The Batman Who Laughs

The wormy body would be met with the razor sharp teeth of a green haired, gremlin’-like monstrosity, leashed by a chain. Said little green monster, adorned in the clothing of robin tried to snap at the creature that wiggles toward Kirk, almost as if trying to take a bite out of it’s flesh. Appearing out of seemingly nowhere, but a small, purple, almost black rift in space that closes just as quickly, leaving behind a twin of the child-like demented robin and a man dressed in all black leather, with metallic needles covering his eyes as a sort of headgear. Pointed ears cover his head in a cowl, but a twisted, malnourished smile upon his lip grows into a slight, psychopathic giggle that breaks the silence after the portal fades. From behind this man, another demented, child-robin would slip through his legs, making for three of the children, drooling slightly with smiles just as crazed as the look in their eyes to stare at the worm creature as if they were hungry. “Vacation? I love vacations. I am invited as well…right?” He said, appearing behind Kida, a serpent like tongue slipping from his mouth to run over the mouth without lips, torn off to show grotesque shark-like teeth.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk is, unfortunately, sitting down when the new arrival appears: since he’s sitting near right beside Kida. This was, not what he had planned. FORCE CLOAK is always activated. Now that would have to be dropped for: FORCE IMMUNITY, FORCE BARRIER AND PROTECTION BUBBLE, AROUND, everyone. Kida, to Kara, to Himself. Kirk rose to standing, trying to put some distance between the giggling creature: while his face twisted in confusion. “And who are you?” If Kirk wasn’t stopped along the way, that is?

Kara Zor-El

Kara smiled with the words from Kida. “‘I’m glad you’re helping and that you seem happy about doing it, too.” It was nice to see. So was the scene with Kirk and the worm-blob. Rather cute, in a sense. However – the peacefully and calm discussion was being interrupted by three… things. Grotesque ones, at that. Kara stood up at this point. Now, she didn’t doubt Kida’s abilities in terms of defending herself. Yet she would still protect her and also Kirk. Once again – not because she doubted his abilities. Kara, now within the protection of a barrier and bubble, was now next to Kida, so slightly behind Kirk.

The Batman Who Laughs

His head tilted slightly, seeing the bubble erected. One of the robin gremlins that were on his chained leash would hop forward, attempting to crash directly into it with a rather demented wanderlust about his movements. He did little to stop his little pet as he had a feeling what would happen. That disturbed laughter came once more, in unison with the leashed crazed children. “Now…now…I am a friend. I am The Batman.” He raised his hands in a sort of monumental manner, as if trying to show off how grandiose he was, just before cackling violently, and grinding teeth against bloodied flesh that were his lips. He took a step close, yet not too close as to touch the barrier, he was still analyzing it for the most part. “Hm Hm Hm Hm Hm Hmm” He let his mouth vibrate a little bit, narrowing his eyes on the women for a brief moment. “I am here to save the day, I am the Dark Knight, the caped crusader. He who lives in the shadows, the bat of darkness.” He said, raising his leather coat just slightly with the tip of his fingers.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk narrowed his eyes with every passing step that the demented creature progressed towards where he now stood. Never: Eyes Locked. Kirk glanced to the leashed Robin Creatures and then back to the, “The Dark Knight” He says, “…I never saw you in any comics before, but alright?” Patronizing the thing. “What do you want with me?” Kirk asks, wondering how he can get those Robins freed from its grasp. Side/Glares were NOT provided to Kara. She knows better by now. “And what are you saving us from?”

Kara Zor-El

This had to be a joke. Had to be. He claimed to be Batman. Indeed, Kara knew better by now. There was no eye contact or anything, though she did see enough. The Robins and the one claiming to be Batman. Her arms were folding right now. Listening. To see what he would say. She had never heard of this version of Batman before. Not even in comics. Actually… she didn’t read comics.

