æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Leaving the simple wooden staff at the water’s edge, Anthem, Gwen, and Elesis walked into the lake until they were completely submerged; but surprisingly they didn’t get wet. While the lake still made them weightless as water often does, the air breathing females found no issues in the act as they swam deeper and deeper into the depths. The area around them appeared massive and boundless like the sea, but instead of aquatic animals one would expect the trio of women would find spirits of some watery creatures floating and swimming within the Lady’s Lake.

As they ventured further into the lake the light of Twine would grow softer behind them while the image of the mystical tower grew in front of them, shimmering, wavering slightly as the light bent in the water. Their destination was visible on the other side of a small portal, the tall obelisk reaching towards the heavens just beyond the looking glass. A single touch of the Scion’s human hand against the portal had the trio sucked into the looking glass and with a slight sense of vertigo, Anthem, Gwen, and Elesis would appear only a few meters away from the Pangoya Tower.

Wow.” Anthem stated as her crimson red orbs looked up the incredible spire. Taller than the tallest building in Consequence, it was made out of white marble, black ivory, and various aquamarine sculptures and gems embellished into the structure. A double wide and double tall archway filled with mahogany brown wooden doors and black wrought iron handles and hinges. While the sun hung high in a sky blue sky with a few fluffy white clouds, but there was no wind, flora, or fauna here; betraying the fact that.<E>

Gwen Poole

If this had been months ago, Gwen would’ve had a fair amount of difficulty swimming with all her things, which wasn’t the best idea, but all the same, she was doing her absolute best, managing to keep up just behind Anthem until they reached the portal and arrived… “…Magic is soooooooo weird! Like, how is this under a lake!” Likely because it wasn’t under a lake at all, but someone would explain it to her if it was important.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

A natural hatred for water. That’s what this feeling is within her. Not to mention the drowsiness. The fact she wasn’t getting wet helped, but she couldn’t escape the skin crawling feeling of despair that forced its way into her soul when surrounded by large amounts of water like this. Her affinity is with fire, and that affinity brings with it a natural fear of the ocean or any large body of water. Though, through her grit alone, she had conquered such fears. With her mind as… warped as it currently is however, it is hard for her to ignore the memories of drowning as a child. Still, she must continue on since she is not actually suffering any ill effects from diving into this strange spiritual lake aside Anthem and Gwen. Oh look, ghost fish all around them. That’s pretty neat, but she’s already ready to get out the lake, and luckily for her, they’re quickly sucked into a portal and spit out before the looming tower. “Well, quite the looker.” She comments shivering and rubbing her arm looking down at the scimitar she brought with her. It’s still bloody. Guess the lake couldn’t have cleaned it off for her. It’s probably about to get even bloodier too. She moves her red eyes onto the mahogany doors. “Do we knock?”

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

We’re in the spirit world… I haven’t been here since I was a girl.” Anthem replied to Gwen as she looked up into the faux sun. She took a deep sigh, this sol didn’t empower her like the Hellifyian sun did. Looking down towards the door, it split open to release two beings. While both of them were humanoid and male, one of them was massively huge. “Guess not.” She replied to Pink Avengers question. No less than 20 feet tall and half a short ton, this spirit guardian wore a black kimono and a bright red fez while toting a massive studded club about half his size. The other man was normal by comparison, the size of an average man in a similar black kimono and a hairpiece so pompous that the spirit was clearly some form of nobility. On his waist was a seemingly normal sized katana colored black, with its hilt being four angled prongs in a black square. “Three more contestants for the Tower!” The massive man guffawed, and then leaned in towards the party scanning them over with his right eye. “Hmmmm? Is that the Scion? Oh what a lucky day indeed!” Then he took a few steps forward, filling the vision of the three women. “I am the Guardian Jiroubou, defender of the Pangoya Tower! This is my second, Kishimoto Iziz. If you wish to begin your journey to the top, you must defeat us first.”

Gwen Poole

“…Did we DIE?” Gwen said that with only the slightest amount of fear. She had every reason to not think they died, but all the same… ‘spirit world’? That didn’t sound like places people went when they were alive. At all. Seeing two guys up ahead, one of them huge, Gwen swallowed nervously, looking him over. But, he seemed… happy to see them, in an odd way. Until he mentioned needing to defeat them. “Oh. Uh… Hi. I’m, uh… I’m Gwen. And by ‘defeat’, do you just mean… we need to beat you up?”

