Kirk / Kavish / Danvers – (RSI) Afternoon

Captain James T. Kirk

Drops a Kirk into the Inn! Where? Oh, just that booth seat over there by the Sunny Windows. What’s he wearing? What’s pictured? The Dark Black: UFP Uniform. What’s he got in front of him? Nothing. No Food. Just some incredible contemplation going on in his head. Kirk kept staring out towards the window: as if wondering, if he’ll see his father show up? Times were extraordinary delicate for The Crew: and are veering off to even worse directions. Blue contacts, however: hide the Red-Rimmed-Yellow that’s taken over his eyes. Even his face, is rather pale… By now: Kirk is staring down towards the table within the booth, closest to the window. Quiet. He should be with the group. He should always be watched, for there are enemies, all around them now. No more room to breathe, not anymore….

Alex Danvers

Danvers entered the Inn, dressed in a black leather jacket, black jeans and black boots. No DEO uniform at the moment. Was she going alone? No, Kara was escorting her. As had been agreed upon. Kirk wasn’t in bed and so she assumed the Inn. She even asked Kara to confirm, to make sure she wasn’t imagining him not being there. The truth was that Danvers was slipping too. Not as quickly as Kirk but it was there. Once inside the Inn, she nodded to Kara and thanked her, before looking around for Kirk.

Kara Zor-El

And she had agreed to escort her sister back and forth the Inn and anywhere else. Due to the attack the other day. She had to be protected. However at this point, she felt Kirk had to be protected too. And they had two very good guardians – herself and Diana. It had to be done. One of her responsibilities. Once inside, she let Alex find Kirk though and would give the couple some alone-time. Kara would treat herself to something nice.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk is still sitting in that Window Booth: but he’s no longer staring towards the table. No, the sun-shine was feeling rather good on his pale skin. How had it come to this? Still: no food, nor drink has been ordered…..

Alex Danvers

Danvers eventually found her guy, that guy. Kirk. Her guy. And so she approached him, who was in that window booth. Pale. It was bad. And getting worse. There was so much she wanted to do to help. But the progress wasn’t slowing down. Her eyes went to him, studying him. ”I’m worried about you.” Her tone gentle. Then again, she was worried about /everything/ right now.

Captain James T. Kirk

There were new people arriving into the Inn now: and even some of the old faces from way back when. Faces that The Captain, actually remembers, when he first arrived on Hellifyno…Though Kirk nods the head to Danvers, “…We’ll get past this”, like Hell You Will!

Alex Danvers

Danvers wanted to believe those words. But to a degree, she didn’t. At least not if they got separated. If they got separated, it should be /her/ going to their base. Due to logical reasons. ”I hope so.” For perhaps the first time, Danvers admitted she was unsure. So much could go wrong in a very short time. ”I believe it, deep down.” She also added, twiddling with her fingers. ”But so much is unknown. And it scares the hell out of me.” Even admitting to her own fears now. She was hurting.

Captain James T. Kirk

Quiet Captain is Quiet. Though he does, extend his hands out to hers, to hold them within his grasp. Tired: not much sleep. It’s a blessing that the contacts don’t bother his eyes, right? “Remember what Arven Sique said”, sliding his thumb over her the top of her hand….

Alex Danvers

Feeling his hands around hers, she watched their hands for a moment, embracing the touch. She was tired too. If he was unable to sleep, so was she. The words from Arven Sique were ones that she remembered. Yet… she wasn’t sure she would be able to pull that off. Danvers nodded slowly. ”I remember.” Though it went both ways. Staying strong. It didn’t necessarily mean she had to be strong while leading, but also to remain strong while being captive. There was a reason she asked a deep, worldly question that affected /everyone/. ”I just don’t feel very strong, right now.” Danvers had a struggle with herself. She was this badass human, yet she also had that vulnerable side. And right now the latter was getting the better of her. And while she didn’t like it, she couldn’t help it.

Kavish

Kavish pushed his way into the tavern. To learn a people, you must drink with a people. He strolled so eloquently, his posture perfectly poised. Two near glowing red eyes scanned the room, the contrast with his royal blue skin was evident. Everything about his being screamed clipped, precise foreign, Chiss. He was, however, dressed like a typical mercenary. His clothes designed to be flexible and agile over being directly strong. He sat at the bar and would order something ‘typical.’ He could feel the darkness in the room, as they may feel the grey in Kavish. A hand brushed through his midnight blue hair, before coming to clasp the glass before him. He intended to simply, be. He breathed the air, relaxed.

Kara Zor-El

At this point, Kara was enjoying a belated breakfast at the bar counter. Was she feeling better? Not really. But she wasn’t /as/ down as yesterday, so that was something. Still wasn’t over the fact she was being treated so poorly by some people.

