(A big thank you to meriem, and kaler for allowing me to post this. It is only one small step in the direction of getting twine in space. Love you guys!! Let see what comes next!!)

Kida Le Morte

*somewhere on planet 6, a portal was opening and from it came teddies, dressed down in little astronaut suits and carrying chunks of metal. Two by two they came out. Setting all the metal on the ground. From here they would spread out searching for the best place to set up as more teddies came through and waited to begin part one of the plans from the mother. The bubble dome…..*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

Long before her little adventures started sending her to the world of Hellifyno, Meriem had gotten accustomed to ending up in weird places… But this? This was weirder than anything she’d experienced before, that much she was sure of. One moment, she’s running with a herd of trihorns for good exercise, and the next, just as she was in the middle of jumping off a small cliff and free-fall… There’s a change. Light vanishes, as does the air, and she tumbles faster, faster, and faster through a void that is bone-chilling and yet makes her feel like she’s on the verge of lighting on fire! And then, as quickly as that moment passed, air came back, atmosphere, and ground was rushing up to meet her… only whatever ground it was wasn’t the ground she’d been meaning to land on only seconds before. She hit HARD, rolled, tumbled, and then struck her head against something very, very firm, causing her teeth to click together, and darkness found her…

But only for a few moments. The Cavewoman was built of stubborn materials, and it took more than a blow to the head at near terminal velocity to knock her out for more than a few minutes. GASPING in air, she sat up, and gingerly touched the back of her head. Tender, yes, but no blood. Good. Shaky legs found purchase on the sand underneath her feet, and she rose slowly to look up… Wherever she was, it was daytime, and yet there was something about the sun… And then, even more of note, something about the SAND. SAND? She was surrounded by SAND. An ocean of it, burning hot underneath her feet, and sweat was fast clinging to her skin in this heat. Covering her eyes, she looked around. Completely and utterly unfamiliar… This would be a challenge, that much was clear.

While she wouldn’t have any knowledge of this herself, Meriem was in fact on a desert region of Planet VI, wandering through a desert that was, in fact due to not having had the chance yet, uncharted. None of her usual survival instincts had ever applied to this kind of environment; she grew up in dense jungles, rainforests, pine, swamps… This? This was near as she’d ever been to seeing… nothing. She moved well enough, not sluggishly, but slowly just because she was unsure of herself. “HELLO?!” She screamed out into howling winds that suddenly seemed to be picking up… Of course, no reply. Not yet. But, even in the glare of the sun off the sand… There was something… On the horizon? Now that she had enough height from this dune, she could see something she didn’t quite understand in front of her. And so she headed that way.

Kida Le Morte

*wandering in the desert one of the scout teddies spotted another fall to the surface, slowly it waddled over within the astronaut suit. Hearing her call out “hello” made the teddy take out a piece of paper and begin to flail it over its head as it moved along*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

How could she anticipate seeing a teddy in an astronaut suit? It was odd enough, the sudden and violent transition from home to here, and then to see something she’d never even seen in a children’s book when she was younger just out here in the middle of nowhere with her. Her eyes saw far, but once she was close enough, Meriem came sprinting at the teddy full force, and reached him in no time at all. Skidding to a stop, she panted for a moment… “…Hi?”

Kida Le Morte

*the teddy wrote on the paper, only after shaking off the sand that accumulated once the woman stopped skidding* “hello, my name is 034427, but you call me 27” *it stopped and flipped the paper around before writing more* “is the lady lost?”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“I am VERY lost. VERY extremely lost.” Meriem looked around the desert again. “I… this is a desert, right? I haven’t been to one like this before.” She looked at the teddy then. “Can you help me, 27? Please tell me you aren’t lost, too…” She needed a heading. Or some shade. She might take shade before a heading unless the heading was towards shade.

Kida Le Morte

*the teddy nodded and offered a suited paw to her as it then began to turn around, walking back the way it came as it pulled her along. It was a slow process as teddies dont have big steps but eventually they wpuld reach some cover of what was possibly a jungle* “we go this way ok.” *another note written to the lady*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Thank you, 27. Can call me ‘Meriem’.” Or it could ‘write’ her Meriem? If only because this was the only thing around and Meriem herself was rather innately trusting, she took 27’s paw and walked with him. This was loads better; while she wasn’t close to panic, she had begun to think about what she might have to do to survive out here… if survival was even possible. But her eyes could already see something ahead that was familiar, and she was more and more assured even if the journey was slow.