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Spirit world? Well, they’re obviously not dead since Anthem seemed a bit enthusiastic about this. “I doubt it’s death.” She states looking to the doors as they opened. Well, this is a sight. One man is like… 4 of her standing on each other’s head and the other, well, he just looked normal. They had on nice looking black dresses though which caused her to snicker. Though, they have weapons and knowing that they have to fight to prove themselves, she wasn’t caught off guard when the challenge was issued. “Seems like it Gwen.” She tilts her head. “Unless we have to kill you boys instead” Either way, it’s going to be a fight, and not an easy one considering one dude is so big. “I’ll take the giant.” She’s deranged for calling the big dude out like that. “What was it? Jiroubou? The name’s Elesis.”

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Anthem’s eyes went wide as she heard the smaller man introduced. Could this be a family member of hers? This Kishimoto had never taken the time to memorize her family tree, at least not going back further than when they immigrated to Hellifyno.”I am Anthem Lucas, Scion of Hellifyno. She looked towards Gwen and Elesis and shrugged; she had never met nor heard wind of this being before. “No Gwen. We came here body and all.” “I will take the Scion Iziz.” Jiroubou stated a large and cocky grin on his face. “You can take two little girls on right?” “I would not take any of them so lightly, Jiroubou. The Scion especially.” The Kishimoto spirit replied in a quiet, reserved tone; one that made him sound more disciplined and refined, making him clearly the more dangerous opponent.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Nonsense! No little girl can stand up to me!” And to prove his point, the massive man jumped in the air with his club high above him! He came barreling down from a dozen feet up, swinging his huge studded club downwards with the intention to pulverize the Hope of Hellifyno. Without fear or shock the Scion stood in place and watched as the large spirit bounded for her, bringing her right arm above her just moments before he landed. “Rank amateur.” The Kishimoto spirit stated under his breath as in a quick movement he launched a dozen senbon needles at both Gwen and Elesis, moving very quickly as he came up behind his projectiles to close the distance. A single hand rested against the swordsman’s sheath, his thumb poised to flick the hilt and pull his weapon against his opponents.<E>

Gwen Poole

“…I am NOT a little girl! I’m a young lady.” 5′ 4″ was average height! At least this Iziz guy had the right idea of not taking them lightly. “Gimme juuust a bit, though…” So… No fancy weapons, then? Well… Gwen figured her backpack full of ammo and guns wasn’t necessary. But she also knew she’d be tempted to use them if she kept them. As such, she stepped off to the side, shrugging off her backpack, and then unholstered her guns to put them away… except for one. She always kept the zebra-striped one on her, no matter what. She’d just have to fight the reflex to pull it out and fire. Instead, she took out two ninjato, shortswords, and attached them to her belt in place of the Vorpal Blade, which she also figured it’d be better to leave, as well as her lightsaber. That left her with just a belt of daggers and two swords. Of course, she did this all rather quickly, so as to not hold anything up! Which meant she was coming right back to Elesis’ side as a bunch of weird needles got tossed her way. “EEP!” A tiny squeal, and Gwen ducked down! “So we’re just gonna go, right off the bat? Okay then!”

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Eh? Well then, the big one is quite the cocky fella, but Elesis is sort of the same in a way. Still, it pissed her off when she was seemingly thrown away to fight the other one leaving Anthem to have all the fun. Guess it’s her and Gwen vs the obviously more dangerous opponent. But, he doesn’t boast the power and size as his friend probably, relying more on skill. “I wanted to butt heads. Not have to use my head.” She mutters squinting as needles flew. Instinctively, she swiped upwards diagonally from her right up to her left catching most of the needles against the flat of her scimitar as one of two pierce into her arm causing her to wince, but Gwen actually isn’t much help in this situation as she ducks leaving herself wide open for the approaching Kishimoto to strike. “No time for being on the ground kid.” She growls swinging her arm down diagonally from left to right towards their opponent to intercept and force him to block hopefully stopping him in his tracks.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Yes, let us not waste anymore breath and time.” Iziz responded to Gwen as he closed the distance. As the needles made contact with Elesis’ scimitar, invisible threads of piano wire would wrap around her weapon quickly. The blonde one who ducked would be greeted with an attempted lowkick sweep to knock her off balance. At the same time he timed Elesis’ swing and manipulated the wires to tighten, causing her to have to cut them, and providing enough resistance to create an opening as the Kishimoto Spirit flicked his Katana open and with the ancient art of Battoui or quickdraw he aimed a strike for her sword hand.

