Scene: Hellifyno’s Moon, a waning crescent fang of white in the midnight night above the surface of the planet. But out in space, the moon is a hotbed of activity. Sensors may have trouble detecting the exact nature of this action, with distortion fields hiding all but the most vague details, but the detectors turned towards it can tell that there are ships in play, many ships, hundreds, taking off from the surface of the moon and then shooting out, headed in every direction. Others, return from missions unknown. This is not unusual for the colony except in the sudden volume, and of course, in the focus, for now a larger force of several dozen objects of indeterminate size, have launched and are headed inwards, past Hellifyno and Planet II, deep into the core of the Solar System, their determined trajectory being Planet I, the smallest, but most metal rich of all of the worlds. It’s impossible to tell how many ships exactly. It’s less than 100, your scientists and astrologers agree on that, but more than 50, and their exact size alludes any conclusion. They could be larger destroyers, or smaller frigates. Thus is the nature of the distortion field. To obscure, to refract and reflect and create illusions of to distract, making the moving armada ever more oppressive in its unknown might and power, as it quickly traverses the space between the orbits of the major orbs of this silent dance of endless night. The only thing that is known is its target. The world of metal and ore, the planet of living mercury and flowing steel, the world of minerals, ready to be plundered.

Throughout, Olde Watch, keepers of the moon, maintain strict radio silence. No communications with the city states. No broadcasts, no missives to the other colonies in the solar system. They move with autonomy that is neither illegal nor in their eyes immoral, towards their manifest destiny, towards their ultimate salvation.

The further that the small armada, if such it can be called with so few details, makes it from the planet Hellifyno, the more obscure it gets. On sensors and scryings they seem to become more remote. Less a collection of blobs and more a mass in the dark. As they pass the Nymph colony of Plant II they are little registered, the pleasure palace not knowing or caring for war. And the small Rosha mining colony on planet I may have a closer look, but their detectors aren’t nearly as sensitive as those on the Hellifyno and so for this brief period, the fleet is for all intents and purposes, invisible. They travel, their trajectory secured, but their nature, their make up, and their actions hidden behind waves of distortion, distance, and the natural anomalies of Hellifynian space. All that is known is that they quickly approach their destination, and one other vaguely gleamed fact. There seems to be a formation developing. It is more a theory amongst those watching, conveyed to leaders, but with caveats and disclaimers. “The mathematical simulations show the possibility of a battle formation. But we can’t be sure. Everything is jumping around.” And so the steady pace of the Olde Watch ships travels through space and makes their way with ready ease towards a new goal.

Onboard the Gabe-I-El hiding in the moon’s shadow while the stealth drive was active, a warning klaxon ripped through the ship as multiple detection systems went off to alert the Kishimoto Captain to the movement of the Watch /fleet/ if that’s what is was. [Ma’am. Optical distortion is being used, exact numbers can not be calculated.] “Shitshitshit! Guess diplomacy failed. Whelp, here we go. Gaia, engage protocol SOUNDTHEALARM.” She didn’t even get to have the drink that sat on the counter before she was running out of lounge and up into her room, climbing the latter faster than taking the lift. Once she made it to her room, the Captain went to don her armor as her omni-tool computer went to contact those of her alliance. The Paracosm Queen., the CEO of ALL Corp, the head of the MSF, the Scion of Hellifyno. Gaia contacted the Rosy Avenger herself, calling her to the Bridge. The Gabe moved closer to the planet of Hellifyno while keeping its self, on DEFCON 1, Red Alert.

Where was the Rosy Avenger, the Pink Champion? She was snoozing, until Gaia woke her up. “Whuzzaaaahhhp…” To the Bridge? Well, Gwen hopped up, since this all seemed rather goshdarn important, and got dressed, washed her face, and was combing her hair as she got to the Bridge she’d been requested to show up on. “What’s going on, something big?”

A message beeps in from an ALL Corp communications device from the Queen of Paracosm. She sounds very frustrated. “Oy, do I look like I can get into space that easily? Just prepare for part 1 of information bombardment!”

[Ma’am. The Olde Watch forces have mobilized. They haven’t acted violently yet, but local STARS indicate that they are at the furthest planet for unknown reasons.] Kurai quickly got into her armor and went down to the Bridge, the helmet coming up over her suit so she could communicate better across the connection. “I can go get you, your highness. Bring you right onboard.” Kurai nodded towards Gwen and motioned her over to the Helm. Taking seat behind the reigns, the Gabe moved at 2/3rd forward, as fast as it could go without breaking stealth. “Unless you’d rather remain ground side.” In ten minutes or so, the invisible, undetected by any normal means stealth frigate parked itself in high orbit over the planet; in geosynchronous orbit with the island of Paracosm.