Captain James T. Kirk

No looks. No Stares. Though the faint tug of another force user is apparently within the Inn. Tucked away within the Window Booth: Kavish would likely sense Kirk’s Force Presence. Yet: Kirks excessive toxin levels, have fully consumed The Captain. “You’ll get over this”, what did he mean by that? “…Just…Practice. Concentrate. Meditate. Focus”, everything that He should be doing, right? “Focus on what you can handle during the time”, it was going to get rough…

Alex Danvers

And if he was able to feel the Force, he would also be able to detect Danvers’. She wasn’t hiding it with Force Stealth. Why should she? In truth, she hated the Force. All it had done, was bring pain. The words he said, were true. Yet she didn’t know if she could do that: get over her vulnerability, most likely. That’s what she got from that. ”I try.” Danvers said. ”But I don’t think I’m doing it right.” Self-taught wasn’t always a good thing. At the end of the day, she was neither Jedi or Sith. Just a woman who knew how to use the Force.

Kavish

He swirled his drink and finished his glass. He waved a hand for a second glass, which he took when it arrived. He rose and turned to face the booth housing the two force users. He was blank, no emotion could be felt or seen. He was a painting, expressionless. He carried himself towards them, bowing his head once he was close in a sign of greeting. “Do you mind if I sit with you?” His voice was deep and low, like a professor telling off a student. “I could not help but notice you from across the room, my… curiosity was peaked. I’ve not met a Jedi or Sith from this world you see.” His eyes danced between the two, an iris just about visible behind the near pink glow.

Captain James T. Kirk

Most of Danvers words were soon processed by Kirk, most of them. However, when new activity became apparent at their table with the new figure? Kirks palms immediately began to charge, in a further effort to protect: not only himself, but that of Danvers, why? Paranoid? Loss of Sleep. And yet another force user within this Inn. Kirk kept his right hand, gently upon Danvers, to ease her worried soul, “…You mean we’re show pieces?” Kirk asks, “…We’re neither of those”, meaning: Sith. Meaning: Jedi. “But since you’re here? Pull up a chair, sit down”, he offers the man.

Alex Danvers

His hand upon hers, helped. Him close helped in general and eased her mind. It always had and always would. She took a firm hold of his hand, now with the new arrival. Her hazel eyes were mostly on Kirk, though she studied the stranger as well. Kirk said it, though. They were neither. ”We’re neither Sith. Nor Jedi.” She stated once more. As for him joining, she didn’t see why not. ”We don’t mind.” In terms of him joining.

Kavish

“Then we have something in common. Thank you.” He spoke as he placed himself upon the chair, patting himself down. “I’m new to this world you see, if you are neither Jedi nor Sith, may I ask where you received your training? That is, of course, provided you have had some form of instruction…” He sipped his glass, his eyes dance on every word they said. The corners of his mouth peaked ever so slightly, his eyes squinted as he watched them both intently. “You’re both Humans as well, I presume?”

Captain James T. Kirk

“Something. Yes”, Kirk offered, “More of a curse, actually” Even while he observed the man sit down into the chair: then proceeded to lift his focus back, onto the-man’s face, “…Human”, Kirk is Enhanced. “…And what of your story?”, he asks, “Name? Introductions? Where are you from?” Details. “….As far as being trained? We’re: mostly self-taught”

Alex Danvers

”Definitely more of a curse than a gift.” Danvers nodded in agreement with Kirk. As for the training, well… it was no secret. ”Little to /no/ formal training.” She looked at Kirk for a moment. ”We’re more or less self-taught.” Which, in retrospect, hadn’t worked that well. A nod was given to the male. ”Human, yeah.” Kickass human, though she wasn’t going to bring that up.

Kavish

“Of course: where are my manners? My name is Kavish and I am, of course, Chiss. My world, Csilla, resides in what most call ‘Wild Space’.” He nodded slowly to himself for a moment. “My people reject both the teachings of the Jedi and the Sith. Though they had me trained by both.” He slides the glass away from him, allowing his hands to fall together on the table before him. “What makes you say it is a curse? If I may be so bold.”

Captain James T. Kirk

It was only proper to dole out names, places and to be friendly? So? “I’m Jim Kirk”, because no one would recognize that name, right? “…I’m from Earth. Or a version of Earth that coincides with Hellifynos time-line?” Which could mean: infinite possibilities? “Your people, were successful in rejecting them? But they learned each of their teachings?” Now: Kirk is really interested, “How can this even be done?”, then he answers, “…It’s a curse, due to continued personal losses”

Alex Danvers

Danvers listened to the words spoken. And with the introduction, she would extent the same. ”Alex Danvers.” Not full name of course but it would do. He was a stranger, after all. ”I’m from a different version of Earth.” There were many, many of those. As for him learning both, well that was interesting. He had learned both, meaning he was on the gray scale. Or at least knew of both Light and Dark. ”It’s brought us nothing but pain and suffering.” She wasn’t wrong about that.