Jiroubou landed and smashed down with such strength and vigor that it caused a large shockwave and kicking up a plume of dirt. The club made contact against her Gaian arm, causing her to crater a bit as the solid stone underneath her feet splintered and crackled; but when the dust cleared it showed the Kishimoto woman hadn’t even flinched. “Is that your best?” She questioned with a growing smile on. “It’s my turn.” Anthem batted away the club and jumped upwards, destroying the earth beneath her even more with her upwards thrust, while her human left arm came upwards in a solid uppercut to the bottom of his jaw and sending him reeling backwards a bit. But Anthem needed to finish her fight as fast as possible, fearful of any ancient Kishimoto spirit as she needed to back up her partners as soon as possible.

<e>

Gwen Poole

Ah, well, here was the part of fighting that Gwen hadn’t quite mastered; as she was more accustomed to shooting to kill regardless of her use of sword-play, not every action she took always took into account the consequences. As a consequence! …The sweep knocked her waaaay of balance, and sent Gwen pinwheeling backwards! But, she recovered after a few steps back, and planting a foot to catch herself, Gwen pulled her ninjato free of their sheathes and nodded at Iziz. Okay… Okay… Now all she had to do was make sure she didn’t hit Elesis while fighting this guy as she came at him with both blades, one trying to parry the katana as he pulled it free as the other went for his arm!

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

‘Well, fuck this guy.’ Already, she’s getting screwed over by tricks. She instantly feels her sword pause in its movement; her arm catching as something pulls it off course. She couldn’t do anything to help Gwen from the kicking, but she has to worry about herself as well. As her blade is pulled, she also notices the man unsheathing his, so, instead of cutting through the wires, she lets go of her sword allowing the wires to hold it in the air at that moment stepping back causing the sword to miss her right hand. That’s not the end of her movement though as her left swings downward grabbing the hilt of her floating scimitar pulling it down with renewed vigor pulling the sharp edge through the wires downward to hopefully land a clean slice straight through the Kishimoto. Luckily for her, her sidestepping movement also put her out of the way of Gwen’s attack. If the girl did deflect the attack that was swung at her, then, that just makes it that much easier for Elesis to swing her blade downwards as a counter.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Anthem quickly put her hands together in a boxing position as she bobbed and weaved to close the distance between herself and the giant Guardian. Jiroubo regained his footing and tried to hit her with a wide sweep, in which the Scion watched the swing come and put in a well placed jump over the massive studded club. Then the Hope came in with a flying side kick to her opponents midsection, with a falling elbow upon his exposed leg; he was so massive and slow that he was full of openings. This would be a new test of all their skills as the Kishimoto Iziz would guard the gate from the unworthy dutifully. The wires were being pulled down and towards him, so when Elesis let go of her weapon that Scimitar would be pulled down to the ground and dragged away. She’d have to attempt something of a combat roll to recover it. But because her hand was no longer in the way, he missed his strike and carefully looked over to the blonde one who came at him with her duo wielding ninjato pair. He made like the mountain and grabbed his weapon with two hands and with quick reflexes he kept with with parrying her fury of blows.