The Batman Who Laughs

One of the children robins on the chain looked at Kirk from beyond the bubble that surrounded him. It smiled brightly, before it began furiously banging on the bubble like a madman, determined to break into it almost. Screaming and hollering like the demented child had just been stabbed to death. Quickly enough, he pulls on the chain that was locked about the throat of the Robin, yanking him back to his leg where the child would scramble along with the other two. One of them began furiously tugging on his cloak. “Comics? Comics!?” There was a small demented giggle, grinding his teeth together menacingly as he took another step toward the bubble. “Oh boy, oh boy…I didn’t know the people of this universe were so…” His neck turned to the side, almost looking as if he snapped it. “Uncultured.” He stated, throwing his hands up along with the chains that confined the children. He watched Kida leave, a disturbing snarl erupts from his tiny group. “Bitch, Whore, Skank…” The three Robins call out just as she leaves. “Looks like you boys will have to share your meal tonight.” He spoke hauntingly, looking down at the Robins before speaking toward the duo again. “I am saving you from Me. The Batman.” He began to laugh hysterically, but only for a few moments before he cut himself off to become completely apathetic where he would shed only the smallest of smirks, showing off crusted blood and ravaged teeth. “Also…” He said, tilting his head toward Kara, leaning in until he was just above the bubble. “Is that…who I think it is, Kara Zor-El?” It seems as though he knew who she was at least, but laughed at the realization. “I haven’t seen you since…your corpse was hanging from the edge of The Fortress…HOW JOYOUS.” He bursts with some form of twisted joy, giving a small dance with the green haired robin around him, one jumping on his back.-E-

Captain James T. Kirk

There were issues going on here tonight, it seems. First, Kirk used Kinetite, (Kinetite was a variation on the Force lightning ability. It involved molding “Force energized lightning” into a sphere of restrained kinetic energy which could be thrown at an enemy. Instead of burning or electrocuting its target like most forms of Force lightning, it acted as a solid projectile. Nevertheless, if the target of the kinetite employed the Force defensively, the kinetite could be deflected back to its origin Around (Batman, and the Three Robins), which would keep them ALL TOGETHER in that Kinetic Box, if possible? Next he used FORCE REND, which would REND that chain apart: if possible? Kirk went so far as to use FORCE REND, to those collars around each of those Robins throats: to possibly break them apart? IF POSSIBLE? Now, with the three Robins and the fake batman in that POSSIBLE Kinetite energy filled box, what would happen next? “….Maybe You Need Saving……….From Me”

Kara Zor-El

So now they had to deal with a maniac. Whatever did they do to get all the weirdos to interrupt them? One could wonder. The words the three Robin’s uttered was not something she took kindly to. Kida didn’t deserve such words. Her eyes narrowed ever so slightly at that. Now they were being called uncultured, to bet. It was something famous people would have to get used to due to infinite timelines. He knew who she was. Or knew of a different timeline version of her. What he said was hurtful, sure. But she wouldn’t let mere words get to her. “Go back to where you came from.” Towards the now (possibly) trapped beings within the knitetie box. Here was hoping that the Force powers worked. The Kinetite Box and he Force Rend.

The Batman Who Laughs

As he found said projectiles moving toward him and his little robins, he looked about his sides as he was flanked by the force projectiles. He was laughing considerably hard as he watched, moving his gaze back to the duo before him who seemed to be trying to lock him away. “Oh~ so you are some sort of telepath? Oh that\’s ridiculous, I should have brought Dick, on quite the character, you guys would have loved him!” He states just before he found himself in the kinetite box, his hand already moved toward an area around his belt, a black warp appeared his hand replacing the area with a small circular disk. “I have this friend you know, he helps me with strange things like this, although, luckily I have something that can help me against you mentally folk. Think your mind can help you, but, what happens when your mind is completely shaken and rattled to the core, when your world is broken down and destroyed. I am kind of curious.” He spoke, glancing toward the Rabid robins whose chains would suddenly become broken. He looks down toward his hand that held the chains for a moment, just before looking to the trio. They became dead silent. “Shouldn’t have done that.” He said, laughing hysterically once, allowing the excitement of the event before him to bleed into this lips, dripping blood onto the ground as his device latches onto the material. The moment it comes close to said material, it merges with it’s frequency, allowing it to at the same time meld with it just before a black spark would be released from it, rebounding the energy back to Kirk. He’d notice the projectiles that surrounded him in a box would completely shatter, but his mind feeling the full feedback from the destruction of the projectiles, as if they were literal extensions of himself. Freeing him and the trio thanks to his handy gadget. The moment afterward, the trio were released, rabidly lifted into the air as they jumped about in different directions to try and tear into Kirk’s barrier with a beast-like blood-lust. The children had lost their minds, completely falling into depravity. It seemed Kirk merely had released the beasts onto himself. The Batman simply shrugs his shoulders and giggles slightly, watching and shaking his head. “COME ON NOW, I AM TRYING TO SAVE YOU.” There was a pause. “Look what you’ve done. Who let the dogs out? YOU DID.” He proclaims fiercely. -E-