It doesn’t take long to cross the murky realms of two planets orbits in space. In truth the Watchers could have used warp or FTL to make the trip, making this expedition, as hazy as it is, a symbolic and political move. A show of force across the solar system. You do not know what force they bring, but they are bringing it in abundance, and you do not know what power they have, but they are exerting it in as obscured a visible manner as possible. Olde Watch is a power, and that is being displayed across the very star filled sky itself. As they approach Planet I, the attack formation dissipates into one of concentrated occupation. They become a net, a siege set over a section of the world, moving in its lonely orbit and yet giving yield to any satellites or stones that may break that field. They have alighted around the face of the world opposite to the Hephaestus mining colony, the only colony to yet make a permanent residence on this planet, and now, scanning devices can be detected, rushing over the surface, various beams measuring and sensors strafing the line of the surface of this metallic realm. Meanwhile, no aggressive act has been carried out. There is a sense of defense to the distorted nature of their small hordes form, but nothing offensive. And through it all, radio silence is maintained.

“Alright.. wait, what, Paracosm? Okay, give me a moment. You! Make sure everyone here on planet is at alert, in case they attack us while we’re distracted with space shenanigans!” The signal cuts off.

Magicia would now be in Paracosm, boarding the ship with a few dozen robomaids.

On the planets surface, sitting and meditating underneath the Tree of Life was the Child of Light. Crimson eyes opened as she sensed something was afoot. Moments later, the cellphone Kurai insisted she take went off. Getting to her feet, the Scion answered the call. It was weird listening to almost herself, Gaia explaining the situation above. She nodded informed, then hung up the phone. Activating her portal coin, Anthem crossed into the city of Persistence to start making sure everyone was properly warned and ready.

Kaitos ship had been in stealth mode on the dark side of the moon. He had been sitting there examining the Artifacts he had found the other day when and alert went over his ships come. “Sir there seem to be activity.” He heard it and made his way to his ships bridge. “What’s going on?” He said as they put up what was happening on the monitor for him. “For now let’s sit here. We can’t do anything until we know that their is actually violence happening, for now all crew get to their battle stations, this is a code red, I repeat code red.” He said over his coms so his entire ship could hear.

The distorted mass that is the Olde Watch group distorts once more, opening up like wings unfolding from a butterfly, at least that’s how it looks on the scry scopes and telebeams of those who watch from the ships that surround. And as this thing, this shape of many ships opens, they flatten, becoming an opaque web which stretches across an inconsequential amount of space itself. However, to the surface of the smallest of the worlds, the First world, it is several hundred miles, and in that opaque formation, an order is given. An order, which is not obscured, which is left loud to be heard by anyone listening, anyone following the movements of this fleet. “In accordance with the edicts of the HellifynoSpace Expansion Program, Olde Watch claims its colony upon Planet I. And as such, we claim the right to protect and govern said colony with all of the force of our might.” And then, a bombardment rains down upon the planet. No citizen of Hellifyno is there. The only other colony is on the other side of the world. And yet, Olde Watch rains fire down upon the surface of the world, eradicating the metallic life, the chrome and silver monsters, the beasts of mineral that live on the surface, directly beneath their attack. They melt the very surface of the world, but only for a few feet, just enough to loosen and release the rich and precious resources that have sunk far denser and deep beneath the surface of this land. It is an attack that kills hundreds, maybe thousands of beings. But most are low to no sentience. They are animals, creatures of metal that had to be exterminated, in order that progress, be made.

The one other colony, the Outpost Michael, is similarly distant. Not one citizen of Hellifyno is harmed. It is just hundreds of metallic native beasts that are slaughtered as they c”cleanse” the land.

Magicia’s ship arrives to dock, and the queen quickly rushes out to join Kurai, shouting for status reports as she goes. “Those bastards…”

00:11AM
Kurai keyed the commands as the friendly ship came towards them, having to drop her stealth for the Queen and her robomaid guard to board her craft. “Welcome aboard the Gabe-I-El, your majesty.” The Captain greeted her at the airlock, then guided her into the Bridge. “What should we do? They aren’t technically acting hostile… Yet. But it’s only a matter of time. Randall and Aero aren’t answering my hail either, so I’m guessing it’s just us for now.” The Captain brought up a holographic galaxy map, with the unknown Watch force swarming the first atmosphere-less planet.

00:15AM
She doesn’t answer right away, just glaring up at the map with a furrowed brow. It seems her attempts for preparations could only do so much. Is there any helping for the planet when no one here has any claim to it? “… Those are a bunch of valuable resources they’re getting… but we don’t have anything at the colony, do we? If we initiate an attack for a planet that isn’t ours, things could get really bad… Still. How many planets do we have claims on? I have a claim on Planet Nine, on a part that survived the initial blast that broke off that planetoid..”

Gwen Poole

00:16AM
“That’s TOTALLY hostile!” Gwen was also watching. “They’re shooting at the planet and claiming it! All those creatures…” She had a sour expression on her face as she thought things over. “…They’re claiming it. Guys, what if they just… spread themselves out so much that it’d be hard to attack them on any front all at once? Who else has ships like this on Hellifyno that can match that we know of?” She looked at Magicia and Kurai for answers. “Because this seems like… like… like how the evil empire spreads its seeds so far that if you cut off one head, there’s at least two more ready to take its place and make a First Order.”