Gwen Poole

Now that she was in closer range with the guy, Gwen felt her heartbeat in her head. Ooooh boy! There was no doubt in her head that this guy was on some other level that she wasn’t at all prepared for – it was like an alarm bell in her head that the quicker and dirtier she made this, and the less about trying to match him skill for skill, then the more alive she’d stay in this spirit world. As such, Gwen did her best to keep the guy busy sword-wise by having another strike come in up high, but she kept one ready to guard herself… but the real goal was a very risky shot to the man’s lower gonads, hoping that maybe that was still a no-no spot to hit on a ghost dude. Maybe not. But she was going to goddamn try it.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Well, it wasn’t the best of ideas. Elesis didn’t actually know what had stopped her blade and due to expecting some kind of spiritual mumbo jumbo, she had let her blade go. That was a good thing and a mistake. One, she didn’t lose her hand, but she did lose her weapon. Lucky for her, Gwen came in distracting the swordsman with quite the display of… skill. Either way, this is Elesis’ time to get her scimitar and help out in some form, so with a quick dash that turns into a roll, she lands right next to her weapon pulling it up off the ground. That’s when she notices the wires around her blade, and where do they connect? With slight curiosity, she grabs the wires with her gloved hand and pulls wondering what would happen. This is probably going to hurt considering it’s probably sharp wire, but maybe it’ll give Gwen that opening she is looking for. Most likely they are probably connected to the Kishimoto, and maybe pulling them would cause a mishap. A fair fight is impossible. Hell, the fight wasn’t fair when a 20 foot man stepped out.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

The giant Guardian had found a small opening as the Scion fell to smack her entire body at the same time with his massive hand, sending her flying away a few yards away! She flipped once in the air and landed in the low crouch position, her crimson orbs staring down Jiroubo. There was a bated breath that she took as they both seemed to take each other more serious now. The Scion straightened up, turned her head side to side to limber up some, and changed stances as she extended her bandaged Gaian asking hand towards the Giant; beckoning him towards her with a small taunt.

The Kishimoto Kensei was finding more and more flaws in the blonde woman’s stragey as he clearly outmatched her in skill. But what he didn’t truly expect was the low blow she aimed to deliver. His quick reflexes caught her foot in between his thighs, but that didn’t stop Gwen’s size 6 boot from making some contact. His eyes budged slightly but he didn’t drop, the spirits face showing a true pain a man would have felt in the physical. As Elesis pulled on the wire, Iziz would use that to toss himself towards the pulling; with Gwen’s caught foot forcing the duo wielding merc into her comrade. There was no such thing as fair in a fight. <e>

Gwen Poole

“Ohshi–” He CAUGHT her foot, even as she hit him! Uuuuunexpected! UNEXPECTED! “WHOA!” She hobbled on her one foot as she found herself coming Elesis’ way against her will, but! Gwen did seem to manage another spectactular show of balance, and even if she hit Elesis, she didn’t just SMACK into the other woman and THEN fall over. She’d just kinda… bounce off, flail a bit more, and then recover to come into a guarded stance. “…Goddammit…” There were two VERY different fights going on. “Elesis… I’m just gonna… follow your lead.” Not quite a year’s worth of any kind of combat training wasn’t gonna cut it here. Elesis, though, was older. She’d know a bit more. Maybe together, with experiences combined, the most experienced taking the forefront, they could pull this off!

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Well, something did happen. It wasn’t exactly what she wanted to happen. Pulling the wires somehow got Gwen coming at her which caused her to go a bit bug eyed. Though, the blonde seemed to catch herself and simply bump into Elesis awkwardly causing her to stumble a few steps. “Ah… My lead? Man, I wish I knew how to go about this.” She mutters chuckling a bit as she then decides to cut her sword free from the wires. What is the best way to go about this? This guy is trained well. A frontal assault probably won’t work against him. They’ll need to do something surprising to catch him off guard. “Got any more dirty tricks up your sleeve?” Elesis questions Gwen rolling her neck. “Get ready to do anything and everything, watch my back, and not die of course.” And, with that, Elesis charges forward thrusting her blade forward as she gets near following it another thrust and another in a series of relenting strikes.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

As Anthem’s battle went underway, she spared a glance over to her comrades to see the quite daring battle that they underwent. Wires and needles? These kinds of tricks were favored of those who sit at the clan’s head, which proved much for the Scion. So as Jiroubo charged her, the female Kishimoto quickly took off to her right! Taking a few bounding steps as she aimed to catch the Kishimoto spirit off guard with a flying high kick!

Huh?! YOU’RE FIGHTING ME!” The massive creature yelled as Anthem had shifted her priority. Iziz was able to deflect her sudden kick to his blind side with the sheath of his Katana. “Lemme take this guy. He /is/ family after all.” The Scion stated to her party members. “Gwen. Gimme a knife if you can spare it…” Now the angry massive Guardian started to charge all three of them.