Kida Le Morte

*once they got to the jungle the teddy stopped, pulled out a folded piece of paper and then looked around* “we go this way, get to twine portal meriam” *it nodded a bit but then pulled out a jug of water for her* “is you hungry”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

Naturally curious, Meriem was tempted to just go off into this odd jungle, and yet… She was still rather lost, and decided against it. Instead, she paid attention to 27. “Twine portal?” It was less a question than a statement. Wasn’t that a place back on Hellifyno? That might be more familiar, at least. More important, however, was the gift of water. “Oh goodness, thank you!” She dumped water over her head first, and then into her mouth, drinking just enough to satisfy her thirst, before handing back. “I’m good on food, but thank you, 27, for the water. Much ‘preciated.”

Kida Le Morte

*it nodded once more* “i am a scout teddy, would you like to join me instead? I can provide food an water if you do want to” *then it reached up and pushed a button on its suit as it began to hiss and release from its tiny plush body*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“A scout teddy? What are you scoutin’, partner?” She looked at the suit. “What’s with the get-up? Got you all dressed like a spaceman.” She squatted close to the ground for a moment, resting her legs without fully sitting down. Her eyes cut over to the forest again, eyes narrowing as she tried to take in the details. Things were… odd. “The heck is this place?”

Kida Le Morte

“This is planet 6, me along with a few others are scouting the grounds for the best place to set up a wildlife and research center for the new creatures that are lurking here… along with other things…” *the words were written smaller than before then another piece of paper* “the suit was precautionary, as we did not know what kind of air was here…” *it turned and looked around too before glancing back to her*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Planet 6?” She scratched her head a little. Planet 6? “…I’m on another whole dadgum planet?” Her mind was, to put it simply, blown. She combed her wet hair back over her shoulders as she looked up at the teddy, thoroughly astonished. “I… I see. I don’t…” She took a breath in, and then exhaled. She was breathing fine herself, but… “So… you’re an actual spaceman, then, 27, with a buncha others, pokin’ about on a planet. Man… I’m far from home.”

Kida Le Morte

“We are twine scouts. Madame kida, the mother of twine island sent us, we need to find a good location to set up the bubble dome then from there we can work on building the research and wildlife center” *it nodded again* “and we are not space men, we are the space teddies..”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Oh, yeah, teddy. Sorry ’bout that.” She smiled apologetically, and then stood up. “So this Twine island, that’s back there on Hellifyno? I’ve got lost down there like I’ve got lost… ‘up’ here? I’m…” Meriem had to admit, she didn’t know anything at all about space, other than that it was… there, and other planets were out in it. One consequence of not having finished grade school. “Man, I am all turned ’round, don’t know which way is up. Need to find my bearings…” Locking her gaze on 27, though. “Well, 27, you helped me, so I figure I could least help you out just a tiny tiny bit, if I can. You need a place to set up some kinda… house?”

Kida Le Morte

*the teddy nodded again* “yes, twine island is on the main planet, that is where kida is, as for help. Yes again. We need help finding our…home away from home….” *then a small beep would trigger as the teddy was getting a small message, a small piece of paper was then spit out of its collapsed suit only to read “we found it 27, a good place. Follow directions. Come now” looking up to the lady* “seems the other space teddies found a place… shall we go then?”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“I lived in places not too unlike this my whole life, basically. Whatever works there might work here… I hope.” Hearing the beep, she looked at the piece of paper that the suit spat out… and she chuckled a little. If there were more of these things, and they only communicated by written messages? That was… both weird and adorable. “Lead the way, 27, I’ll follow along.”