Now that the surface has been ‘sanitized’ by fire, the colonization can begin. Small objects break off from the great distorted mass that is the horde revealing themselves as raptor ships, small single person vessels descending into the orbit to ready the land. Down below, the few of the metallic beasts large enough to survive are pulverized, while the land is stabilized, molten cores of value being secured and heated, areas less precious being cooled to solid state for landing and settlement. In some places, the metal itself is magnetically manipulated to form the bases of what will one day be great defensive structures, while caves are also dug by electromagnetic means to create caves and bunkers under the densest of the materials, to create powerful enclaves against siege and strafe. Slowly, the land, a 15 mile radius, as indicated by the Hellifyno Space Decree, is made into the base of a fortress of iron and steel, a completely legal endeavour by the People’s Republic of Olde Watch.

“Sir their bombarding the planets, should we do something” Kaito was watching his screen intensely as his clones were anxious. “Not yet, it’s best we wait till the right moment.” He waved at them trying to get them to calm down. He was clearly planning out his first move, he saw this like a chess match. The first move he makes could easily turn things in either direction.

“What do you expect us to do, Gwen!? Everything they’re doing is, disgustingly, technically legal!”

“Who gives a shit about legality?! People use rules to do bad stuff just as much as they KEEP people from doing bad stuff!”

“And there’s nothing we can do about it. Thanks to Olde Watch themselves…” Kurai thought back to when this all started, the great space expansion and that silly fake company that started it all; that was just the Watchers in disguise. She too felt bad for the wanton destruction of life going on, looking to the other women on her ship and seeing similar looks. “Kishimoto incorporated has assets on that planet, but they aren’t reporting any damages…. We’re also stationed on Miranda. Around planet 7.”

^Seemingly out of nowhere, out pops Sass. She jumps out of the shadows and poses with her arms out and her feet shoulder width apart. Her eyes are wide and she starts to flail. She then notices that she’s on Kaito’s ship. She has no idea how she got there but surprise! She then turns to the side and does cartwheels over to the bridge before she then clears her throat and walks over to Kaito. She then just stands there^ So what are we doing? ^She asks Kaito^

No further information accompanies the broadcast. No means to contact senate or their commander. No means to initiate the conference. Only the promise, that the peace accords will come. As soon as accommodations are made.

Anthem caught the broadcast from within the home of a couple that lived in Persistence, that she was escorting out and into the bunkers. She stopped in place, her heart beating quickly as she heard her name from the TV. The Parley had been accepted? But she’d had to walk into the heart of hostile territory with nothing but a promise of peace. She sighed loudly, then headed out the home as she opened her phone again and connected directly with the Gabe-I-El, her face appearing as a small hologram on the Bridge. “That…Was unexpected. I don’t imagine that I’ll be heading there alone, right?”

Kaito having caught the signal sighed. He looked to Sassy. “Apparently Nothing right now, not until I know weather or not this peace talk is true or false.” She could see a group of red blips on his ships radar and far from them were twenty purple blips. “That mass of red there is Olde Watch” he explained to Sassy, as for the purple he wasn’t saying. He had a small group of his fleet positioned to move in if he needed to make a move. Though for now they would stay out of Olde Watches radar.

The probe ships, the raptors, the landers, they increase in number as the surface of thee Watcher Colony on Planet I takes further shape. Walls are built from molten steel, diamite is woven through melt and mold into those walls to reinforce them, even as they climb above caverns that are impenetrable bunkers of metallic strength. Beyond that, wells of precious metals, gold and silver platinum and iovine are cultivated by robotic hovering beings that set in place the proper facilities to harvest the great wealth of this world. But all is within the initial 15 mile delineations of the treaties of Hellifynos Space expansion, though signs are evident that they will soon expand, also in accord with those same treaties. At that same time, the blur that is the fleet or colony of Olde Watch in space, distorted still by their obscuration fields, begins to shoot more of their larger ships down. Colony ships, alight among the newly formed glass of the metal world. The creatures ded in mass begin to be harvested and set aside, the structures rise, the caves dive, the great fortress that is Watcher I begins to take shape, and though the work is slow, it is hours, not days, that see the formation of this new great colony of might.

“Still… our resources are sparse as it is. We don’t have enough power to take on the moon base, much less several…” She groans. Aero was the idea guy. She only fleshes ideas out once they’re brought up. “.. Anthem, they called for you alone, but we can’t let you go solo… I don’t know if I should accompany you, given I’m one of their main targets right now…”

Oooh! This should be fun! A possible trap. Watch, it’s gonna fall through. It’s Hellifyno and all but it’ll be nice if it was. Okay, so the red dot is Olde Watch but where’s us on the map? ^She says as she starts to study the map. She wraps an arm around Kaito’s arm as they talk and wait^ I also wonder what’s going on currently since I’m late for this shindig.

Ships descend as Planet I has been colonized by Olde Watch, their flag flies, their pumps drill, and their refineries draft toxins into the air. The land around them is a wasteland, devoid of the vibrant metallic life that once lived here , and already, they are starting to expand. Nothing in any treaty stops them from expanding once upon the surface of a world and so they do, quickly spreading out across the metallic landscape, claiming as many of the vital precious ore spots as they can, fueling the construction of greater fleet, larger defenses, and a more ready and able war machine.