<e>

Gwen Poole

“…You sure?” Gwen looked past Anthem at the BIG guy. And then back at Iziz. “Actually, you know what, nevermind, he’s all your’s!” Gwen tossed Anthem one of her ninjato, and then replaced it in her hand by pulling one of the many kunai daggers in her belt free. And then she nodded at Elesis. “We’re tagging out of this one, but I’m still following you.”

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

4/23 11:25PM

Eh? Her fight just gets interrupted and ended just like that. But! It seems she does get to deal with the big guy, and as she thinks about that, she realizes this may not be the best of ideas. And to think, she taunted the giant one before. Heh. She really is stepping beyond her boundaries, but hey. She has gwen with her. That’s… better than being alone at least. She recedes from the Kishimoto and backs up to Gwen rolling his shoulders. “Whelp. Ya know what they say? Ya ain’t living until you’re dying.” She roughly pats Gwen’s back looking at Jiroubou as he shook the ground with his running. “Let me hold one of your knives.” Elesis says pulling Gwen aside towards the approaching giant. “See ya later, Anthem!” She yells sounding a bit too excited for what is going to be quite the battle.

Gwen Poole

4/23 11:28PM

“One dagger thingy, comin’ up!” Gwen had plenty of them to spare; never knew when you needed a knife, after all! She passed Elesis one of her kunai as well, and then locked her eyes on Jiroubou. And swallowed. Welp… However Elesis wanted to tackle the big bastard, she’d do her best to follow her lead. Experience would get them through this, not Gwen’s dumb luck. And all because she didn’t have guns!

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

4/23 11:56PM

The massive giant Jiroubo came in with his huge studded club and swung at the redhead then the blonde in one wide arc as he tried to catch both of them using his intense reach. “You lot thing your worthy of the Tower?! HAH. I’ve have tougher fights with me mum!”

At the same time Anthem slowly dragged Iziz’s attention away from her comrades. “Did you say we’re Clansmen?” The spirit Kishimoto questioned the living one, who nodded slowly while pulling the ninjato from its shealth and held it in her left hand. “I am Anthem Lucas Kishimoto, Scion of Hellifyno.” Iziz nodded in understanding and with both hands on the grip of his katana he took a more aggressive stance. “Then there is no holding back.” The Kensei replied and stepped closer. “I understand.” The Elementalist nodded, then jumped right in! Clashing blades with her elder as they started the dangerous dance of honed death.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

4/24 00:01AM

Oh! Here it comes. It’s a giant club coming right for them! Well, dodging it easy. “Here we go!” She exclaims bending her legs while pushing Gwen to the ground as she takes the knife and rolls under the oncoming club hoping Gwen doesn’t get hit after she pushed her down. Then, she’s rolling and back on her feet charging at the giant hopefully reaching him before he could swing again and runs under his feet making sure to be between him to keep him from stepping on her immediately swinging her scimitar wildly at his ankles as she passes to get behind him. “Hah! You’re too damn slow to be of any good.” She mocks.

Gwen Poole

4/24 00:08AM

“ACK!” The swing of the club was quick, and Gwen could’ve maybe tried to duck under it… Or Elesis could push her instead! Either way, the club was avoided and Gwen didn’t get sent flying away like a golfball! That was something! She rolled some distance away, instinctively trying to put distance between her and the giant… and when she jumped back up, she instinctively reached– for guns that she wasn’t supposed to use and thus didn’t have. Dammit! “Friggin frick…” She rushed forward then, trying to back up Elesis, but she wasn’t quite sure where to strike yet… and thus didn’t. She also didn’t want to get in Elesis’ way, either.