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk observed this mass of anarchy evolve into. Telepath. Brought Dick? Kirk is thinking that this creature has it in for him, somehow. Always somehow, his presence ruffles up feathers. “You have a friend who helps you?\” Kirk asks, while listening. Shaken. Rattled to The Core. And he just told that Deeply Personal Story to that BATMAN. The BATMAN. Or was it, thee batman. Confusion settles across his features once more. Waiting, it seems for next rock to drop on them. Kirk’s breathing even changed with how technologically advanced this….Batman Creature truly IS. *Shouldn’t have done?—* “AAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Kirk yells, placing his hands over his ears on either side of his head, then bending down as to waist level while he closed his eyes…Taking IN all of that pain, that torment! “AAahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!” Although the gloves were telepathically coming off as he used FORCE REND on HIS LEASHED CHILDREN. To what? To Destroy them from the inside out. Guts. Brain matter. Bones. Cartilage. Heart. To put them out of their misery! IF possible? If those actions were allowed? The Bubble would remain sturdy! Although Kirk was in a tremendous amount of HEAD-ACHE PAIN. Panting. Hands still over his ears, “So You Are…”

Kara Zor-El

Kara noticed the pain and screaming from Kirk. So she used her speed to end up in-front of him. Even if he used those Force powers on the three Robins, she would take no chances. Kara utilized her Heat Vision, creating a beam, going from on Robin to the other (unless they somehow avoided it). Said beam was strong enough to cut through give or take anything as if it were butter. Added to the fact it was also forceful, which either sent their body pieces flying. Or just the Robins, depending on if they deflected said beam somehow. She was concerned for Kirk. As always. But right now they had to deal with the rabid ones. He would be okay. Kirk was strong.

The Batman Who Laughs

He watched in complete ecstasy as Kirk had his breakdown from the backlash. He giggled and chortled maddeningly, but stopped only to feel the presence of another growing behind him. On instinct, this Batman swiped his hand across his hips and withdrew from that various and far-off supplying dimension two demented and twisted knives that were once bat-shaped discs. These knives were immediately thrown backwards, aiming to stab into Ruby, though he could feel the flesh and blood of the children fly onto him, causing his attention afterward to the duo once more, watching as Super-girl prepared her heat vision, but it seemed it was too late for her, as the guts of the trio of Robins had been thrown about the area. “My boys!” He said, abruptly, as if forgetting Ruby behind him, but he had definitely not. He glanced at Kara once more, just before sliding a black ring onto his finger as he crouched down to the mound of flesh that was on the ground. A flurry of laughter started up again. “Man, I didn’t think you two would literally MURDER children.” He said hysterically. As if it never mattered to him.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk is still bent at the waist level, while that energy is producing that backlash into his mind. Not Easy. Back-Lash is a total Beeswax. Though his rapid breathing also continues behind that bubble. Sweat perforates his forehead and down along his face, towards his neck. Kirk used MOVE OBJECT, to send those Knives right into the GROUND, if possible? Then FORCE CRUSHED, those knives as well: if possible? Backlash, though: even as he was just now starting to stand to his full height it that Barrier / Bubble. Which doesn’t need repeating. “Your Boys are DEAD” Kirk mentions the obvious. “….You aren’t getting to either of us”

Kara Zor-El

Kara watched as the gore happened. Kirk beat her to it, although it was no competition. Never a competition between the Blue Team/K-Team. At least they had been dealt with by now. “Guess we’re uncultured.” She offered as justification for killing the ‘children’. They were anything but that, though. Whoever they used to be, they were better off now. This Batman had put them through worse things than death, she was sure of it. Her eyes drifted to Kirk. “They’re better off.” Kara added. Better than being with that creep.