Kida Le Morte

*it nodded and then  began to walk away, and in twine teddy fashion as ot walked, its little paws would squeak with each step. The further they walked  the denser the jungle? Forest? Savannah? Whatever was seemed to be clearing out a little as more squeaks would soon ring out as a small clearing came into view, teddies seemed to move about here and there, maybe 10 total were there, and shuffling the large metal pieces around* “welcome to the home away from home, these are the other space teddies…” *as soon as the others saw 27 they would flails notes all around reading “no suit!!” “Why are you uncovered!!!” “Whos the lady??!”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

This was all rather… impressive. Given she’d only ever lived in forests, this was a kind of variety that Meriem could only marvel at. The addition of teddies walking around doing hard labor just made it odder in a way that made it almost too surreal to freak her out any further that it was all happening on another planet. Seeing the notes, however, she stepped forward. “No worries, friends. I’m Meriem Cooper. Got a bit… displaced, ain’t here to cause no trouble, cross my heart.”

Kaler Eland

*As if on queue to the arrival of 27 and Meriem, the portal that brought the teddies here in the first place seemed to glow a faint gold for a moment, before through it stepped a new figure, this time not a teddy; this time it was Kaler! The 6 foot sun boi was carrying what seemed to be another large bundle of metal pieces, perhaps ones that the rather flailing teddies couldn’t carry due to the weight. No suit for him either; not that he actually needed one in space, but gladly he was told this planet was breathable, and warm enough despite the sun being so far away* Ah, m-made it. Ohh, so this is what it’s like on the…. *He seemed to pause at how much the teddies were flailing, before his eyes found Meriem. They found a….borderline naked woman here? Strange, but he went to address himself anyway* H-hey! D-did you come along to explore here too?

Kida Le Morte

*they waved and then went back to work as one of the other teddies came up* “me name 038966, call 66… you helps?” *27 looks to meriem and just shrugged* “is up to you, if you wants to help” *looking to kaler, 27 waved* “did madame send you too kaler?!?”

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Nice meetin’ you, 66. I’ll pitch in as a thanks for your buddy 27 here findin’ me wanderin’ out in some desert. Least I could do, hmm?” It was the most she could think to do in order to repay their kindness, at least. Her eyes took note of someone else arriving, however, and it just… surprised her. “Oh, hullo there.” She waved to the young man. “I ain’t come here on purpose, believe you me, but I found some good company in these here teddies.” He seemed to know this lot, which meant he was probably from Hellifyno.

Kaler Eland

*Kaler took note of 27, and offered a friendly salute in return. He didn’t yet know well of the different numbers, but oh well, he knew them well enough on their own* S-she did yeah, told me to bring some of the things you guys couldn’t lift. *That pile seemed to be a mix of heavy construction parts, and electrical equipment, perhaps for installing proper measures within the main structure itself, once the time came. Now back to Meriem; Kaler nodded, and tried his hardest to keep the eyes focused; poor timid one he were* Y’ello, o-oh I see, n-no worries really. I-I come from where they do too, living on Twine a-and all. *He looked back towards 27 and the others for a moment* S-so this’ll be the general build site right?

Kida Le Morte

*27 nodded* “bubble dome will go up here, but we need to set the 4 stations in order for it to rise up. But other than that, thats all we need for now…” *then the teddy looked to meriem* “if you ever need anything find me on twine” *then 27 would disappear into a portal*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“I’ll make a note to keep a look out for ya if I end up lost, 27. Take care!” She waved to the teddy as he went through the portal, before turning her attention to the young man. “Twine is back on Hellifyno, right?” Meriem was doing her best to get her bearing… the idea of being on a whole other planet? It was taking a moment to sink in. “See, sometimes I get a bit… lost. Very lost. And I ain’t quite sure how I got THIS lost. Said we was on… A planet called Six? That like the number or the name or… what?”

