Nora have full, unbiased go at her means of torture.”Hey… Can I have the fangs? For, uh… scientific… purposes… Totally not for a necklace.”

Nora Giovanni

Nora just scoffed, closing the pliers over the left fang first. “You have ten seconds. If you don’t tell us what we want to know, I rip out this one. Then you get ten more seconds before I rip out the other one. I am rather curious as to what your venom does.” She looked up at Lyon. “You can have one. After I’ve extracted the venom.” Speaking of venom… there was a /look/ in those now crimson eyes of the vampire. “We already know your ‘master’ has been draining magic. Why?”

Haruhi

Haruhi couldn’t have bitten into Lyon if she wanted to. Not with the pliers in her mouth and the grip on her chin. Her eyes were wide, and she looked at the tool in her mouth. Okay, she liked her fangs. She wanted to keep them. “It drainss magic! My venom!” Yes, it didn’t quite sound like that, but she was sure Nora would get the point. “That’ss why he keepss me around. To drain magic.”

Alexandria Giovanni

Vitals are steady .. -though her blood pressure was a bit high and her pulse. But how could they not be when confronted with Nora and … wait  what was his name? Fire chicken? … what did Nora call him? It had something to do with fire anyway. One question answered … her venom drains magi  … so … why take the device that boosts the drain? It made little sense … unless … was he aiming to drain the planet? Surely not, it would leave him exposed and without a planet to be on … and implicitly … dead.

Lyon

“So…” A thought came to mind. “I have no idea what questions we are asking.” He was casually holding the head of the serpent woman – perhaps far too firmly for comfort. The patchwork man seemed to be enjoying participating, he considered his general role. Did he unintentionally become someone’s assistant? Those fiery gray-blue eyes turn down to Haruhi. “But I do have one for later. When we’re done… What are you doing with the uh… remains.” That grin finally did it. As he peered down at the naga, the staple nearest the left corner of his mismatched lips pops free, falling to the table beside his captive’s head. The grin split wider, given the new space to do so. At least the exposed teeth were pearly white and normal enough.

Nora Giovanni

“That wasn’t quite what I asked. But thank you for that little tidbit.” And she YANKED on the pliers, pulling the fang right out of the serpent’s skull and dropped it onto the cart with her tools. She grinned, showing her own fangs, placing the pliers on the other fang. “So. What did he want with /our/ device as well?” She leaned close, her voice dropping just a bit. “If you think that my dear Amadore was an impatient man, you don’t know just how impatient I can be, snake. So, the quicker you answer me, the sooner this stops.” She even inched her face /right/ by the snake’s neck, already activating her own curse venom. Her crimson eyes flickered up to meet Lyon’s, and she grinned again. “If my own venom doesn’t do anything to her, she’ll be all yours. I am curious to see if this cunt even has a soul.” Damn, Nora. Calm down. She looked up, brow raised. “If this goes well, there won’t be a need for remains. However, if she is killed, then I’ll potentially keep them. Necromancy can be rather useful when dealing with a difficult subject.” She hadn’t even considered that she’d just let her opinion on the fallen Archon of the Giovanni slip. Oops.

Haruhi

As her fang was yanked out, Haruhi let out a scream. Blood poured from her mouth, her pulse definitely spiking. “Ohh, you were /in love/ with him, weren’t you?” She laughed, spitting the blood right in Nora’s face. “You fucking leechess and your fickle heartss.” She looked over at Lex and laughed. “Thiss could have been avoided. All we wanted wass Missato. Give her to Fen Long, thiss sstopss. It’ss literally that ssimple. Oh, or you could help him. Kill that god, and she hass to go back to him.” She flinched, though, as the pliers were placed on her remaining fang. What the hell did the vampire mean by her own venom? Haruhi was immune to most of it. Most.

Alexandria Giovanni

-she doesn’t speak,  but in response to what she said, Lex grabbed a syringe with a nice, golden liquid inside. She ignored the high pulse warning from her monitor and proceeded to go around the snake, stopping right where the iv was. Without even looking at her, she forces the liquid into her iv. From now on, a touch would be like fire ants biting her skin. Any physical pain would grow exponentially. Sucks to be her right now, but they needed answers.-

Lyon

“Ffffine!” He groaned, but remained steadfast in the grip of the serpent woman’s head. “I don’t mind sloppy seconds.” There was a little sadness… if the venom succeeded, poor Lyon will lose out on a plaything. Maybe the body will remain… but no, Nora had dibs on that too. Poor Lyon got the shit end of the stick here. A thumb caressed Haruhi’s cheek. “Poor you. My torture is much more delightful. It’s like the perfect trifecta… A millennia in the making… Truly a wonder to be consumed by it.”