The Batman Who Laughs

As the knives came back toward him, the timing of her own was just off. As he bent down to evaluate the damage of his ‘boys’, the knives seemingly glided right over him, impacting a nearby wall just before ironically being crushed by Kirk. He looked upward for a moment, and back to Ruby, shaking his head. “I don’t know why everyone in this universe is so hung up on religion. So dreadful, demons and angels…” He said with a bit of nauseating disgust. He aimed to throw a piece of the mush guts of the deceased boys toward Ruby. “They weren’t demons! You psychopath.” He said, wondering if she’d catch the poison laced bits and pieces of organs. Still, quickly snapped back to the situation at hand. He grumbled a little bit, hearing Kirk. “You know, I never wanted to hurt you, well…kinda. I just wanted The Batman.” He said, shamefully. He said, plucking a small canister from his side, black with a demented bat insignia on the front. He simply pulls the pin before dropping it to the ground, looking between them. “But you might be right. I should stop now…perhaps find The Batman elsewhere. After all, there’s no real trouble here. “He said just before the canister began to erupt a green gas, mixing with the very air, feeding on it to grow like a poisonous miasma. Modified Joker Gas really, but packed quite the punch with an added neuro-toxin additive. Started with seizures to, grave spouts of coughing up liquefied organs. He figured his bubble could protect against physical properties, but what about the very air in the room that was spreading around. Clearly, he was immune to the poison, but others…likely…not so much. He giggled hysterically before taking a few steps to the side, almost dancing about as he jumps on a table as the canister would continue to ooze out the gas, looking to them all, another hand moving to his waist again. “COME NOW, SOMEONE OPEN A WINDOW.” He shouts, throwing his hands into the air with a few tiny pebble shaped orbs. “Someone passed gas.” He gave a disparaging frown, before grinning again. “Maybe The Batman will come now.” -E-

Kara Zor-El

Seeing the green gas, Kara knew it was trouble. Why was it always green? Why? Either way, her Super Breath is good for many things. So what did she do? Well… she used her Super Breath to inhale all of the green gas in the room. Yep. Like a big vacuum cleaner. And since she was immune to poison and toxins, it would not harm her or anyone else. Once that was sucked up (if allowed?), Kara would fly out one of the windows to dispose it elsewhere. Probably in space or something. She’ll be back!

Captain James T. Kirk

Which likely left Kirk alone in that Protection Bubble / War Barrier with this creature. Yet his mind was still throbbing from the backlash from earlier. He could, maybe kill this thing with one force power? But he’s unsure it it’ll work? Green. Green Gas. Everything was now GREEN according these villains on Hellifyno. Deeper breaths ensued, “….What do you want with me?” They always wanted something from Him. Quick glance to Ruby and then back to this Fake Batman. “Maybe I AM The Batman” He advises, “…..Of My Own Universe” Doesn’t say Trek Universe. Still there is some hidden fear and precaution going on with this new development. To make matters worse? Or? Better? Kirk uses, DEADLY SIGHT. (Darksiders could inflict pain and injury upon their foes merely by looking at them, causing victims’ bodies to burn and smoke as they died. The user of Deadly Sight could damage entire groups of foes within their field of vision.). Kirk’s focus is on This Batman. This Fake Batman. And His Aim is Never OFF. “This might be where you get off?” Meaning, that he\’s killed? IF, THAT FORCE POWER WORKS?

The Batman Who Laughs

He raises a hand. “Geez, for a demon, you would think you could tell when someone has fallen into depravity…” Although, he does notice the look Ruby gave that meat. “Eat it. I dare you.” He encouraged with a dark grin, continuously smiling, even as Kara sucked in all the gas that was coming from the canister. “She’s much better than the other ones.” He said ominously, watching as she flew out of the Tavern, likely to disperse the gas. Now it was really just he and Kirk, he gave a snickering fit of laughter, looking about the man as he fumbled with the tiny orbs in his hand. “You!? The Batman? No. You’d be the most boring batman there ever had been or will be to be ever will be.” He said extremely quickly, as if trying to confuse Kirk. He raised his arms again before stating. “Unfortunately skipper, it’s not about you. You are just another person in the way. Sorry it had to end this way.” He said, looking into his eyes to see a slight, gleam within them. “You’re doing that thing again aren’t you?” He said, laughing manically as he drops the tiny black, metallic orbs onto the ground, in such a way that they are bouncing onto the ground nearest to Kirk. “No, No, No. Things like that won’t work on me, buddy boy. You don’t have enough hate in your heart.” As if he knew what Kirk was using. He didn’t although, it reminded him of a good series of movies. Still, the reason it seemed to have no effect on this Batman, was a secret he planned to keep hidden for the time being. Those orbs however that were on the ground, would open open with white cylinders about them with a small beep. “BOOM.” He shouts, just before a small explosion should erupt just beside Kirk from the orb if all went well enough.

