Q: What is your full name?
Nelly: Oh, heh, it’s a bit of a mouthful. It’s Helena Elizabeth Zagurian-Faolán, but everyone knows me as Nelly.
Q: What species are you?
Nelly: I am a rare type of demon called a Muthulari.
Q: What sort of powers do you have as a Muthulari demon?
Nelly: * Lets out a low whistle at that question, smoothing out her skirt idly as she explains * A lot of it connects to sound and adaptability. I can hear things from several blocks away, I can mimic any voice or noise I hear, I can produce this sort of sonic scream that knocks people back. Oh, and I can fly, obviously * her bat-like wings twitch on her back pointedly *
Q: Where do you get your renowned speed from?
Nelly: It sort of developed as a survival mechanism as I got older, to escape dangerous situations or to hunt for food. All Muthulari develop one, but it varies from each one of us to what may best suit them.
Q: Which living person do you most admire?
Nelly: That is a tough one, to be honest * admits with a breathy laugh, wringing her hands together briefly * But I think I’d have to go with my father. He’s always strove to be kind and patient and to do what was right even when the world was pressing in on him.
Q: Which living person do you most despise?
Nelly: * Her face scrunches up briefly, her answer coming much quicker this time * I don’t despise anyone, even if maybe I should. It’s just not in me as a person.
Q: If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
Nelly: A dolphin, actually! They’re social creatures, which works great for me. And living underwater full time would be a vastly different experience, I think it’d be neat.
Q: What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Nelly: Well, there are different types of love, obviously. But if you mean romantically that would obviously be husband, Wilhelm * her smile is affectionate and warm as she mentions this * He makes me feel alive, and really I think that’s what love is supposed to be, personally.
Q: If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nelly: I wouldn’t change anything about myself, not even these * pokes one of the old burn scars speckled across her otherwise pretty face * I believe loving every aspect of yourself is important.
Q: If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
Nelly: Mermaid, definitely * nods her head adamantly *
Q: You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What crazy new color name would you be and why?
Nelly: Ooh, I like this one! * giggles, even rocking back in her seat briefly * Hmmmm…. Dazzling Mauve. Mostly because it’s the same color as my hair and I like the word dazzling.
Q: Which historical figure do you most identify with?
Nelly: Eek, another tough one. But I think…Amelia Earhart, because she had a dream that she went out and worked for. And when she was successful she used it to help and encourage other women to believe in themselves. I feel like she was always true to herself, I try to hold myself to that as well.
Q: What is your greatest regret?
Nelly: * It’s the only question she truly hesitates on, her lips pursing and her expression growing a bit more solemn. * I went through a traumatic experience a couple years ago, after it was over I sort of shut down and left other people to take care of my daughter. She was barely a teenager at the time, and we got past it, but not being there for my child is definitely something I regret.
Q: What is your greatest fear?
Nelly: Losing my kids, which unfortunately is a bigger worry on a place like Hellifyno. But it’s at least something I can actively work against.
Q: What is your motto in life?
Nelly: * Her infectious grin returns * Just keep swimmin’