Kaler Eland

Righty, g-guess we’ll get to that when we’re properly set up. See you! *He saluted to the teddy, as it vanished through that portal back home. He then went back to Meriem; she quickly came across as the type of person who, to Kaler’s limited knowledge of her, didn’t know much about space. Or was it just being on another planet? Or…both?* Lost? L-like….teleportation lost? *Either way, he could tell she was confused, and he could assume she were if she was just, well, suddenly here after being on Hellifyno…strange* Y-yup, Twine is back on Hellifyno. T-this planet is the 6th out of the 9 that are in this area of the Galaxy. I um…not sure if it has an actual name, s-so I guess we call it 6 for now… *He shrugged lightly; it did bare resemblance and order number to Saturn, but was vastly different from the original gas giant*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Ain’t watched television in years, not since I was a kid. Figure maybe if I’d have watched more, might’ve been LESS lost, but I watched cartoons mostly, not nothin’ educational…” She totally confused what he’d said with something else. But she listened closely to what he said. “Six outta nine? So its just the number of planets, then. I gotcha.” She looked at the sky for a moment, squinting. “And, uh… which one of those am I supposed to be gettin’ back to? The one that’s Hellifyno? Is it close?”

Kaler Eland

Ahh…r-righty, that makes sense….I-I was always into random facts and such, s-so I wound up watching more documentaries and such… *Not to say he didn’t enjoy cartoons or others, simply found facts to be more overall “interesting” to let his eyeballs view during his younger days. He figured she might be more confused at that, though gladly not too much so* Mhm, for now at least….I-I dunno if we’re supposed to name them or….y-yeah… *He too glanced upwards, to view the surprisingly bright sky, again despite the Sun being quite far off* Ah, Hellifyno is number three, b-but luckily we still have the portal open here. *He pointed to just a little away from him, where the swirling circle of purple lightly hovered and spun, revealing a gateway back to an island area* T-through there you’ll get to Twine, then from there y-you’ll be able to make it home to wherever. *He said, letting himself smile gently*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“I see…” So she was… three planets away from where she usually ended up. Strange. And somewhat frightening. “Been lost before, but just… ain’t never been THIS lost.” She stood there with her hands on her hips for a moment, staring at her feet as she tried to sort through her thoughts. She was lucky this time, it seemed… But she didn’t want this to happen again. Oh sure, maybe coming back HERE wouldn’t be awful? There was just the chance that she might end up further off in the desert. Or somewhere worse than a desert within walking distance to friendly teddies and boys. “Least I know I can get somewhere familiar and then find my way back thataways…”

Kaler Eland

*He nodded gently in response to that* R-riiight, that’s understandable. B-being this far from home is a bit mind-blowing I guess. *Course to him it’s less so, since he could get through Space in a manner of ways, but for her? Definitely so* I-I’m pretty sure back on Hellifyno, you could try getting a “Portal Coin” from somewhere like Red Sun; i-it’d help to make these things, *Gesturing to the Portal again*, t-to help you get around places easier; pretty sure y-you could get back to Hellifyno easier then… *Though with her attire as it was, he doubted she could carry a portal coin with her. Well, with things seeming sorted, Kaler thought about perhaps moving back to work on a few things here and there, organize some of the construction materials etc; writer too was a bit tired as it were 2am, so they might clock out soon* S-so um…y-you can make your way back whenever, I’m staying for a bit t-to organize these things and such…..- O-oh, what was your name by the way? Mine’s Kaler. *He also offered his hand to shake if she accepted*

Meriem Cooper – CAVEWOMAN

“Put ‘er there, Kaler!” Meriem shook his hand enthusiastically. “Name’s Meriem, good to be meetin’ ya and them teddies. Maybe the friendliest folk I run into in a bit since I been gettin’ myself misplaced.” She didn’t know what he much meant about portal coins and all that, but all the same, she appreciated the advice. “I’ll try to make my way on home, then, get out your hair. Thank ya again, you, your teddy friends, everyone.” She looked at the portal now, hesitantly eyeballing it… But she decided to go ahead and step on through.

Kaler Eland

*And so he shook it in return!, chuckling a little at the enthusiasm the woman held, returning it with a smile* N-nice to have met you also Meriem. A-aheh, well I’m glad we’ve made a good impression. *That’s one of Kaler’s prime goals anyway, he really just wants to be on good terms with whoever will accept him to be* Righty, s-stepping through the portal is safe, then on your way from there. S-see you! *He waved as she departed. Once he was left alone, he spent the rest of his time there organizing specific parts and tech into piles, in preparation for the future construction of this dome. Twine was reaching for the stars!*