Nora Giovanni

The blood in her face didn’t bother her. In fact, she let her tongue stick out slightly to catch the drops. Mmm. She hadn’t had /fresh/ blood in a while. And just as Lex inserted that needle into the IV, Nora struck, burying her fangs into the serpent’s throat. She pumped that damned thing full of curse venom, ripping herself free, only to watch what would certainly be spasms and screams. Maybe she’d even talk. Nora’s eyes were bright red, glowing, and she’d had to /force/ herself to stop before she killed the thing. She took a few breaths, RIPPING the other fang out and depositing it on the table. The only reason she’d said what she did was because she knew. She knew what drinking from a living target would do to her. Her jaw clenched, and she forced that beast back down. “Just make it slow and painful,” she growled. Oh boy. Thankfully for Lex, she’d never seen this side of Nora. Hell, the majority of the family hadn’t even seen it. Her hand lifted, touching at the scar on the side of her face, her eyes focused on Lyon and Haruhi for the moment, refusing to look at Lex.

Haruhi

The combination of that serum and the bite made Haruhi scream again, her body thrashing as best it could while bound to the table like it was. And as she watched Nora rip out her other fang, she screamed again. But it was almost like something snapped within the serpent. As if a chain had been broken with the removal of her fangs. “O-okay,” she panted. “I’ll talk.” Please make it stop. “He wants…” Well, shit. Her lisp was gone too without the fangs. “He wants to drain as much magic as he can to become strong enough to kill a chaos god. And then? When he gets Misato back? He’s planning to take over this world too. He knows that with Hellifyno under his thumb, it’s only a matter of time before our world, Tenrai, falls to him as well. That’s why he needed the booster. So that he could drain more of the magic faster.” She would have bitten her lower lip, but fuck that would have hurt too much. “He’s… striking Thistlemere next. That’s all I know, I swear. Duuato and Kanna would know more.”

Alexandria Giovanni

-she avoided Nora’s gaze also. It was terrifying and not for her having to be there, she would have bolted out of the room. As much as she tried to stay cool and calm, it was too much for the phoenix. She hated the snake …  but not enough to cause her that much suffering. And with the answers delivered, she rushed over with another syringe and dosed her up. This one would make all the pain go away, putting her in a hibernation of sorts.- That’s enough Nora … please … -but she only looked at Lyon, golden eyes now full of remorse and pain. It was enough and everyone knew it.- Give him the fangs and I’ll drop in later to repay his help.

Lyon

His brows perked. So talkative now! Damn. He was looking forward to his turn. That vampire was good at her job – though he should have expected as much. “Aww, someone going crazy that his girlfriend dumped him? How cute!” The sadistic cackle at the story of heartbreak might seem a bit… off. “I have a question though, in what way will this guy use all that mag…ic…” But Alexandria had cut him off with her knockout drug. “Shit.”

Alexandria Giovanni

If he manages to drain the planet, we won’t be there to see it anyway. -she looks to Lyam, but her soft smile was gone.- And the problem is I can’t make something to counter it. There is nothing to counter it … except Void, but mommy dearest might fucking join that loon rather than help us. -she dropped into a nearby chair and sighed.- What now? Lyon*

Nora Giovanni

Nora nodded. And that. That was why she didn’t bite people. Because of how /hard/ it was to stop. “We got what we needed,” she muttered. “And it’s clear what he’s going to do with it. Take over two worlds, make himself into a god. If what we’ve heard of this Kanna is true, then we won’t have to torture her for information.” She looked at the fangs for a moment, then grabbed a vial to take one of them. The other was given to Lyon. “I still need to see what kind of binding magic was used on these. Simply because it’s my domain.” And she placed the tools back in their places, her magic cleaning them, chains dropping from the table. The bag was closed, and she stalked towards the door. “I would suggest not letting Misato /near/ Thistlemere. Keep her away from this.” And she was gone, already making her way back towards her safe house on Hellifyno.”Actually,” Nora said, just before she left. “Your mother might not join him. He was the one that killed your father. And, as crazy as Karen can be at times, she did love your father.”

Alexandria Giovanni

-she tapped her wrist to open a portal for Lyon and sighed- Best get back to Hellyfino. I will get back once I secure the location and run some errands here. -she looked back to Nora and sighed- You think mom would care if we die?

Lyon

The fang was given a good long look. “So, uh… This is mine? I could totally, say, do my own experiments on this one? Magic drain would be a GREAT addition to Soul Fire.” That last bit was mumbled more to himself. He tucked the fang into the inner pocket of his jacket. He took a step to the portal, but paused, peering back at the body. “Still call dibs on her when you’re uh… when you’re done… Oh!” He quickly dashed back to grab his cheek staple before heading towards the portal.