It would seem like the giant’s swing missed as both women found their way underneath the studded club. In response Jiroubo raised it up as he planned to come down on them with a chop, but the smaller beings were quicker than that! Elesis lead the way underneath his black kimoto if she planned to go between his legs to get passed him. She slashed his ankle a few good times before he jumped! Surprisingly high for such a massive being, and attempted to come down with a powerful stomp on both Elesis and Gwen. Hit or miss it would shake the ground upon impact! Cratering somewhat.

here was the rapid sound of metal striking metal as the two Kishimoto’s did battle, with small sparks raining down to the ground with every clash. The sword saint Kishimoto Spirit had the upper hand as the Scion lost ground again and again, receiving superficial cuts on both of her arms. But what the black haired female lacked in sword skills she would make up in straight martial prowess; so while Iziz was so focused on where the younger Kishimoto was going to put her weapon he couldn’t afford to pay complete attention to her legs.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Oh great. She got some decent hits. Well, how decent can her hits even be against such a big foe. She doubts her sword cut that deep into him, but that’s no matter to her. This isn’t her grand scheme. Still… The guy jumping high into the air like that was surprising at first. Something so big is sure to come down quickly, but due to how falling works, his descent wasn’t as quick as needed to land on Elesis. For Gwen, Eh… She’s on her own with dodging since Elesis is running away from her blonde comrade rolling to dodge the falling giant. Though, this does not stop the tremors such a heavy thing falling creates causing her to immediately lose balance and fall onto her butt when she tried to stand creating a moment of vulnerability while she tried to get her head on and keep her eyes straight as everything shook. She might even barf.

Gwen Poole

“…Oh shiii–” Gwen had already been hanging back, before she rushed in to back up Elesis. But… after the very surprising jump, she turned on her heels and hurried the hell away! As the big jughead landed and the ground around them shook and cratered, Gwen briefly lost her footing, stumbling as she tried to turn again and see what the damage was, or if Elesis was okay… Which she was, mostly, except for having fallen over. “Elesis!” It was now or never, then! Gwen HAD to act, she HAD to stop fumbling! And so she tried throwing the dagger she had in her hand right at Jiroubo. Maybe even it just bounced off the shoulder she was aiming at, he’d be distracted long enough for Elesis to get up!

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Once the massive mountain of a man landed and the dust settled, he yelled loudly as his attention shifted over to the redhead who cut him. On her back she’d be a great target to receive the end of his large club, until his other shoulder was pierced by the dagger thrown by Gwen! Instead of Elesis, Jiroubo spun around to strike at the blonde one instead.

The Scion’s left leg came up as she feinted the idea that she was going to kick, balancing on one leg as the Hope parried the spirits katana without thinking about it. Even with the ground shaking beneath her feet, the master martial artist kept her balance He requested there’d be no holding back, so Anthem did him the honor of pulling out all the stops including that of a high level mental technique known as the Mushin no Shin(or Empty Mind). That all boiled down to the fact that Anthem could recognize and avoid her opponents weapon on reflex alone without having to put any thought into it, reducing her reaction time and making her that much more dangerous.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Why is there like 3 of everyone? She’s blinking rapidly grabbing at her head really hating that mini earthquake, but she’s not one to be disoriented for long. Though, rising to her feet took a bit of time as her hand rested grabbing tightly for a moment. Ugh, suddenly, she has an annoying headache. Maybe that shaking rattled something loose up there. Either way, she has to get back into the fight. Her grip on her weapon tightened as she starts focusing on Jiroubou who’s attention is currently on Gwen. A good opportunity for her to try and get in close. Though, even if she does get in, it’ll still be hard for her to get the attack she wants in. ‘Cut him down.’ Came her thoughts causing her eye to twitch as a revelation became clear. She starts moving forward towards Jiroubo as Gwen distracted him. He’s a big man, but even big men have blatant weaknesses that everyone suffers from. “Here we go.” If able to sneak upon him, her sword would find itself burying deep into the back of his ankle as she pushed in hard and tries to drag the blade in his foot to try and cut into ankle and cripple his ability to move at such speeds as he can. Maybe even cause him to fall as well.

Gwen Poole

Yay! He switched targets! …CRAP, HE SWITCHED TARGETS! Gwen was a target! He was swinging at her! Swinging! There was some distance between them, so… what did she do? Jump back out of reach? Or… try to rush in so she’d be inside of his reach, but out of the way of the club? It wasn’t like she could actually throw him on the ground if she grabbed him, or grab his wrist to get him to drop the weapon. So… That left that she had to rush forward, pray she could do it fast enough not to get hit, and try to run him through with her ninjato! Which is what she did. And why she was probably going to get swatted like a fly.