Kavish

He leaned forward ever so slightly, his grip released to allow his hands to sing with expression now. “There are those who would tell you? That you fall to the Dark? Or? You fight to remain pure with meditation… This is made out of fear, the dark fear death and so they grow drunk with power so that the lies they tell themselves can maintain their masquerade. The Light is no different, save they wish to die in the knowledge that they have appeased some greater power.” He gripped his glass, swirling it slightly, watching the bubble rise. “You cannot effectively tame a wild beast by beating it, nor by praying at it. It is with mutual respect that we release ourselves of this fear. Though this path is dangerous, without guidance most unknowingly cling to one side or the other…especially if that side has clung to them…” His eyes flicked onto James intensely for a moment. “You say you’ve lost much since discovering your….power. Do you hold the force to account for such? Or is it that you feel that had you been more prepared…Could you have used it in some manner, to change what occurred?” He finished his drink swiftly. “Forgive me if I’ve over-stepped boundaries?”

Captain James T. Kirk

Since informing others of their plight: has only increased their amount of emotional/physical traumas? Kirk is hesitant to breathe the real source for their personal losses. Carefully, though; Kirk digested each word presented to him. He’s been told to embrace the darkness, as well as the light? Neither of which made sense to Kirk. Clung to him? Perhaps the pale skin, was more than evident by this point? Discerning features carried themselves, however, “…To put it delicately”, Kirk leans forward as well to Kavish. Yet his palms are no longer charged, “….We’re in a Rather, Unique Situation”

Alex Danvers

Kavish appeared knowledgeable, at least. There was truth to his words, of how he spoke of the Force in general. They were meant to be more-gray, than light, or dark. Danvers felt both sides were too extreme, both in their own rights. The question he asked was very interesting. ”I’d say it’s a bit of both.” Danvers admitted. ”Mostly because we’ve not been prepared.” A brief pause. ”But yeah, the Force is also to be blamed.” More so since without it, they would not have their current issue. As for those issues, she would not speak of them. Only if Kirk did.

Kavish

“A wise man once said, the difference between an error and a mistake is simply the inability to amend it. I will not delve into your private life, after all, we barely know each other. Although if I may, what type of relationship do you share? I sense a strong connection between the two of you. I, of course, don’t mean to intrude into your personal lives, but I would have hated to interrupt what could have been a fine meal amongst lovers…” His voice had slowly attained a modicum of variance, no longer existing on one singular level.

Captain James T. Kirk

“Strong connection”, Kirk answers for Danvers, “…Better question. Now that you’re here?” Indicates the table, “…How do I? Amend?” Calm down Kirk, “….How do I stop its progress?”

Alex Danvers

A strong connection indeed. ”Very strong.” Kavish would, no doubt be able to figure out what kind. And the questions. Ones that were extremely important. They needed a way to amend it and amend it fast!

Kavish

His lids closed, the smirk reappearing upon his lips. For a moment, he could be a smiling chilled corpse before they flash open again. He waves down a tender to bring him another drink, he speaks. “How do you stop what, Captain?” His tone now, usually so mellow and empty, but now… it flowed.

Captain James T. Kirk

Captain? Kirk lifts his gaze back over to Danvers, since he’d never disclosed his title within this conversation. Quiet. “I only disclosed, Jim Kirk”, to Kavish, “Or does, planet Chiss: keep their residents, regularly informed, of my whereabouts?”

Alex Danvers

The smirk /sort of/ showed he knew. Not that she minded. It was no secret, after all. Even a faint smile showed on her lips. Kirk was the best thing to have happened to her on Hellifyno. How Kavish knew he was a Captain was… odd. Unless he had known beforehand. The gaze went to Kirk as well. This male must have known beforehand. ”Where did the title come from?” She was curious as to why he had picked Captain out of all available titles out there. Something odd was going on.

Kavish

“To put it… Delicately… I find myself in an infinitely unique situation.” He sips his newly arrived drink. He placed it down slowly and then continued as before. “Now back to our previous conversation… What did you want me to… amend?” He spoke so coyly, he corrected any sluggish posture. First impressions and all that.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk: Is Not Amused. “Explain how you knew my title”, obviously sitting straight in his seat, “And the conversation, will perhaps, continue?”