Kara Zor-El

And the Girl of Steel was back from a short trip to space. Spaaaace. She came crashing through the roof, with debris falling down here and there. It was not enough to cause any major damage to people or objects. Just some dust and some pieces falling down. Seemed she was just on time, too! There were more of those canisters. It was quite possible that Kara was being caught in said blast without realizing it. Not that it would do much to her, aside from possibly sending her flying. Her landing had been next to Kirk, so she was definitely within blast radius. It’s not Super-girl if she doesn’t take any hits.

Captain James T. Kirk

So! So! Confused! What was he saying? What did he want then? “Another person in the way?” Kirk yelled! Even as that backlash continued to BACKLASH his senses! “Hate?” Kirk asks, totally confused. He was consumed by The Darkside! So this makes no sense to him! “IN THE WAY OF WHAT?” The explosion did hit around his bubble, but it could only take so much! And when that bubble gave way, it did so at the EXACT TIME of the explosion! Sending Kirk out of the bubble and back against a wall, and down to the floor int a THUD! CRASH. Hardly any movement occurs after the crash however. He’s still trying to get his bearings, as well…

The Batman Who Laughs

The explosion itself was enough to send him flying into a nearby wall, just out of the reach of Ruby. He was still in the radius, so it wasn’t like he was going to be getting away from it anytime soon. Once he crashed into the wall, a fit of laughter erupted form him as he fell out of the small crater embedded in the wall, falling to one knee for but a moment, continuously laughing. He was smoldering slightly, although it didn’t seem to do much to his body. Blood was flowing from his mouth, dripping onto his boots, but it was from him biting down upon his flesh in sheer excitement. He had seen a few others arrive in time for the explosion, although was rather pepped up by the destruction itself. “YES, THIS IS HOW IT ALL SHOULD BE.” He exclaimed, allowing himself to calm in the next moment and slowly rise. “Anyway…” He said, slipping a hand onto his hip and bouncing himself rhythmically from side to side. “If he didn’t show up after that, I am afraid he won’t even show up at all…” He spoke, talking about The Batman. “I’ll have to come back to find him, How annoying. Geez, you’d think someone in tights would be more punctual. It’s in their blood.”

Kara Zor-El

Ack! She appeared just as the explosion occurred. Or moments before, hearing the words from Kirk. The explosion would send her flying into a wall, too. Actually… right through it. The destruction had begun.

Captain James T. Kirk

When Kara went through that wall? Kirk got knocked down again. Pitiful. Here they are, a recognized team for Hellifyno: and they’re like bowling pins tonight? What was going on? They need to coordinate their tactics against this crazed batman. Panting, yet still half way on that ground. Backlash continued to be a pain in his beeswax. *To get to something. He’s in the way.* Even while trying to keep his own thoughts centered. Even that seemed to be an intangible web for the Captain. But then he remembered his Type-2 Phaser Pistol and leveled it from the ground to the perpetrator. “Their Blood?” Kirk asks, before firing off a shot from the pistol set to Kill………….