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

The pillar of wood and metal came down to smash the Pink Avenger into pulp, but she moved out of the way as it crashed down into the ground at full force. Then from behind him came Elesis! She stabbed the Guardian in the Achilles heel, running through and severing the tendon with no remorse. With a loud bellowing scream he lifted his injured foot and kicked the redheaded woman, then dropped his weapon as he teetered over! The mountain fell and caught himself on one hand, only to get stabbed by Gwen in the process. He flinched at the pain and tried to strike the blonde one at the same time, aiming to knock her back. Anthem did the feint three times in a row, each time she switched from her left to her right leg; then took a leaf out of Gwen’s book as she appeared to aim for his groin first. He instinctively flinched, his sensitive pressure point already assaulted by the Pink Avenger. The Scion would notice and use that to her advantage, threatening him there until she switched up at the last moment and tripped Iziz up.

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Ah ha! She got him. She got- “Oomph!” Well, she took a giant’s foot right to the face letting go of her scimitar leaving it in his heel as she goes soaring back and hitting the ground quite nastily rolling a bit and stopping soon after. She isn’t moving much either groaning and moaning as everything is definitely spinning and hurting now. Yeah, taking one hit from that guy hurts like hell. Give her a moment to tell if she’s even alive still.

Gwen Poole

Elesis slicing open the back of his foot seemed to be a major blow! At least it let Gwen stab him, too, but even though he’d fallen over just a little, he managed to quite easily smack Gwen and knock her back. She landed hard on her back, and skidded a little… but! With a bit of a spring in her step, and a cringe of pain because OWW, Gwen just flicked the ninjato that was still in her hand of any of his blood, and then grabbed another kunai off her belt. She was tempted to check on Elesis first, but it would be smarter to take down Jiroubo first. And so she rushed in again, throwing the dagger right at the giant’s face for a kind of feint, and then went to run him through again, this time aiming for the hand he favored for his club!

æ Scion Anthem Kishimoto æ

Jiroubo found himself on his side, unable to stand on one of his feet. Noting the redhead seemed down for the count, the Guardian would shift his focus to the speedy blonde one. She tossed a dagger at him and he actually used his other hand to move in front of his face in order to defend against said projectile. Leaving the pink one with the perfect opportunity to jump up and stab the hand she aimed for, possibly dragging it downwards as she fell for more effect. Iziz’s stumbled backwards with the intention on catching himself, that was until Anthem threw the ninjato without fail; that blade would impale the Kensei through his left thigh! To his credit the man didn’t scream out in pain, though he did fall to one knee. “You and your friends are truly fearsome warriors.” He stated with katana still in one hand, the other just /ripped/ the blade sticking out of his leg. “I yield. I judge your party worthy of entering the Tower.”

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

Ow… Ow… OW… Everything is saying to just lie there and wait everything out. Her left arm feels a bit numb. Probably because she fell on it initially before rolling. She definitely can’t make out that the battle is probably over. There’s just an annoying buzz through her whole body; adrenaline coursing with no way of being expelled. Why did she have to be the only one to really get hit by something? Why was she the most reckless in this whole situation despite getting nothing out of it? Ugh. Sometimes, she’s too good for her own good. For now, she’s just going to keep lying here waiting for the pain to subside eventually. No doubt she’ll still be quite sore.

“Oh… Are we done? Sorry, sorry…” Gwen stepped away from the giant then, pulling her sword out of his hand. She hadn’t been vicious with it, so it was a clean cut… She wondered if pain or damage was much of a thing for these guys if they were, like, ghosts or something. “You okay, dude? Oh wait! Elesis!” She looked over to Elesis then, and went over to her. “C’mon, we won! Let’s get a move on now, okay! No time to lay around in the dirt.” She offered a hand to her, and looked over at Anthem. “Are we gonna have to do more of that? Because, like, wow, this is hard to do without, like. guns.”