Alex Danvers

”Answer that first.” Danvers said to Kavish. Because they both wanted to know. If he answered that, then /maybe/ they would say more.

Kavish

“The Chiss Ascendancy once allied itself with the Galactic Empire when we saw ourselves threatened by a force far stronger than anything we could have prepared for… Unforeseen circumstances, however, granted us protection. We no longer needed the Imperials and so the ‘alliance’ broke down. They continued to respect us however and so a few Chiss Operatives were granted respectable positions within their ranks, for as long as they act in their interests. They’ve never been shy about naming their enemies, many of whom we’ve recruited or cooperated in some fashion over the years. Do you find my answer satisfactory?”

Captain James T. Kirk

After much deliberation, Kirk eventually nods the head, agreeing with the Chiss Operative. This wasn’t just one planet: it was spread over a number of galaxies. How in the Hell do they escape those circumstances? When their enemy has infinite chess pieces? “Now that you’ve explained it, Kavish”, Kirk remarks, “Everything is rather clear, once more”, too clear…

Alex Danvers

No one needed the Imperials. Absolutely no one. They were scum. The explanation was a good one and did explain what had been asked. ”That explains it well.” Danvers nodded. She understood it and it was a good piece of knowledge.

Kavish

“Of course.” He places the glass down. “Though clarity is merely a point of view. The relationship between ourselves and the Empire is… Complex. As I have said, my people reject the teachings of the Sith. They are merely pawns…But I digress. Shall we continue with the question you had earlier?”

Captain James T. Kirk

Sorry for the delay! “Complex is another way to explain it”, another nod of the head, “….I have a number of questions, actually. Yes. How can this be amended, this?” Kirk went so far as to indicate the paleness of his skin, “Can that even be reversed?” He’s not talking about sun-tanning, either.

Alex Danvers

Danvers observed Kirk as he asked and spoke. The question was not only for him but also her, for the future. How to keep their darkness in check. ”I’m curious too and have to know.” She stated. ”For his sake. And mine.” So that she could help him. And herself. Because she was falling too.

Kavish

“Before we continue, I want you to tell me what you know of your… affliction. Tell me what you think, you feel.” He spoke carefully, he finished his third drink and placed it carefully beside the other glass.

Captain James T. Kirk

Not even a pause, “…My afflictions, come with constant visions, of the damage that I’ll create across this planet. Then on ward to the next planet. Earth: and so on”, Kirk replies, “…It is getting worse, along with my paranoia. Which, isn’t helping matters”, “I know the faces of my enemies, their names and even their possible stations in this delicate scenario”, he informs him, “And I’ve already met the Senator under less than stellar circumstances”, Emperor Palpatine. “…Among others”

Alex Danvers

Danvers listened carefully to this. More so since Kirk was in the most immediate danger. Of course she was in danger too. Worry… fear… pain. And more. Seeing him like this hurt. She frowned at the words, knowing he had these visions. And knowing it could become reality. It already had once.

Kavish

“These visions that you receive, whispers from the force, how do they make you feel? Do you fear what you could do? Do you feel pride in your power? Do you have a hunger for the power? What do you feel?” He spoke calmly, controlled. He needed to know what Kirk’s state was before he could heal him.

Captain James T. Kirk

“To be honest”, Kirk murmurs, “…In another time-line”, thank goodness Khalass and his crew corrected that event with the Omega-13 device. “I’ve already taken out The Federation Space Outpost. To their Main Headquarters for Earth” It was all completed within less than two hours. Slow nod of the head, “…I’ve already destroyed a clone of myself about, what?” Then, to Danvers, “About six months ago, maybe less?”, then focused back onto Kavish, “…With the right push” Pausing for effect, “Right now? Today?” All of that brash, recklessness and tactical strategies at his beck and call, “…I’m not sure where the line is for?” Pausing once more, “…For anything anymore….” His eyes locked…

Alex Danvers

Yes. That was true. The other timeline. She wouldn’t go into great detail as to /how/ it was rectified. But she could confirm. ”Thankfully, we managed to rectify it.” But could the same be done this time around? Never knew. They need something more concrete. Nodding to Kirk. ”Somewhere around six months.” She frowned with the rest of his words. It was true. It could happen at any given moment. ”Something we can’t let happen.” Danvers was still of the opinion that once they had Kirk, there would be no need for Danvers. She was weak compared to the other Force users about.

Kavish

He rises from his seat. “I have heard everything I need. I will help you, but first there are things I must do.” He bows his head. “It has been a pleasure meeting with you both. Remember, never try to bury your memories or feelings. They are not ashes which can be put out, they’ll always rekindle.” And with that, he walks towards the exit, disappearing into the city streets.