The Batman Who Laughs

“Come on now. This isn’t a way to treat a guest. I am Batman! Show a little love to me…” He said, looking toward Ruby, and a slightly faster Kida. Although, he didn’t think it would be worth taking on all of them at the moment. He was much smarter than that, and had many more tricks up his sleeve. He’d shift himself tot he side, tapping the side of a leather belt, glowing in a rather dimly lit silver just before silver light pollutes the area next to him, creating a hard-light clone. Said clone, or projection was surely, entirely physical. Just before Ruby would bite into him, he’d use the ‘clone’ to take the hit for him, she’d find herself biting into the clone, and baring her teeth into the figure of the hard-light manifested Batman. Once this was done, an intense golden light illuminates the entirety of the inn, enough to burn into the walls and ground, just as he kicks the body of the Hard-light clone that Ruby was biting into toward Kida. “It was fun kids, although, I’ll leave you all with a present. Till next time.” Doing so allowed momentum in the opposite direction, allowing him to fly backwards, just a bit and making him fall into a portal that suddenly manifested behind him. Just before his body was completely gone, a black crystal about the size of a baseball was thrown onto the ground. Just before Kida would be able to bite into this clone however, allowing the real one to leave, the shot from Kirk would impact said clone and cause it to completely explode. Concentrated UV light thrown about severely like another explosion but much larger, threatening to sear and break down everything that came in contact with the light…or leave extreme burns that they might have to create another degree for. Similar to radiation burns. Still, amidst the explosion the black crystal would remain. This was his modified Black Kryptonite. Regular kryptonite usually split a Kyptonian into a bad and good half. But this completely drove them insane, turned them dark and demented. He’d used it to make Superman and even his son kill his spouse and his son’s mother. Just before superman would later kill his son. Clearly, extremely potent. It’s use for the moment would be a mystery, although Kara would be in for quite a surprise once she entered the tavern. Who knows, she may go….insane. -e-

Kara Zor-El

Oh, it wasn’t enough to keep her down. Kara stood up, her costume dusty from the wall. All they had to worry was a washing program of the washing machine. The explosion left a ringing sound within her ears. While she still had the sound dampeners within the belt from Alex, she didn’t have them on her. So her ears were ringing as she was on the ground. What was happening inside? Loud sounds + Super Hearing was NOT a good mix. Kara was coming to. More so due to the fog, one could say. Not that she was seeing it. But her ears weren’t ringing at this point. Kara had suffered no other injuries during this fight. However she figured this would not be the last they saw of this crazed Batman. As for Kida’s question, Kara sat up. “Better late than never.” Offering a smile as she ran a hand through her hair, due to most of it being in her face. “Where’s Kirk? Is he okay?” For she did not see him. The explosion was the last thing she saw. Though she could hear more voices now. Two more had arrived by now.

Captain James T. Kirk

Kirk was still down on that floor, still basically recovering from the events of …The Batman. Panting. He cautiously searched the room, yet saw Ruby on the ground and Kara wasn’t doing so well either. The Induced Fog does help him, but the wounds are fresh from this evening. Canisters. Bombs. He’s surprised that he didn’t get a shot gun in his face, but maybe that’s for later? Who were they after? Poor Kara. Kirk uses what-ever strength that he’s got…- Possible Kinetite, to keep that Black Orb contained? If that works, Kirk is still shaking his head, trying to stay centered. “That Orb” He says, and uses FORCE THROW, to possibly send it out of the Tavern? As far away as possible, so that it won’t be near KARA! Accelerated Healing is helping Kirk, though such force energies had taken a toll on him. For he’s not ALL Powerful. He just, he needs to recharge. Actually getting up to his hands and knees now, while staring up rather exhausted over to Kida, Kara and Ruby……Would any of his tricks work?

Kara Zor-El

Whatever orb might have been there had been missed by her. Which was probably for the better, truth be told. Kara was better off not knowing what it was. Her gaze wandered to the individuals. There was Ruby… Kida… Tyler and someone else? Kirk was… there! Now she saw him. Goodness, he didn’t look good. Actually… he does but not in the sense of looking healthy. He looked exhausted and outright tired. “Kirk!” Kara uttered, with a smile following. No rest for the wicked – so she got off of her Kryptonian bootay and walked over to him, even offering a strong, sturdy hand for him to take. “Are you alright?” Probably not. But the question was both asked and more importantly – genuine. The others seemed to be doing alright, considering.

Captain James T. Kirk

Nothing’s changed. What the hell happened tonight? He remains partially in that position for a few more minutes, until he’s ready to take Kara’s hand. But eventually The Captain rises to a shaky standing position. HEAD-ACHE, is rupturing through his soul, his brain matter and lastly it’s worsened due to his Force Levels. Blinks. BLINKS. “What the hell was that?” Unsteady feet…..

Kara Zor-El

Kara waited for as long as it took for him to take her hand. Helping him up, she thought about his question. “A very, very crazy being.” That was putting it mildly. “Everyone is alright though.” Kara would help to a chair, for him to sit down in. Nice and slow. “Take your time. I’m here. No rush or anything.” Reassuring words for an exhausted Captain.