Slowly he got back up to both feet, limping heavily as he put away his katana. “Collect your allies and proceed into the Tower. Your party will be restored to full strength before your next test.” Then he bowed towards Anthem, then slowly moved away. “Come along Jiroubo, before those mortals really put you down.” The giant was fuming angry, staring intently at Gwen and Elesis in turn before saying. “If you think we were hard? We were just the doormen. Prepared to get tested girly, in ways you might not expect.” Then with a enigmatic chuckle, both of the spirits shifted into colorful and shapeless forms before spiriting away.

Anthem would have bowed her head back towards the spirit of her ancestor, what a unique opportunity to clash swords with a vision of her great(x7) grandfather. Though for now she scooped up the ninjato and ran over to Elesis as well. “Yes, Gwen. I imagine that the reason previous Scion’s set these conditions for me to sharpen my basics. If you don’t wish to continue, I’d understand.” Then she’d take a knee alongside Elesis. “The spirit I was fighting said we’d be restored if we entered the Tower. So I’ll bring you there first, then back to Hellifyno if you so wished.”

Elesis (Mystery) Sieghart

“Am I dead yet?” She grumbled still disoriented as they both came to her. She took Gwen’s hand with her left barely really grabbing on with how numb it still felt. Getting to her feet was a challenge indeed, but she did with the help given. “Ah. Come on…” She mumbles with a stupid grin on her face. “This was nothing. L-Let’s continue.” Her head reveals itself to be bleeding a bit, but she’s going to get healed when inside, so it’s a win win, right? “Onward.” Her head lolls a bit to the side as she leans onto Gwen with a hmph. “I came in with ya. I’ll go out with ya. Now, get me fucking healed.”

Gwen Poole

“Aww, don’t be mad! It was just, like, a formality, dude.” Gwen pouted at Jiroubo. “I mean, it isn’t like you should be mad that we beat you after you were so tough…” But, she guessed some people were sore losers. Seeing Anthem come over, she shook her head. “No, I’m with you, as long as you need me. A bit of ‘restoration’ sounds good to me.” She sorely flexed her shoulders a little. “I think I bruised, like, the entire everything of my back…” She did her best to help keep Elesis standing, even though they’d both taken a heavy smack from a giant. It was probably just bubbly spirits, youth, and the power of devoted friendship that kept Gwen standing.

“Let us step forward then.” The Scion stated, getting up and dusting off her clothes. The girls could see several dozen cuts to Anthem’s forearms, cutting through both her gi and bandages She stepped to the side and picked up Elesis’ weapon, then stepped around to collect all the knives before returning back. “Don’t wanna leave these lying around, you’ll never see them again.” This wasn’t Anthy’s first rodeo in the spirit world, and would be her last. Now moving forward towards the entrance to the Tower, the double massive doors swung inwards to grant the party entry. The interior of the the building was beautifully crafted walls with statues of fallen warriors in them, heroes of Hellifyno ranging back eons and going all the way up. The bottom floor of the tower was constructed in two levels, on the bottom level was a large water fountain that constantly arced aqua in all directions artistically. Behind the fountain was a wall of wood that went up 20 feet high, and on either side of the fountain was a staircase that zigzagged up its length. “Oh. Well. That looks pleasing. Atleast.”

Oof. Time to move. Ow… At least Anthem got her weapon for her. What a good Scion she is. Man, Elesis is light headed. She’s ready for some healing juices or whatever. Off they go however, moving forward into the building between those giant doors. Elesis is practically being carried by Gwen. Her limps were pitiful. Hell, they were mostly just her barely dragging her feet forward. “Remind me to not let a giant kick me like 20 feet into the air without tucking, rolling, and having magical powers.” She grunts seeing the fountain. Oh, yeah, It’s a pleasing sight, but it doesn’t help her not hurt. And, really?! Stairs?! That’s an impossible task for her right now. “Where do I get my health pack?” She mumbles.

“Oh, noted!” Gwen collected the daggers back from Anthem and tucked them back onto her belt, sheathing her ninjatos once more, too. Helping Elesis along as much as she could, after they made it inside, Gwen just… oggled everything. “Whaaaat… this is kind rad.” The fountain was especially pretty! The kind that made you want to just splash around in it even though you were just supposed to flip a coin in… Though she doubted coin flipping was permitted in spirit world fountains, though she wondered if that almost guaranteed a wish would be granted…
